Installers were prompt, courteous, and cleaned up after themselves.

The system has never been "down". The system design is thorough and complete. The monitoring center is responsive, courteous and capable. As new technology evolves, the team is prepared to offer and apply it...they stay at the leading edge. I highly recommend Erker Security.

My experience has been very positive. The installation charges are not the cheapest, but the quality of work is excellent, and the quarterly monitoring charge is very reasonable. I had one problem, which was resolved quickly. A faulty motion sensor was tripping the alarm when no one was in the house. They replaced the bad sensor, and added a second sensor to back it up at no extra charge. I've found over the years that the owner, Paul Erker, and his incredibly knowledgeable employee Larry, are very accessible when I have a question about how the system works.

Paul Erker responded very quickly to our request for an evaluation of a new alarm system and set up an appointment for installation within the week. The installation crew were punctual each day. There were many employees working at the same time to get the job expedited. Since then, any questions we have had are answered immediately and to our satisfaction. The price was reasonable and the possibility for reusing some existing wires was carefully evaluated. Everyone was so professional and considerate of all our family members while working in our home.

Paul and his team have built a solid security monitoring service. They designed an efficient, effective system for us using good technology. They trained us and connected us with a very responsive monitoring center. They also helped us expand the system to allow remote control and increase coverage. Fair pricing, fast response, great service...

When we want to add or change something with the system, they are usually here within 24 hours. They also do our monitoring. I find the company to be very accessible, reliable and responsive. I would highly recommend Erker Security!

Paul was very professional and responsive to our unique requests. The most important thing for me was that he spent the extra time educating us about our current system and making suggestions for improvement.

They came the next day after I called, replaced the transmitter, and checked the system's backup battery. They explained the charges for the trip cost, the labor, and materials. I paid an additional charge to replace the system's backup battery of approximately $50.00. I was extremely pleased with their service and the work performed..

The work took about two days and there were three installers the first day and two the following day. They were all professional and competent and any questions I asked were answered. They explained everything they did and made sure i understood the process. When they were finished, they again explained the system, made sure i understood and asked if i had any other questions. They made suggestions that were informative . Mr Erker called and emailed that evening to make sure we were satisfied.

Erker's crew was professional and clean. They installed the system in one day. They explained everything about the system. When I had an issue with one of the motion detectors, they had the service department immediately. Well done!

Erker Security is a perfectionist?s nightmare! Not because they failed to meet my irrationally high standards but because they did, leaving me with nothing to complain about; how frustrating is that! Check out these annoyances: 1. They arrived every time not at the end but at the beginning of the minute of the pre-announced time. 2. None of the three workmen rolled their eyes, grimaced or grumbled in the slightest or tried to talk me out of it when I told them that I was considering asking them to move an already installed ceiling sensor to another very difficult-to-access point that would have taken a great deal more additional time and effort - without an additional charge. One of them actually said ?We want you to be satisfied.? Whaat? Pinch me. 3. They cleaned up behind them without my asking for that. 4. Mr. Erker, the owner, personally met with me on two occasions to describe his company?s offerings. Not a subordinate salesperson but Mr. Big himself. Furthermore, he gave me his personal cell phone number to call him directly with any questions or complaints. With some 2000 clients, how crazy is that? Crazy as a fox because this tells me that the quality of his hardware and installation is such that he knows that after the initial few days of getting familiar with the system, I won?t be calling him any more, except for some very rare emergencies such as when Mossad agents breach the system and make off with my prize Corgi. 5. I got two other bids. One from ADT, the country?s largest provider of home and commercial security systems, the other a local highly-rated firm. After taking down some initial information about my circumstances, ADT sent me a technician hopping ready to install the system despite being largely uninformed about my circumstances (e.g. I indicated wanting a hard-wired not a wireless system but ADT rarely installs the former anymore) and about the specific prices for individual components of the system. (?I?m a technician, I don?t deal with the prices.? So he had to call and get those for me which ended up being more expensive than Erker?s. Strangely, he did not have the CEO?s personal cell phone number to give me.) Needless to emphasize, this experience dealing with a huge, impersonal national rather than a local company was predictable . Furthermore, ADT?s monthly monitoring fee was $39.95 with a three-year contract, a whopping $15/month more than Erker?s with a one year contract. The other company, Philibert Security, top-rated on Angie?s list, sent a very personable and professional salesperson (the daughter of the owner, I guess the next best thing) who gave me a price on the same specifications I had presented to Mr. Erker. On nearly every single item, their prices were variably higher and they also required a 3-year contract. The only difference favoring that company was that their monitoring fee is $19.95, $5 less; but with the savings from Erker?s hardware and installation charges, it would take over four years for that difference to even out. In sum, since the technology being marketed by various reputable home security firms is presumably identical - e.g. the smoke alarms and motion detectors either work or don?t and the people at the monitoring station are awake or not (I checked both) - I decided to buy a system based on differences in pricing and customer service whereby local firms are much more likely to offer a better deal in both respects. I?m hard put to imagine that another company could improve on Erker Security. No, I am not Mr. Erker?s son-in-law, although he was sufficiently kindly disposed toward me that he urged me to hit a personal friend for lunch after he received the usual $75 referral fee (ADT offers $50).

Excellent experience. Called for appointment for estimate. Mark came out promptly and on time. Very knowledgeable. Did not try and oversell features. Comparable price to other estimates. Appointment to install was made based on my convenience. Two installers showed up right on time. Up to four installers at various times. Installation took longer than expected because of an interior wall factor that could not have been anticipated until actual installation. Installers were very neat and knowledgeable. Accommodated my needs including doing some attic work on a very hot day to minimize my inconvenience. Installers worked around other contractors schedule too (house painter).

Very pleased with Erker Security. We just moved here and bought a house. Erker provided security for previous owners, so we gave them a call. Erker's owner spent as much time as I needed explaining the current security system in the house - most of it by memory, which impressed me. I had all kinds of questions, and he explained the pros and cons of every option and even brought up options I wouldn't have considered (most of them to give me an equitable level of security for less money). The day of installation, they came out and walked us through everything and explained how the system worked. They even began working while I was still dealing with another contractor and then waited to explain everything for my husband who was running a little late. Everyone we have delt with is the utmost professional, and I would whole-heartedly recommend them. I was so pleased with them that I didn't call any other companies to compare (very unusual for us). The price above is for the first quarter of monitoring and the addition of a motion sensor.

He was very prompt. He did a very professional job. When you call on the phone you get Paul. He has been very good. I had him install the alarm on my home ten years ago and it has had no problems.
