The electricians arrived on time and completed the work on time. They were very flexible. I added one additional project for them on the day of installation and they did not hesitate to add it on. I also commented about things I was promised in the original estimate and they quickly remedied the situation. I was very impressed with Ed who came out for the original estimate. Ed spent 20-30 minutes walking me through exactly what needed to be done, how it would look when the work was completed, etc. The estimated price was right on and Schaeffer's bid was very competitive with the other bid I received. I appreciated their customer service which became the decisive factor in choosing Schaeffer. The office staff was very professional and efficient. I appreciated how quickly Valerie was able to book my appointment to have the work done within a week.

Guy came in, found the problem, and fixed it in minutes. It was that simple!

Called afternoon 5/18/2011. Electrician arrived afternoon 5/19/2011. Equipment evaluated and problem discovered. Electrician explained problem and repair. He subsequently disassembled the main electrical box and marked the wires and circuits and removed the other control boxes from an old rotted wooden post. The boxes were weather protected On 5/26/2011 the electrician returned with a new main panel and reconnected all the circuits, installed two vinyl poles in cement, attached all the control boxes and restored proper function. At this time all systems are functioning properly and we are very pleased with the result. The electrician did an excellent job from initial diagnosis thru final repair and clean up.

Was satisfied with work done and with performance and behavior of the installer. We had covered everything in the bathroom, but was surprised that the installer did not come prepared to cover the floor. He did sweep up and clean the area after completion, however.

I found everything prompt, professional, and was the lowest of the 3 bids we got. Our estimator was responsive to the changes I wanted to make to the original bid and to specific brands I wanted to stay with.

The service person came to my house early for an appointment to give an estimate on updating our electrical panel. He spent at least half an hour at my house. He said he would email me a quote no later than the next day and never did. It was a waste of my time.

the service tech was great worked fast and told me everything he was doing while he was doing the install. An checked all the work he did to make sure it was functioning as it should.

Arrived on time and completed the work efficiently and professionally. Very reasonably priced. This is the second time I have used this company and was again very pleased.

I haven't tripped a breaker since! I would use them again in the future.

Great experience. I called with the hopes of having the fluorescent light removed, and since Kevin finished that with time to spare, he was able to fix our two external outlets. He also evaluated a couple of electrical questions I had in the kitchen and basement. Schaeffer fit us in with one day's lead time and accomplished so much. I would recommend them highly and use them again.

It went fine. They even researched the product after it was installed to answer some questions I had. Excellent work and a great price.

Excellent experience! I emailed the firm on a Sunday afternoon. The receptionist, Valerie, called me first thing Monday morning. I confirmed that I wanted them to come at 10:30, and their technician was at my home at 1 pm. Very impressive. Josh was affable, helpful, quickly solved the problem, and suggested options if it recurred. With time on the clock left (there is a minimum 1 hr charge), he asked if I had anything else that needed attention. Definitely a firm to keep on my call again list.

On 05/10/2010, Brian Schaeffer came to my property to perform an estimate to upgrade four electrical panels from 60 AMP fuse boxes to 100 AMP circuit breakers. He arrived on time and was polite and professional. Unfortunately, I never received the estimate. I e-mailed Mr. Schaeffer on 05/25/10, but received no response. At this time, I have received no estimate, no response to my e-mail, or follow-up of any kind from Schaeffer Electric Company.

I called Schaeffer Electric based on the Angie's List review after being burned by another company who was fixing a drain for me (three appointments later...still not fixed). I contacted Valerie Camden to set up an appointment. She was extremely friendly, explained every detail, and she even guessed the brand of ceiling fan I needed replaced by the problem it was having! She was upfront about all pricing and there were absolutely NO hidden fees or unexpected expenses. They were even able to get the appointment setup within two days of me calling (due to my schedule). Paul Krobath came out right on time, explained all the steps that were going to be needed, and got right to work! He had to come back with a few more parts, but they were able to schedule me the very next business day and Paul was right on time again. He worked extremely quickly and efficiently and was friendly and did all of the work with little or no disruption to me! I would recommend them to anyone who needs electrical, lighting, or service needs. Be sure to print out the Angie's list coupon too!

I called & since it was past working hours, was told they would come at 7:00 the next morning. Paul arrived on time & checked out the A.C. & found two defective circuit breakers which he replaced & then moved the other circuit via a cable to the other fuse box across the basement. He worked fast & efficiently & obviously knew what he was doing. Besides that he was also very personable & polite. He gave me an Angie's List discount. Altogether a very positive experience !!!

Experienced electrician did an excellent job of troubleshooting. Provided advice on checking and updating all outlets that we can do ourselves. Very professional.

They returned my call to schedule an estimate the same day and were able to come out within 2 days. It did take a few days to get the estimate by e-mail, but my questions were answered promptly. They were able to schedule the work within a week. The installers were on time, efficient and professional. They laid down plastic on the floor so they wouldn't get it dirty and they finished quicker than expected.

Went very well. The electrician, Josh, was great, arrived on time, and very friendly. He was very familiar with the wiring of my type of house, which is why he was able to quickly solve the problem. They do charge a bit more than some of the other companies I contacted and charge for travel time, which is why I gave them a B for price. Although, it was well worth it.

The experience with Schaeffer was excellent from start to finish. When we called for an estimate, they were very friendly & courteous. After asking us a few questions for what kind of work we needed, she told us to expect a call from one of their estimators for an appointment. We were called by Brian Schaffer and he scheduled a time to take a look at our house. After getting estimates from several companies, Brian was easily the most friendly, professional and courteous during his visit, and that went a long way in helping us make our choice. He e-mailed us the estimates the next day, and we went ahead and scheduled the work. They got us scheduled about a week in advance for a Friday, although they called and e-mailed us the morning before to let us know our electrician would have to be pushed back to the following Monday. Although slightly inconvenient, they made every effort to contact us to make us aware. On the day of installation, we were told the electrician would be ready to go at 7:00AM. To our pleasant surprise, he was already outside our house in his van 20 minutes early. He was very friendly and pleasant to talk to, and was more than happy to answer any questions or address any concerns throughout the entire process. The install took the better part of 6 hours for both circuits, and for the most part went without a problem. The only small hiccup occured when he accidentally drilled a little too far through an outer wall, slightly damaging a piece of vinyl siding. No sooner had it happened that he immediately found us to make us aware and to show us what had happened. He was extremely apologetic, and made sure we were aware that Schaeffer would repair the damage. Once the work was complete, he made sure he cleaned up any messes that had been made as a result of the work. Afterwards, he once again apologized for his mistake and immediately called Brian to make him aware of the damage. Brian consulted with us on how we wanted to have it repaired, and offered us the option to have their contractors take a look or to send him the estimate from a contractor of our choosing. We let their contractor take care of it, and now we can't even tell where the damage was on the side of the house! Overall, from start to finsh, the entire staff of Schaeffer made this an exceptional experience. I'm not sure how much electrical work we may need in the future, but I know who will be getting my business again should the need arise.

They were very polite, and the work went quite well. They got the job done fairly quickly - in about an hour. We used him in preparation for another job that is coming down the line. The problem with the price is that you have to pay for the first travel, and so I suspect that if it was a bigger job, the price would have been better. I felt that the price was a little high for the initial work. I would use them in the future.
