Over all I am pleased. Workers were overall punctual and polite. Small problems that we had were fixed on the second visit. They were punctual and worked hard. I am pleased with their work and I am pleased with the price. People we have had to speak with on the phone were always polite and cared about our satisfaction. It hasn't rained yet, so I can't vouch for the job being done correctly, but it appears the job was done correctly, and it appears our basement will no longer get water in it.

Workers were on time - greeted houseowners - very courtesy - from all workers. I have off white carpet on my basement steps I was truly worried if it was going to be ruined by the time this job was completed. To MY SUPRISE the carpet was still in the same condition as if no one travelled those steps carrying buckets upon buckets of rocks, cement and other needed supplies to complete the job. I spoke with Mr. Roberts and he was VERY professional. I have NO COMPLAINTS this company is truly PROFESSIONALS after all the trouble I have had with previous contractors with varies jobs I have had done on my new home. Roberts Co. COMPLETED the job as promised without additional cost - in a timely manner - and kept open communication with the homeowners. I ABSOLUTELY would recommended them for anyones basement waterproofing needs. Keep up the GREAT JOB!

The service was okay. They were not late when they came out and were very nice. Their initial response was very fast. They were busy so they told me upfront that it would take them a month to do it and they did it. With the first repair man, he did it very fast but it did not work out and there were still leaks. So, I called them back and it was like summer vacation time so it took them longer and there was another delay but they said that they would do it. And then, they rescheduled it fast the second time but it took them almost around three or four weeks again to do it. They came and did it again the second time and the repair man thought that that was what they had to do and there were no other options to do it because he thought that that will be the end of the process because they do not see any other reason for it. After the repair, it worked fine and their response was very appropriate but then there was still some humidity. The repair man said that it is good to leave it for a time before we can see if it works or not and then I have not called them back. It was like I paid them a good amount for the repair man and at the end he said that it would be fine but it was still humid. So, I am ambivalent with the service because the process was very expensive and it was not resolved. So, I got another person that knows and we tried to figure out a different way and not just only putting what they referred that were the certain drains and whatever. They did it the way that they knew how to do it, however, the problem was not completely resolved at the end. And we had to open other spaces and tried to figure out why there was still humidity. They said, "Well, maybe it is coming from here." And we ended up doing a little bit of more projects on it again to try to resolve it. I decided to add a little bit on something. It was not arranged so I paid for an extra. It was more expensive than what I expected from other companies. I went with the deal because I thought that it was perfect and I wanted to get rid of the leak but it was around $7,000 for that. And I did not get a good result so I had to find somebody else because I did not see any other way to do it. I think that they did what they were supposed to but I was not completely happy that it was not resolved. What we figured out was that there was potentially a drain through one of the walls that was not attached to the french drain and we changed the walls in one side of the house with cements and everything so that there will be no water that can pass through and after that the humid was gone. Roberts Foundation did not go the extra mile to figure out what the problem really was but they gave me a warranty that the basement was waterproofed for the rest of my life. I would probably not use them again in the future.
Description of Work: I used the big deal that I purchased through Roberts Foundation And Crack Repair for putting french drain around the house with a sump pump at the end of one area and another french drain in the middle of the basement up to the sump pump.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. He wanted several thousand dollars to do the work. I didn't think he looked around enough to be able to say anything. He wrote a $2,000-3,000 estimate and hardly looked at anything. I was surprised and thought it would be more thorough. I wasn't real impressed with anything in particular. The price to come out was reasonable. He was fine but nothing special. Nothing made me want to have him come and do the work.

I bought this as a gift. His experience was good. He was pleased with the service. The guy came out on time, did what he needed to do and gave him the information that he needed. He used it within a few weeks.
Description of Work: They did a diagnostics on some foundation problem he was having.
Mr. Roberts arrived at our home at the agreed time and date he and his crew did all the work as indicated on the proposal. They cleaned up behind themselves and had all the work completed in the one day timeframe. They did an excellent job.
Description of Work: Installed a 5 1/2 feet epoxy ejection on a crack in the basement wall. Also dug up an old unground rain down spout drain and installed a new 10 feet underground rain drain. In addition there was an installation in front of the house of down spout and new down spouts on both side in the rear of the house. Installed rain drain underground tied in down spouts to 2 pop ups. The proposal also included repairing a rain drain at the rear patio door and the sealing of a crack at the base of the door.

It was OK but it turned out that I didn't need what they hat to offer. So I bought the big deal and all i got out of it was a guy walking through the house an saying what they could do but what I really needed was a structural engineer concrete worker. They came out a month after I purchased the deal and I paid the price for the big deal alone. They were polite, they answered questions, they were appropriate and they seemed honest. Overall I would give them a 'B'. All he did was talk with me I didn't get any work done.

