The technician was very kind and didn't make fun of me. The problems with the air conditioner occurred because I failed to change the filter for a very long time. It was incredibly dirty and had frozen; blocking the flow of air.

Fine showed up on time, did the work, polite and no mess. Reasonable price.

We had no heat. I called at 10 AM on a Tuesday and got an appointment for 2 PM from a courteous lady. A serviceman became available earlier. and was dispatched. He came and quickly diagnosed the problem. He had the part on his truck so he was able to replace it while here. He was efficient and professional. The whole service took less than 30 minutes. The service call charge of $82 seems quite reasonable, but the price of the part was $185. This seemed a lot for a small part that looked simple, so I used Google to see what they cost. I found parts with the same description and appearance for as low as $33 and as high as $54. Certainly I would expect a markup of maybe double the cost, but the $185 price I was charged left me with a sour taste. If cost were no object I would give them an A. Maybe this is the way all heating companies charge, but I think I will try others in future. ,

Everything was easy and efficient from scheduling the appointment to completing the installation, and the humidifier is doing a great job of regulating the set humidity level in our house. It was money well spent and I would recommend and use Kirkwood Heating & Air Conditioning again.

Went well. Bought one of the Angies list deals for this company. The worker diagnosed the problem and offered solutions. Would recommend to others.

Technician arrived on time, completed the work, then explained in detail what was done.

It was the batteries!! There was no need for them to come out and charge me for a visit! It was getting quite cold in my house and I was very relieved that there was no costly furnace problem and that it could be resolved so quickly and easily.

I have been very satisfied with the work. The people there are very knowledgable and very accomodating.

I had originally hired a different electrician to install a new Honeywell wireless router thermostat. That electrician failed. I called Kirkwood Heating and Cooling. They sent out Tyler who went right to work (in a very focused and knowledgeable way) and soon realized the particular wiring issue. It took him about 20 minutes to get my new thermostat installed. He stuck around to make sure it was functioning properly (unlike my previous electrician). Great work from Tyler. It was clear from the moment he arrived that he knew what he was doing.

His initial check was the freon, which read low.. He hooked up R22 and in 10 minutes the problem was fixed. The charge was $89 for a service call & $88 a lb for freon.. A little shocking, as i had this same issue in late May/ Early June and another provider on A List put in 4lbs @ $42.50 per lb and waived the service charge... After a little internet investigation, I love the google machine, (wish I would have used it before OR contacted the same vendor as last time) .. When you a sweaty captive audience --sometimes you must bend over and smile, not a mistake that i will make again soon & i hope you dont either.

We had a really good experience. We felt like they were very professional and we felt like they were fair.

Kirkwood Heating and Cooling installed a dryer vent through an exterior wall. I called the company to get a quote or the work. The They came out within 2 days. The price was good, so I scheduled the work which was done soon after. The person on the job was friendly and efficient. I was very pleased with the experience and would highly recommend this company.

Called for permission to come early (great). Very professional. It was apparent that he had lots of experience and worked efficiently.

Immediate call back when my A/C went out on a very hot day. Turns out my thermostat just needed new batteries. Provider talked me through it on the phone and I am cool again. Very pleasant person on the phone. I plan to schedule maintenance of the A/C system in the next couple of weeks with this provider - very satisfied.

The only reason we couldn't use this company is because they were booked for the week. And unfortunately, we needed the service this week.

We are happy with the service, it seems to have fixed the freon leak in our system.

We use Kirkwood Heating & A/C yearly to check on furnace and a/c. They're prompt and helpful, do only what's needed and provide information on how to lower bills, etc. We always use an Angie's List coupon, too.

I'm just filling this out so Angie's List stops sending me reminders to do this review. I canceled this deal for scheduling reasons of my own and did not have any experiences with the vendor. I am sure they are awesome. Please stop bugging me to review this now, Angie's List.

They came back and installed the new unit and everything works great now.

Everything was fine. The tech showed up and tested one of the AC units. The work was fine. The technician was fine. I thought the price was a little high but other than that everything else seemed fine.

Test went well and found the problem quickly in the A/C coil.

Before purchasing the Angie's List deal for a whole house humidifier I contacted Kirkwood Heating & AC to discuss if it was right for my house. I had a great conversation with the person who answered the phone (Kayla?) and decided it fit my needs. We went ahead and scheduled the service and then I purchased the Angie's List deal. I immediately received confirmation of my purchase from Kirkwood Heating. We scheduled the service for sometime between 10am-12pm. Right around 10:00 a.m. I received a call alerting me that the technician, Chris, was on his way. Chris arrived about 10 minutes later. He reviewed my furnace and due to the placement of my hot water heater advised me he would place the humidifier on the front of my furnace instead of the backside where they normally install it. That was fine with me as it wouldn't change the functionality of the equipment. Chris thoroughly explained his installation process and performed the work. After he installed the equipment he explained how it all worked , how to change settings and what to look for if the humidifier is set to high. He then took the time to explain the things I need to do when summer comes and we no longer need the furnace/humidifier on. I found Chris and the others I spoke with at Kirkwood Heating to be very professional, thorough and friendly. He quietly went about his work and did a great job. There were no additional charges for the installation or service. I am very pleased and will be contacting them when it gets a little warmer to do some yearly maintenance on my AC.

Couldn't have asked for faster service. Sent email through Angie's list at night and next morning I had a response and the next day the service tech was at my door at 8 am. Just after that the other company I had contacted the same way was replying to my email, so too late! It was a Friday. Monday I had a new unit installed. Because of that promptness I want to think I may have been overpriced, but I was warm just before a new arctic front came in! So won't complain. |I had some issues with communication with the service tech regarding type of unit to be placed, etc. but once I called to raise my concerns about it next say the supervisor was in my house and is taking very good care of my concerns. I feel he was much more honest than the service guy, but I will take some responsibility in having done this so fast and with little time x discussing options with them. I had asked a friend before I called and I know what was offered wasn't unreasonable, I.e "just to sell the most expensive service", they gave me 2 options and I decided to go with the more complete job. Overall, given how fast their response was, how punctual and the fact they did an excellent job and got my house warm within 2 business day of my initial contact, and most importantly the accountability they have shown after the job was completed my general feeling is being very happy and highly recommend them despite the few concerns I've expressed.
