Description of Work: They constructed a 283 square foot patio. The design was very detailed and they did a great job creating our vision. We signed a contract with them and after the job was completed they came back to us for more money. They said the job required more time and material than they anticipated - we held them to the original price and they honored the contract.

Description of Work: I have generally been very disappointed with landscaping companies in the area. We had a very large residential project and attempted to get bids and designs from about 10 companies. Only 2 got to the point where we had designs. The OTHER COMPANY did it on speculation and M&P charged us ~$1K for the design. It was totally worth the cost... it let us spec the design with other companies for bids and it was much more to our preferences. We still went with M&P and the first 2 of 4 phases went over budget, but they worked with us to keep phase 3 in budget. We're still waiting for the wallet to stop hurting before we start phase 4, but will certainly give M&P preferential consideration for that bid. | |They didn't give us a lot of hand-holding or reassurance during the process, which was unnerving, but the results are absolutely fantastic! We didn't really know what we were getting into, but the work is quality. | |I'm also glad to know their crew foremen are long-term employees.

Description of Work: M & J came out and inspected the area I was needing my tie wall replaced. Said they could do it without any problems. Took measurements and said they would get back to me with an estimate. Two weeks later they called and said they would not be able to do my job, as they had gotten 2 much bigger jobs that would take their crews until the weather turned to cold to work outside any more, to finish. Guess a senior home owner, such as myself, isn't important enough for them.

Description of Work: M&P serves us on a year-round basis with fertilizing, weed control, aereating, and mulching. They also did resodding work for us last year. The work was done well and timely. We continue to use them.

Description of Work: Tried contacting this company repeatedly (by web form and telephone) to get an estimate for spring mulching, but i never got a call back. Very frustrating.

Description of Work: I got a quote for the replacement of my front lawn. A very normal, subdivision front lawn. Probably two flats of sod and all the labor and materials to replace the mostly dead grass. The bid was very high, about double what others had quoted for the work. I don't know if this company did not want the job or if their margins were abnormally high. I did have two companies tell me my job was too small for them and that was the right thing to do. If they did not want the work they should have said so, rather than bid so high. Or did they take a chance that I would have been not too bright and paid the inflated price. I will never know and I was very disappointed.