The estimater was punctual and knowledgable. He reviewed the work to be performed and inspected the entire foundation wall finding an addition crack that required repair. There was confusion regarding the Angie's List coupon, we thought it covered repaires but the offer is only for waterproofing. The estimater did give a discount which appeased our need for some breach since we paid for the coupon. We received a call a couple days later to schedule, Michael performed the work and called before arrival to let us know when he would arrive. The work was completed to our satisfaction, the workers were unobtrusive, hardly knew they were on site. They completed the work in about 2hrs. The clean up was the best ever from contractors we have had on site. Highly recommend Roberts Foundation and Crack Repair. Will use agin if need arises.

I need to stop doing this. I essentially paid $50 to get an estimate! The gentleman showed up early for our appointment. Luckily workmen were here to let him in. He was just writing up the estimate when I arrived home. It was far more than I could commit to at the moment, so I didn't. I don't know if he'll honor the $300 discount if I do get the work done in the future. The estimator said yes, but I neglected to ask how far in the future.

On Aug. 7th, Mr. Brad Hooten came a few minutes early and he was very professional and knowledgeable in his approach. He provide a written bid with scope of work. I told him about no one answering the office phone or returning my vm for four business days and he acted very surprised indicating that they are a small business team and have people who are in the office specifically to answer the phone and respond to potential customers. I explained that I was very under impressed by the lack of response in my initial attempts to contact them. He indicated that he appreciated my information and this feedback would help them improve their business operation. I would give the company an F for their availability and responsiveness to my attempt to contact them, and in contrast I would give Mr. Hooten an A. I am not sure if I will use them.
Description of Work: Called the company on July 31 and Aug. 2 and left vm on both company phone # and cell # of Mike Roberts. Also, sent email to company website on Aug. 2. Did not receive a call back until Aug. 5th and no explanation for delay or apology given. Not sure how this company has an A rating. An appointment was set for Aug. 7th to have my basement inspected for leaks and potential repairs.

I used an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it was fine. I have no problem with them. The guy who came out was fabulous and seemed to know what he was talking about. The repair would have cost about $4,000. I would probably never do a deal like that again because I basically ended up getting an estimate which I could have gotten for free from a basement crack fixing company. I have nothing against the company; they were very professional and I had no problems. I decided this job would not be something I would do without getting other opinions. I think the estimate should have been free.

I had 4 different water proffing companys come to my house. Brad from Roberts was the second company. My husband was at work. Brad talked to me like I had a brain. He showed me on paper what would be done. He looked at my walls and told me I did not have any damage like walls pushing in. He gave me an estamate of how much it would cost. I called him back and ask if he could come back and explain some things to my husband. He came back. After talking to my husband we had decited to have Roberts do the work. My husband called Brad and he gave us a start date. The day for the work to start 3 truck came to my house. They were right on time. They came to my door and ask if they could back in my driveway. I told them yes it is big we use to have a tractor trailer. Chad took me into the basement and walked me throw what was going to be done. The first thing the workers did was put things on my floor and covered the opening in my kitchen so no dust would come into my house. They got right to work. I heard the the jack hammers. They worked all day and took 20 minutes for lunch. When they left the first night they came and told me. My husband and I went into the basement and the floor around the walls had been jack hammered rock placed in the hole, pipe placed on the rock then more rock on top of the pipe. My husband wanted to do some plumbing so he had them jack hammer the floor in our shower room. Oh Yes the other 3 companys told us WE would have to tear our shower room out so they could Jack Hammer the floor. Brad told us just take the toliet and sink out and leave the walls and shower!!!!! That saved us at least $1000.00!!! They tunneled under the walls and under our shower!!! They jack hammered the floor for my husband and he did his plumbimg. Today they came back right on time. The crew came in and said hi and went to work. They covered my floors and opening into my kitchen again. I thought it was going to take 3 days or more. They concreted around the floor over the rock and pipe. They concreted the bathroom floor where my husband did some plumbing and installed the sump pump. I really did not want a sump pump but did want a dry basement. They cleaned up and cleaned my floor. Mark came and got me. It was only 1:30. I thought he needed something. He said he wanted me to look. We went down stairs. Oh My Gosh!! It was done!! It looks like someone used a machine to smooth out the concrete. My floor was so clean. There was not rocks or concrete left on my floor. Mark poured a bucket of water in the sump pump to show me how it worked. I did not hear a motor running. This is going to be great!!! He showed me where he took the pipe out side where my husband wanted it. I told Mark my husband would take care of that but he said no that was his job and that is what he does. My husband is going to love that. He went over the warranty with me and I signed the papers. All of the workers were so nice. I never heard a bad word spoke and when they spoke to me they were all so nice. Roberts was not the cheapest waterproofing company but they saved me so much work and money by tunneling under my shower and walls that to me they were the cheapest!!! There work was unbelieveable. They were on time and what nice people work for Roberts. I will use them again if I ever have a need and will tell all of my family and friends to use them.
Description of Work: Brad came to my house. He went into my basement. He looked at my walls, Floor and shower room. He told me what has to be done and drew on paper what they would do and why. The workers came to my house put tarps on my floor, over my doorway and under the rock in my driveway. Jack hammered the floor , carryed rock and wet concrete donw stairs. Installed a sunp pump. Cleaned my basement and floors.

