First favorite thing - they have someone who actually answers the phone when you call! They've been good at responding via email, as well. Our first contact was to get an estimate on a number of items we needed completed. That was both mailed and emailed to us. The estimate was a total for all the items, but each part was not individually totalled, so it was hard to tell exactly how much each thing would cost. We did have them come out and do a few of the things and the guy did a fine job. On their most recent visit, he installed a new GFCI outlet in the bathroom. He did a good job of positioning the outlet and minimizing the mess. He also replaced a broken outlet. Cleanup is a little so-so, but we're pleased with their work and would have no problem contacting them again. They have an email newsletter than usually has a coupon, as well.

We really like them. Their prices are good and they are impeccable.

The electrician was courteous and knowledgable. He worked quickly.

We have a 100 year old house that has old wiring and new wiring, so, when we tried to change the outside light bulb and got shocked. We had another electrician to look at it and he could not even understand what was going on. However, Schaeffer Electric people went up to the attic and explained what was hooked up to what that should not have been. I liked that they chased down the problem. We have a light in the basement and the ground wire is hot. My husband is not comfortable in changing the receptacle, so, they are coming out again on Tuesday.

It was a good experience and the company is responsive and friendly.

Never responded to my email through Angie's List. At least have the courtesy to call to say no, we won't do it.

It went smoothly from start to finish. John was on time and courteous.

I called them up with an emergency call and the woman who took my call was excellent. They were very responsive and professional.

They were really fine. They were reasonable and very well trained. Some of their employees have been there a long time and they helped the younger employees with things that they didn?t know.

Schaeffer Electric did everything that they said they would and they were very accommodating. They were very curtious and prompt. They did the job in the time frame that I wanted because I was trying to sell the house.

We set up a time and they showed up exactly at that time. The crew that had come out was very courteous and co-operative. They knew what to do and cleaned up well after wards. It was very easy to work with them. The quality of work was excellent.

I was able to secure a next day appointment. I called on a Friday and the appointment was scheduled for Monday. The electrician came earlier than I had expected which was very nice. He called in advance, assessed the situation and completed the inside work quickly. Since it was raining he was not able to complete the outside work, but did put it on the schedule to return - without another service charge- and complete the work when it wasn't raining.

They did an excellent job. I have used them before because they do good work. I thought the price was a little high, but this is a very important piece of equipment so you need to have it done right. I have not had any problems with it.

My appointment was scheduled for 7am and Paul knocked on my door at exactly 7am. He was very knowledgeable and very open to my questions and concerns. Paul was also very informational with the questions I had surrounding the low voltage system in my house, which is something past electricians were unsure about. The entire job only lasted a little over 2 hours. Paul worked dilligently to get my outlet installed on the ceiling and also repair one on my office wall. He kept me updated throughout the entire process. Overall, the experience was excellent. I would recommend Schaeffer Electric to anyone who needs electrical service. From the point of requesting a service ticket up onto the point of completion, everything worked well. If you're going to use Schaeffer, I'd suggest asking for Paul. He was great!

He was timely, but I was not hugely impressed with the expertise of the person who came. He took a really long time to do a job that I thought was not very difficult, and he made a lot of holes in our ceiling trying to find wires that he had to move. I really don't know if it was a more difficult job than I thought it was. It seemed he had to guess quite a few times where to get access to the wires from. He took about 3 hours to finish the job, and I felt that the price was a little high - but again, that might be because I believe that he could have finished the job faster.

I used them for different things like wiring, changing switches and general electric work. We have been using them for a year now and our experience with them has been good. They always show up on time and do competent work. They don't overcharge us and their quality of work is always good. We have called them thrice so far and never had any problems with them.

I originally heard about them from Angie s list. The house we bought was under warranty and the warranty guys were awful. They said it was the problem with the circuit board. So, the electric guy come out and made sure that it was not a conflict on the circuit board. The price they charged me for the work was fine.

They were fabulous. They were prompt, professional, efficient. They were great. The electrician had a great design idea that we ended up using. Eventually we are going to redo the bathroom that is above the kitchen, so he ran the wire into the bathroom so when they open it up it is ready to go and saved us money on that project.

Brian Schaeffer arrived ahead of schedule and was very professional and friendly. We had already had other contractors through the house so the walk-through went quickly because we knew what we wanted. I explained that we had a short turnaround time and needed the estimate quickly. He e-mailed it to me that afternoon. The bid was higher than the other one that we went with, but he explained in the bid that it was likely that the final total would be lower. Because of the potential for complications with installing the new wiring, they had given us a higher bid so that we wouldn't be surprised if it took longer than expected. For future electrical projects, I will certainly consider using Schaeffer again.

We are quite pleased with our experience with just a few slight glitches. We had no idea how much what we wanted would cost and when the first estimate came back we figured out quickly what was outside of our budget. Ed came back with great ideas that would get a great result, but more within our comfort range. The work done is professional and beautiful, not your run-of-the-mill up lights. We were provided with drawings showing us where the lines are buried so we don't mess it up when we do additional landscaping. We didn't like the fact that our job was delayed several weeks at the start because a bigger job took precedence, even after we'd given a deposit. Follow up adjustments to the angle of the lights and some other details seemed to take rather long to get accomplished. We still have one light that needs to be re-aimed. However, Ed our designer, and the guys who installed the equipment are top notch.

Schaeffer did great. I dealt with Mr. Schaeffer. He was on time and explained everything very well. He told me it would be two or three days before the estimate would come my way, and it was there in two days. The electrician, John, was very helpful and knowledgeable during the entire installation. Everything was done on time, and done right. I am very satisfied with the company as a whole.

Brian Schaefer showed up as agreed, we went over the work I wanted completed. He took the information and everything seemed to proceed normally. I asked for the bid ASAP because I wanted some of the work done quickly. Brian took my e-mail address and said he would get back to me the next day with a bid. A week passed and I received no bid. I contracted with another electrician to do the work. I wanted to find out why I did not get a bid. I spoke to someone at the main number, and was given Brian Schaefer's cell phone. I called and left a message on his voice mail, asking why no bid was received, as I knew I would be writing this report in Angie's List. A day later and I have heard nothing from Schaefer Electric or Brian Schaefer.

Although the box was torn off, we never lost service. Therefore, it wasn't an emergency. Schaeffer still arrived within 48 hours of my call to re-attach the box.

They were prompt, friendly and courteous. They might be a little pricey, but I don't know because I've never had that kind of work done before. I will use them again.
