Mission accomplished! We worked up the plan in May and agreed to wait till fall was upon us to avoid stressing the plantings with summer heat. The result is stunning. The look of the corner property has been transformed into a thing of beauty. The house looks brand new. Not only is the outside gorgeous, but inside is light and bright with really nice trees and shrubs visible from the living room and dining room. Boulders of different sizes and colors have been thoughtfully set among an interesting combination of trees and shrubs. Neat and symmetrical without being boring. The neighbors have all given it a thumbs up and lots of WOWs. Clearing 10 year old cedar trees out, removing 20 year old burning bush that were deeply rooted, was surely not easy but the entire job was done in less than 3 days. Not cheap but worth every penny - the value of my home has sky-rocketed. And it all started with Angie's $49 landscape review. Bob drew up some alternatives, did a patient walk through, gave me time to think about it, tolerated a bit of my resistance to change, and came up with a plan that looked great on paper and sounded perfect. The reality is so much better. Don't rush into a project but definitely let Bob have a look at your set up and talk to you about the possibilities.

Rescue Landscaping gave me a detailed written estimate the evening after our initial appointment. We had a few rain delays, but they always stayed in touch. The day of the landscaping work they showed up on time and ready to go. I came back at noon to see how it was going, they were very friendly and explained the entire process to my satisfaction and answered all of my questions. When I came home from work, the job was completed and I was thrilled with the results!!!! No more back yard mud and muddy dog prints on my floors! I plan on using Rescue Landscaping in the future to sod the remainder of the yard. They are fantastic.

The punctuality and communication were first rate, and the quality and price fully met our expectations as well.

I thought he was unprofessional. When he came, his work was unprofessional. He said he forgot about me and forgot to present us with a plan. It wasn't worth the money. The plans themselves were very amateurish and were not to scale. I couldn't even read the key. I wouldn't want anyone else to have to deal with him. He was making me doubt Angie's List.

Why spend $49 for a service that most companies provide for free! THANKS FOR NOTHING ANGIE!!

Bob was prompt in responding and came up with a nice design for a or back yard at a reasonable price. We did not have him do the work this year because we had some unexpected major expenses that took priority.

He is excellent. They are very professional. They are very responsive. They have excellent ideas. They are really easy to work with. My neighbors commented on how nice his crew was. He is a top notch individual. I will be also calling him annually for general maintenance, probably nothing major after the big work.

Bob the owner is a great guy to work with. He knows about landscaping. He is willing to jump on the next project. Although he does not mind regular lawn cutting customers, he shines when he does patios or landscaping. Will use again

Work was completed as communicated. Removed all tie rods, Cleared all overgrowth and debris. Added fill in dirt , Installed concrete block retaining wall, installed concrete stair case from upper yard to lower yard.

The weather was nasty and it was on a Friday afternoon. However, I felt it was unprofessional to cut the visit short because he had tickets to a concert that evening. He knew that when he scheduled the appointment or he could have called to change it. The suggestions given were geared much more to hardscape than landscape. He did not offer a variety of suggestions of plants to use in various areas. He could not identify or provide characteristics of existing landscaping. I felt he had very little knowledge of plants.

Bob was very professional and prompt. He listened to what we were trying to achieve with our landscaping, provided us with a plan and completed the project within a week of the original meeting. The end result was a true collaboration between Bob's vision and our needs. Beautiful job!

Bob and crew did an excellent job! We had a limited budget, so they were able to creatively construct a new patio for us while saving cost by reusing a lot of our pavers. They cleared out a significant brush overgrowth that had been there since we moved in, and we discovered parts of our back yard that we had never seen. They were friendly, professional, and efficient. Bob is a great guy to deal with--he's very friendly and very communicative. He kept us posted on what was going to happen when, worked around our schedule, We talked beforehand about materials options and divided our wish list into phases so that we could get the most for the money we had available. We are going to call Rescue again for more work as funds become available, and I whole-heartedly and without reservation recommend them to anyone who's looking to renovate their outdoor space.

I thought I would be getting professional landscape plans. All that happened is that I told him what I wanted, he wrote it on graph paper and gave me a high bid for doing the work.

They are good. They come every week and mow our lawn. They do a good job and are professional. No problems.

