They were very nice to deal with. They provided good information and the suggestion to build a retaining wall. Unfortunately, the retaining wall doesn’t fit within the deal.

provide an estimate to fix cracks in basement. He provided me a good education on how he could fix the problems and di not try to sell me on solutions that were over priced like some other foundation companies had in the past. I appreciarte is professionalism and providing a solution that was reasonable is its ability to fix the problem with out breaking the bank. WSill be calling him back once I have the funds to do the project.

arrived on time. new helper getting on the job training from the owner. left about noon and was gone for about three hours; had originally been told they would be gone maybe an hour. this was not a problem but made me a bit curious. clean up was pretty good but I had to point out a couple of issues. so far, this work has helped resolve my basement water issues. had about 4+ inches of rain a few days later and the work done seemed to have prevented water entering. only time will tell if this is a permanent fix or only a stop gap. my original contract called for a different job; however, when I realized this would probably kill some major flower gardens, I requested it not be done at this time. instead I asked for attention to my sump pump and sump pit and an exterior drain. they were very agreeable to doing this and I really appreciated it.
Description of Work: Epoxy injected five cracks in the basement walls; some were allowing water to come into the basement. Also sealed around a pipe that penetrated the basement wall which had allowed lots of water to come through. Drilled holes in the bottom and side wall of my sump pit to allow hydrostatic pressure under the basement floor to be relieved. Packed around four drain pipes that entered the sump pit; this was to prevent dirt and debris from entering the pit. Filed off an exterior drain pipe so that the water could better access the drain and be taken away.

Basically I paid $50 for an inspection I did not need. The only waterproofing this coupon goes towards involves tearing up your basement floor and involves around $7,000 worth of work! So the $300 off is nothing! This does not go towards working on your sump pump, or any other form of waterproofing. We have only owned our house for 6 months, so I will cut them some slack in that I don't know a ton about waterproofing a basement. But, on that note I believe they should be more upfront in what all that entails - it was not in the fine print - it was under the general umbrella of "waterproofing". If I did need to seriously improve my basement (which I currently don't) I would probably use them for the simple fact that they were quick to respond, seemed knowledgeable and friendly. However this coupon was worthless to me.
Description of Work: I purchased $50 for $300 worth of waterproofing from Roberts Foundation And Crack Repair thinking that there were many ways to waterproof my basement. The inspector came out, was very nice and courteous - but there was fine print that your average person would be clueless about.

Brad came out on Feb 27, 2013, to look at our problems in the basement and give us a bid. He was really nice, honest, and straight forward with us. He was able to answer any questions we had regarding the work that was to be performed. Mike and his crew came back out to the house on March 13, 2013, to perform the work we needed done. Mike and I went over each part of the process he would be doing. He was really thorough and does a great job explaining what will be taking place. The guys were really nice and did a great job cleaning up when they were done. They placed drop clothes by the door and down the stairs so they wouldn't get the carpet messy. One gentleman worked strictly on the struts that were being installed on the wall that was starting to push inward. He did a really good job getting them straight and tight against the wall. These cracks were then epoxy injected. Mike was really great to work with. At one point, we weren't quite sure if the bid included a portion of a crack they were already injecting. Even after Mike called and talked to Brad about it, it still wasn't clear. Mike went ahead and fixed the whole crack because he said "you can't just fix part of a crack!" We really appreciate him doing that! We have had a couple of big storms since the work has been done and I can gladly report that our basement stayed dry! We will definitely call Roberts Foundation and Crack Repair for any future work we may need.
Description of Work: We had three steel struts installed along a foundation wall that was being pushed inward. We had approximately 65 feet of foundation cracks and a leaking tie back epoxy injected.

Although their price was more than I expected it to be, the job the team from Roberts did was great. They had to dig a hole on the outside of my house to fix the crack in the finished part of my basement (as opposed to going through the dry wall), but the other two cracks were easily accessible from the inside since they were in the unfinished portion of my basement. The crew that performed the work was extremely professional and very conscientious. In fact, they recommended bringing in double the amount of dirt that I had been quoted to help insure the job was done properly and I was happy with the outcome. I would definitely recommend that anyone with cracks in their basement (aka leaks) consider using Roberts, however, you might want to get a second quote just to ensure that their price is competitive.

Very friendly, knowledgeable young man came out to check the crack in my basement wall. He also checked outside and found a crack there that we hadn't previously seen. He filled in the crack in the basement and told us exactly what to do with the pieces sticking out where he injected the sealer. He then proceeded to seal the crack outside. He did a great job.