Although I pointed out the area where water was leaking into my basement ,it wasn't addressed. Instead, he proposed what I thought to be an over priced alternative(burying and redirecting 2 down sprouts for a little more than $1300. The way this deal was worded the $50 would count toward any work that was done. When I called the company the woman that I spoke to claimed that the $50 was for the estimate. Felt ad was misleading. It was advertised as "$50 for $300 of basement waterproofing bucks, free interior/exterior analysis and written report." I called and finally convinced the company that they didn't meet their obligation and demanded a refund. She tried to convince me that the $50 was for an estimate an interior and exterior analysis and written report which I didn't get.. Estimates are normally free. The employee finally took my name off of the inspected list which would allow me to request a refund from Angie's List.
Description of Work: Was scheduled to inspect and give estimate for waterproofing repair. But came out and wrote of estimate to redirect my down sprouts. Didn't provide written report. Left business card with what it would cost to work on down sprouts. Note: I'm not sure of the exact date.

The actual work performed was very good. Not excellent, but I will explain that in a moment. The good news is that my basement walls no longer leak, and the basement is nice and dry. The only problem with the work itself is that the sealer that was injected into the walls also leaked up into one of my basement window casing, leaving a large, hard, unsightly blob of sealant up against the window. Still, that is not why I gave them a D for professionalism. The D is the result of two things--arguing about and then basically bidding out the Angie's List coupon I bought for this work, and then giving me a hard time about other work I had already had performed on my house by another contractor. The Angie's List coupon was supposed to cover an inspection and several hundred dollars worth of basement waterproofing. They came and inspect and then explained that the coupon wasn't supposed to cover crack repair. (The coupon did NOT state this exclusion.) I argued that the cracks were the only problem with the waterproofing in my basement, and they finally conceded that I could use the coupon for crack repair... and then they promptly set the bid at several hundred dollars more than I'd been quoted on the phone. If it had not been for a math error that I caught, they would have charged me MORE for the crack repair than if I'd had the coupon to begin with. As for the second issue... I had recently had two block-glass windows installed in my basement. Upon seeing them, Roberts asked if I wanted to have all of the basement windows replaced with block glass. I said "no", and he proceeded to tell me that he would never have done such shoddy work. HE would do the other windows right. And he KEPT bringing it up. I repeated that I did not want any more block windows, and that didn't stop him. Finally, tired of hearing my house criticized, I walked away. Ironically, those block glass windows that were so shoddy are holding up perfectly, but I still had to clean up the extra sealant from Roberts work. So, though the work they performed was pretty good, and the price itself wasn't bad, I would not recommend them.

They were fabulous. They were right on target for my basement problem, I had called another company who the realtor had referred me to and they don’t work on old stone basements. So I called Roberts Foundation And Crack Repair and they did an amazing job on sealing a basement wall in my old house. They were efficient, they diagnosed the problem, and they took care of it. They put me in touch with an additional resource to come and check the foundation issue and they were really just wonderful. They were affordable and gave me options that were less expensive in terms of how much wall they would cover. We decided to cover from floor to ceiling, and they really we very, very professional and really wonderful to deal with.

I bought a coupon off of Angies List $50 off $300 and a gentleman came out to survey the situation. Turns out the coupon was not in line for what needed to be done. A little surprise for me but not knowing much about this sort of thing I was going off of his word. He was very nice though and gave me credit of $50 off the job which turned out to be $400 to complete. He seemed very sincere and I still believe him to be. Everything sounded like good to go. The day of the job 2 guys showed up about 15 min late without bothering to call me. The one guy seemed to not do much while the other guy did the work. He kept talking about how great the guy doing the work was at his job. I made a personal mistake of asking what the warranty was at the end of the work. They let me know there wasn't one since they didn't do any work on the outside. Would have been nice to know this before hand but I guess that's what I get for not asking. They left my basement a complete mess from whatever it was they were using to seal the wall up. Tracking the mess up the stairs from their shoes. When the guy asked for the money(the one standing around) he took a phone call in the middle of our interaction. Rude! Think he could have used that phone to let me know he was going to be 15 min late??? The first heavy rain it looked like everything might be OK. Since then, the water has been seeping through the wall again. Waist of money and time.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was good. I ended up paying additional other than the $99 that the Big Deal was for because they did a considerable upsell and I paid over $1,000. It was my first time to use them. Mr. Roberts is a real gentleman. I'll probably recommend them to others.