I have used Rescue Landscaping several times over the past few years to do landscaping projects, such as clearing planting areas, trimming bushes and providing mulch. I think I was one of Rescue Landscaping's earliest customers. I paid them promptly, favorably reviewed them, and also recommended the company to my friends. In the past it went all right, although the last time they cut down the one tree I specifically instructed them NOT to cut down. Six weeks ago I contacted Rescue Landscaping for bush trimming and mulching my front planting area. I was told their schedule was busy and it would be at least a month, but I said I could wait a month and to go ahead and do it. Yesterday I contacted Rescue Landscaping to ask when I could expect them, as six weeks had passed. The owner told me he was sorry, but his schedule had gotten busier (I thought I was supposed to be ON that schedule) and he couldn't provide the promised services at all. This is inexcusable. I could have been finding someone else to do the work, and now I'm in a hard place where I need to have this work done before I have new siding put on, but the service provider I had counted on has decided his other customers are more important. Do not count on this company. I never will use them again.

We have been very happy with Bob's professional, prompt, outstanding service for many years now. He has a great crew of people working with him. Every time they go above and beyond our expectations. When we discuss things to be done Bob has always been truthful about the time, materials, labor, and expected results. If he states they can do a project there has NEVER been a time they back out, rise costs, or not finish on time. Rescue Landscaping is an OUTSTANDING group to work with and their work is even better.

Rescue Landscaping was exceptionally responsive to an urgent requirements and performed the work perfectly and very professionally. I plan to use them in the future for all my landscaping needs.

They do a great job and they take everything away when they trim trees or rake leaves. It's a very nice young man in his 30's, it's his own business, and he's got a couple of crew now. They do a really good job. I plan to use them again this spring and I recommended them to probably 10 or 12 people already. Other people are already using them. It's a really well-run something.

I found Bob initially via referral from a friend who'd engaged Rescue and raved about them -- Bob lived up to the reco. It's his company, he's fully committed to it. He understands that his word means something and he and ALL of his people have to deliver on that -- and they do. We initially had him bring our yard / bushes, etc. back under control after we moved to a new home...the previous owner had a let a number of things grow a bit wild. I subsequently engaged his team to lay a bunch of stone work and mulch all of our flower beds, and clear some areas in the yard for a new shed and a playground. Finally, we had them come back in the fall to remove all the leaves on the property. Every time, Bob made sure to understand what we wanted to do -- quoted it -- and lived up to the estimate / scope of work. And we didn't need to be here to oversee it, which was great. Will be hiring him again in 2014 and onward.

They did a tacky job in our yard. We recommended them to our friends and they did the same in their yard too. The problem was that they didn't pin it down and they didn't put enough soil underneath it. We have sunken spots and it's raised up on the corners. We had them come back out and they said that we watered it too much, even the stuff in the front died that wasn't even Zoysia. We got tall grass that was all in there and it just filled our yard. We had to have a spray put on it and the same thing happened to our neighbors with it. It was just a mess. We thought it was a reasonable price, but it is all going to have to be redone. He was very professional and very nice. His crew seemed to be working hard, but they just didn't do it right.

I called Rescue landscaping early in the week ,Bob responded timel;y, completed job on Saturday. The job was not a huge job , but Bob was able to fit us in during the busy Landscape season. He completed the job with one other person. very professional and knowledgeable. The lawn is growing but it is a new lawn and will need some reseeding in the fall. Very happy with the services.

It has been a pleasure to see this young man grow his business over the last four years. His success is well-deserved. I was using a much bigger, more expensive company prior, but when Bob left a flyer on my mailbox four years ago and showed up with a lawn mower and a dream of combining lawn care with rescuing animals and much more reasonably priced services, I couldn't resist. And I have not been disappointed one single time (well, except the time I failed to water my new burning bushes enough during the great drought of 2011 and they died -- totally not his fault). This last spring cleanup, he even took $50 off the quote because he said my rose of sharon didn't need trimming. He and his workers show up when they say they will, do the work they said they'd do, and charge you for what is actually done. What more can you ask? I'd highly recommend this business.

Overall, I just would have to repeat my absolute satisfaction with the various lawn services I have received from Rescue Landscaping over the past year. It also pleases me that Bob Krull, owner, donates a portion of his company's profits to animal rescue organizations in the St. Louis area. As a lover of animals, it makes me feel great to know that some of the money I pay for my lawn care goes to such a worthy cause.
