Craig Kelley did a fantastic job in a very professional yet friendly manner. He was really good at listening to our concerns and doing problem solving to meet our needs. When we realized how skilled he was we added a few requests to our original request and Craig stayed to work on them. We were really happy with the quality and outcome of his work.

Schaeffer came out the same day I called, assessed the situation, gave me an estimate and once given the go ahead ordered the panel. They were able to replace it within a day giving me peace of mind that my home wasn't going to catch on fire. The panel replacement ended up being less than originally quoted which was a bonus. Excellent service and would definitely use them again!

Very well. Our original circuit breaker was insufficient to handle our A/C unit. Schaeffer was able to diagnose the problem and provided the correct circuit breaker for our needs. They were timely in responding to our call.

They found it had to do with whomever wired the garage. I had them replace some lights I couldnt get to. They did a good job and knew what they were doing and I would use them again.

I've used Schaeffer so much with rehabbing rental properties, I don't bother getting other bids. I'll called Valerie to discuss our room addition and wanted Josh to install a new 200 amp panel. They sent Ed out to look things over to see what materials were needed to be ordered. We agreed to do time and material. I always request Josh because he is so easy to work with and the does the neatest job. Materal was delivered the day before. Josh came and got the job done. Didn't wait for the electric to be turned off. He pulled the meter and started working. After the juice was off, he finished, called Ameren and the inspector knowing about when he would be done. No sitting around waiting on others. Josh knows his job!!!! Josh and I talked about the new room addition as he wil be doing the job. I called Val with my credit card and paid the invoice over the phone. As Josh says.... "easy peasy".

We had an emergency on a Saturday night with constant tripping of a circuit. We weren't sure how dangerous the situation was and to make matters worse, we were leaving on a trip very early on Monday morning, leaving our pets in the house to be looked after by a petsitter looking in on them several times a day. Plus, we wanted the outside lights on while we were gone. This company is listed on Angie's List as doing Emergency Service. I called their emergency number and got a recording to call three separate people with three separate #'s. I called a couple of them and left messages, telling them the 'emergency' aspect of our call and telling them we were worried enough that we considered having to cancel our tour. I also mentioned that we'd called several other companies and no one returned our call and we were desperate - please call us back. No one ever returned our desperate call at this company. Apparently, their idea of an emergency is different than mine. Maybe they didn't want to take the job, but a call back would have been very helpful.

Bid service out to three companies. Schaeffer's bid was competitive. It's been a year since the install and I haven't had any issues.

Awesome job on the installation of a motion detector porch light. Josh arrived on time, was very knowledgeable, and completed the job efficiently.

I was very happy from the first time I called Schaeffer for an estimate. Ed was our salesman and he was prompt with his visit and his quote was available at the time of his visit. Ed explained everything that was going to be done, he was very professional and personable. We scheduled our time and Shawn the electrician was prompt did his work with professionalism and even made friends with our German Shepherd. Shawn did a great time, cleaned up when he was finished and showed us all the work and explained what he had done. He was great. Valerie in the office was fantastic to work with. She also explained the process, scheduled our county inspection and did the follow up regarding Ameren and what they did to do. We highly recommend Schaeffer Electrical and definitely would us them for any electrical work.

I know a real good electrician and that would be Schaeffer Electric. I have a business down town and they have mostly helped me down town 3 or 4 times. There haven't been any big jobs but they were very prompt, very reasonable and professional. They got the job done. It really wasn't expensive, it was just a couple of hundred dollars. I have been using their services for a year. I will use them again in the future for sure.

The two technicians arrived on time and got right to work. This project took the entire day but by 4pm everything was finished. We have had no problems since completion and everything works great. Power was necessarily out for about 3 hours. The new breaker box is working flawlessly as is the vehicle charger. Hopefully, we will be able to use our Christmas lights and a hairdryer simultaneously this coming year.

They were outstanding. This is the third time we have had Schaeffer to our house, and each time the work has been done on time, expertly, and courteously. Our technician today, Josh, was right on time this morning, finished promptly, cleaned up after himself, and everything was done exactly as we needed. We couldn't be happier with Schaeffer. Everything went well, and we had no issues as far as I can recall. In fact, they did such a good job that we hired them to install an exhaust fan in our bathroom at a later date.

I was disappointed. They made a mistake when they wired up my standby generator and that was a problem for a while until it's finally straightened out. It was quite a large job, new service panel and everything. Actually for almost 2 years of a generator you couldn't rely on because it was wired wrong until the company that supplied the generator came on by and sent their technician out and he straightened it all out. It was for 2 years and that we were fortunate we didn't have a big power outage because we would have been without it. It could happen but it's just a disappointment when I company like that. They were friendly. They were neat. I had to pay the generator company some money to straighten it out and then they put me back on them, so finally Schaeffer Electric reimbursed me for their cost in my pocket but it took a little while. Some of the electricians are good, the helper was good.

I have used Schaeffer several times in the past and find them prompt, polite and professional. I don't remember precisely when I called for an appointment but am sure I didn't wait more than a week. Paul installed the ceiling fan and light kit on 10-13-14 for $405. He examined the light post in the yard that day and determined that he needed far more time to repair it so planned to return on 10-22-14. He returned on 10-22-14 to work on the light post. He had to fish a new wire from the house to the light post, dig several inches down through our new landscaping and insulated the wire to avoid anyone accidentally hitting it with a shovel in future, installed a electrical outlet where the wire emerged from the house. He eliminated the manual switch to the light post, instead installing a day/night automatic switch. He charged $676. for the repair of the light post. He used our original post and light fixture. His excavation through the new landscaping was imperceptible. I also asked him if installing three electric sconces in the living room was feasible. He examined the area carefully and determined that there wasn't sufficient space behind the wall to install an entirely new electrical outlet so I abandoned that idea. Paul was polite, professional, and helpful.