My first meeting with Brad was great. He came out to trouble-shoot basement waterproofing issues (as a part of an Angie's List Deal), and to look at a slow leak in my basement and try to discern the cause and estimate on the job to solve that problem. Though we couldn't be sure what was causing the leak without tearing out a lot, given where it was, it was obvious that somehow water was getting in through the front porch. Because of such positive reviews on Angie's List, and my positive experience with Brad's helpfulness in answering questions, etc, as we talked about the problem, I hired them to tear out the front porch, find the problem underneath and resolve that, and then replace the front porch with a simple concrete slab porch. I also had them install a buried discharge line from where the sump pump line left the house, as the plumber who installed the sump pump did not do a very good job and left that right by the house. On this project, Bo (Beau? sp?) did an excellent job, and I appreciated working with him. On the front porch, Michael oversaw the team working on that, and my experience with him was not so positive. They broke up part of the front porch, and then seemed disinclined to continue pulling more off as it would create more work to pull the whole thing off becasue of how it was constructed. I was fine with that plan as long as they could take care of wherever water was getting in without pulling off more of the porch. Michael seemed hesitant to assure me that they could do so, and told me they couldn't guarantee a new porch would solve the problem. I had to remind him that the entire reason for pulling off the porch was to find the problem underneath it, and solve that, and that there was no where else that water could be getting in (as he had seen when he was with Brad on the initial visit, and as I showed him again). Finally, I convinced him that we needed to see what was going on underneath, and he agreed to pull off enough more to see... When it was exposed, there were several clear cracks, which he could then patch and seal, which was great. He even acknowledged that it was good I'd convinced them to keep tearing more off. So far, so good. But then the concrete porch they poured was pretty poorly done. It was rushed, and sloppy. The front edge was jagged at one point, since they had used two separate pieces of wood for the form. A corner tool was applied while the cement was still too wet, making a very messy finish of the corners. And a pretty sloppy brush finish, which I had not wanted anyway, was applied to the top of the porch. Also, they put in a very messy 45 degree corner thing between the porch and the sidewalk, which was ugly, dirty, and unnecessary (and I certainly had not requested). To top it all off, they didn't clean up the brick where concrete had gotten on the brick at the joint of the porch with the house. I did not get a chance to see any of this, as I was away from home when they finished the project. Michael called me to let me know they were done, and then ran my credit card for the full cost of the project before I'd had a chance to see it and sign off on it being completed to my satisfaction. I called the next day, when it was still wet enough for someone to come out and remedy these issues pretty easily. After Brad came out and saw what he agreed was a poorly done job, Michael agreed to re-do the porch. I appreciated that, but then, a few weeks later when they still hadn't called to schedule the job, he asked if it could be postponed until spring. I said I wasn't a fan of that idea, but that I was willing to wait, as long as the non-deposit portion of my payment be reimbursed to my card, to be paid when the job was actually completed to my satisfaction. Finally, over a month later on Nov 1, Michael came back out with a few guys to re-do the porch. Overall, this time around was fine. As the guys were wrapping up, they came to have me look at it. It was much improved, but the forms had been pulled off while it was still pretty wet, and the corner tool applied, so the corners, and even the edges, were a little sloppy. So, I affirmed the vast improvement, and asked them to smooth those corners out. The guys working with Michael saw that right away and started smoothing with a wet brush. Michael, however, seemed visibly angry, and walked away without responding to me, got into his truck, and left. Andre and Bo/Beau (sp?) were left behind, and the three of us smoothed out the messier bits together. I appreciated working with them, and their willingness to make the job right. And, while I do really appreciate Michael's willingness to make the job right by re-doing the porch, and appreciated working with his guys, and with his rep Brad, the overall experience is certainly not one I'd like to repeat.

It was well done and service was good. There was some confusion regarding the Angie's List deal. The front office received my initial call and was told about the coupon. The sales/estimate person did his thing (and was a good guy) and may not have been informed of the deal. I called him prior to the actual work after I had sent in the deposit. I did so to be sure he would communicate with the work crew about the deal coupon, as we were to pay the work supervisor the remainder of funds on completion. I have done enough of these things where the poor guy who does the work and is supposed to collect doesn't have all the info he needs. Sure enough, he didn't. After some messing around and some give and take between the work supervisor and the front office, we finally got it worked out. Otherwise, all good. And, the guys who did the work were great.

Roberts Foundation & Crack Repair (RFCR) provided a timely and thorough review of ways to address the dampness in two corners of our basement. They offered some exterior landscaping solutions as well as a full proposal for crack repairs on one wall and a thorough basement draining system circling the house with a lesser option circling about 1/2 of the house. We ended up needing to address other household issues first and so have not had RFCR complete the proposed work, however we certainly recommend them for evaluation of similar problems. Prompt, fair, efficient, professional.

I had him look at the foundation of my house and make sure that it was sealed and that water would not be able to seep in. At one point he suggestion to fill in areas around my house with dirt, which he did. Later, another contractor came and said he should have seeded the dirt he put around my house to prevent erosion. Overall, he did do a great job and I have not had any problems with leaking like I used to.

The crew was very conscientious and considerate, and although the jack hammering seemed to go on forever the end result seems worth it...I can't tolerate another water-in-the-basement experience, and the warranty will ensure that won't happen again.
Description of Work: Michael and his crew installed a sump pump and drainage tile in the basement of my 20+ year old house. They broke away (jack hammered) about a foot of concrete around the perimeter and dug a hole down to the soil/clay under the basement for the sump pump. Then Installed the drainage tile, back filled with gravel, and re-concreted the areas. My house is uniquely situated so the discharge pvc piping proved a challenge, but Michael figured a way to get it done.

We had a leak in our basement from a crack in the foundation. This was behind a finished wall and was first identified years prior and I had performed some repairs to stop the leak before. After the exceedingly dry summer, the leak began again, although not at the level that previously occurred. Called on a Tuesday and scheduled an appointment for an estimate on Thursday afternoon. Brad Hooten arrived on time for the appointment and had even attempted to reschedule earlier in the day. I showed him the location of the crack, including explaining what I had done years before to attempt to mitigate and solve the problem. He took a look at the outside of the basement to determine if any work was necessary there. He was very thorough in answering my many questions and provided us with two options: repair the crack from the inside or repair the crack from the outside. He explained everything that was involved in each as well as expectations for full repair of the crack and what to expect in terms of continued water leakage in my basement. He explained they could do either option alone or do them both together. He also stated that they could do the work the next day or the following Friday. We opted to wait as we were still waiting for other estimates. The following Tuesday we decided to have Roberts Foundation & Crack Repair perform the work. Brad came directly to our home to sign the contract and collect the deposit. The work was scheduled for approximately 2 weeks later (they had already scheduled work for the following Friday). The work crew arrived promptly at 8:30 on the appointed day and consisted of the owner, Michael Roberts, and two additional crew members (one of whom appeared to be still be training). They immediately got to work both inside and outside. Mr. Roberts not only supervised, but worked alongside the crew members and was overheard saying things like "We want to make sure it's done right" or instructing the crew on proper procedures. Before completing the work around noon, they walked around to the work sites to show what they had done. It has rained fairly heavily three times since the work was completed and our basement has remained bone dry. The work inside isn't "finished" work, but it would be fairly easy to make repairs to our finished basement and return it to a usable state. The crew cleaned up well behind themselves, including raising the grade of the land against the foundation near the crack outside. They did an excellent job working in a smaller area and left the area as good or better than they found it.

We had purchased a coupon for their services for reviewing our basement and leakage issues as well as $300 worth of work to be done. They were very nice and professional. They were on time. I feel they gave us a fair bid on the services performed. We did not receive the $300 worth of services because that was only applied to waterproofing work and that is not what was done but they did give us $25 - $50 off of the total. The workers that came were so very nice and professional. We have since found another crack and we will definitely call them back. I would highly recommend this company.

Mike Roberts and his team did a great job. I had drain tile and a sump pump installed in my basement. It finally rained heavily this week, and for the first time, my basement was dry! They were on time, efficient and best of all, quality work for a reasonable price. I had several quotes for doing the work, but Roberts was the most competitive. I had the company put in underground downspouts last summer which alleviated part of the basement water problem, and called Mike Roberts again when I decided I should just go ahead and get the entire basement taken care of. Thank you!

Mr. Roberts came and did an estimate for the seal plate and the crack repairs. We had a couple other contractors give a estimates a year or so before (we put it on the backburner for a while after that), and Mr. Roberts's prices were very afforable in comparison. We mentioned that the downspouts deposit so much water near the house, and asked him what he thought could be done, besides just attaching a long ugly plastic pipe extension on top of the grass. He told us that they could bury pipe along the sides of our house, which the downspouts could route their water to, and have it release the water in our front yard, away from the house. We agreed to do all this work. In our dealings with him, he was knowlegeable, friendly, and professional. On the day they came to do the work, an unexpected storm came up out of nowhere, which caused them to have to delay the outside work for a while, so they all worked on the basement cracks first. Because it was now muddy outside because of the heavy rain, Mr Roberts informed us that the sod which they were planning to flip over to lay the pipe, then flip back, would probably not look quite as good since they'd be more likely to fall apart since they were sopping wet. He gave us the option for him to come back another (drier) day, but we told him it was perfectly fine with us to proceed with the work if he liked. He did, and it still looked pretty good in the end. Since they had to wait for the rain to end so they could work get outside, they killed the time by sealing a few smaller, thinner cracks in our basement (that I had not planned to have sealed) for free, so that was very nice of them. We were pleased with the work, it all seems to have been done well. We haven't gotten all that much rain since then to test it, but during what rain we have gotten, their work seems to handle it perfectly fine. We are quite happy with Mr. Roberts and his team, and would definitely use them again in the future if we have need.
Description of Work: Mr. Roberts and his team repaired several cracks in our basement, most vertical, two diagonal. There was also a point at the top of our basement wall where water would spill over the top, so they installed a new "seal plate". They also buried pipe in our yard and tied in our gutter downspouts and our sump pump discharge to them, to get the water further away from the house before it deposits it into the yard via a "pop-up" exit point.
