I contacted Erker Security Systems when the security company we had employed for 30 years was unable and unsuccessful in upgrading and modernizing their previously installed alarm system in our home. After 6 to 8 weeks of frustration with the old alarm company’s attempt to replace devices, and install the control panel and alarm system I was forced to contact another alarm company. Paul Erker, President, and Larry Colemire, Vice President, from Erker Security were attentive to my questions and desires for modernizing my equipment. Mr. Erker immediately responded to my phone call and Mr. Colemire came to my home that very day to assess the situation and status of the alarm system. Mr. Colemire was able to define the problems associated with the faulty and incomplete attempt to update my system and evaluated the condition of the devices and wiring of the old system. Subsequently a team of three very competent installers successfully wired the master panel, replaced defective devices, and programmed the computer to monitor our new alarm system in short order. While the previous alarm company was unable to use their earlier placed hard wired devices and substituted wireless devices in their stead, Erker’s installers were able to trace the previously placed wiring so that all the wireless devices were converted to the preferred hard wired status. The new, updated system has functioned flawlessly and has exceeded my expectations for modernizing and upgrading my home alarm. All the personnel involved in the company from the front desk to the top of the executive suite we’re kind, courteous, professional, knowledgeable, and were interested in ensuring the successful installation and functioning of the alarm system. Mr. Erker himself contacted me on several occasions to ensure I was satisfied with the work and functioning of the alarm. It isn’t every day that the President of a company takes a personal interest in the individual customer’s needs and desires. This company is truly one in a million. I recommend Erker Security Systems without hesitation to anyone interested in purchasing an alarm system for their home or business.

I was impressed that the President of the company called me to ask if I had questions when I requested a quote. He answered all my questions, gave me cell number and that of his General Manager, Larry. Larry arrived at the appointed time and walked through the house He then suggested what was the best security setup based on the physical layout and our discussion on my needs. Day of installation went smoothly. The installation technicians explained what to expect for installation, asked if I had questions and did not mind if I watched. They were communicative, thorough in the manner in which they did the work, and cleaned up (very neat). After explaining the operation of the system and making sure everything functioned, they left. I felt safe with them here, they were professional, and the installation went without a problem. This company is local, which was an important cosideration. Franchises and out-of-town operations are no necessarily, in my opinion, the best option for this application. Erker did not attempt to oversell products. The bid is very detailed and there is no question about what was agreed to and what the customer was to receive.

Paul came out, surveyed our system and, to his immense credit, recommended that we try to work with our current provider, since replacing the whole system would be rather expensive. Wow. Extremely professional. So for now I am trying to get the current provider up to snuff. If and when we move and need a new system, he has my business.

Excellently. Mr, Erker came to my home, toured, and asked for my wants and needs. Then he explained what was available and some options and said he would email me a plan with prices and options available. In an hour or two, I received the email and looked it over. I had two questions which were quickly answered. I then choose the plan and options that I wanted. The same evening in a couple of phone calls, we were able to arrange installers to start the work the next morning. The installers were great. The work took two full days to complete. The installers were very helpful and explained everything, had me test the system, etc. The debris was cleaned up perfectly.

Paul and his team are fantastic. Paul personally came out for a consultation and to tour my home. He worked with me to understand what I needed and didn't try to sell me more than I wanted. If anything, I was trying to press him to get more than he thought I needed. He was very honest about where he thought other products from other vendors might be superior to what he does (such as thermostat control and limited camera monitoring) (that being said his company does offer extensive camera monitoring and installation). His upfront installation price is probably more than ADT or Frontpoint, but his system was clearly superior and his customer service is impeccable. His monthly monitoring fees are quite a bit lower than the other bids I got. I know if I have any issues that he will personally answer the phone and help me out. His installation team was great- professional, very respectful of my home, and kept things very clean.

I can't recommend Paul and his team enough! Paul personally came to my home for a consultation and tour. He listened very carefully to my wife and I's needs, and the logistics of having a dog roaming the home a lot of the time we weren't there. He only tried to sell me what I needed and was very honest when he felt certain elements were unnecessary or if he though another vendor or product would be better or cheaper. His installation is probably more expensive than a larger company like ADT or Frontpoint (which I also got bids from) but his equipment is clearly superior and his customer service is impeccable. I know if I have an issue with my system, need something programmed differently, want to upgrade, etc, that Paul will personally answer the phone and be there for me. His monthly monitoring fees were significantly less expensive than the other bids I received. His installation team was fantastic- very professional and efficient, plus they were very respectful of my home and cleaned up very well. Definitely worth the added up front cost for the customer service, cheaper monthly fee and upgradability. Very happy with Erker!!

If there was an A+ rating I would give it! Erker Security did an EXCELLENT job! Through no fault of theirs they were brought in to our construction project later than they should have been and went WAY above and beyond to meet our project and timing needs. Paul Erker came out personally to understand the scope of our ongoing construction and contacted the U. City inspector to determine what exactly was required to comply with code. He revised the proposal a couple of times so that we could balance the requirements of code, safety and our budgetary constraints and maximize the value of our spend. When we had the details hammered out, Erker sent out 4 guys to get the installation done as quickly as possible and avoid delaying our overall project. Then when they couldn't start right away due to a miscommunication from another sub-contractor, Paul sent them to other jobs and had them back on site after lunch. Through all of it, Paul was gracious accommodating and in good humor. The work product was great and the willingness to jump in and get the job done was invaluable!

Erker is the best alarm company, I recommend them to everybody!! I used them in my old house and did not even consider a new company for my new home. They are responsive, full of knowledge and advice, and quick to install.

When our two twenty-something daughters moved into a new condo together, their security and safety was utmost in our minds. They started by doing an overall evaluation and making recommendations that were right on target for our goal of ultimate safety for our girls. The installation was made quickly and efficiently with the Erker staff working around our daughter's work schedules to provide them access to the building. The system they installed and the ongoing immediate monitoring provided both my husband and me with a sense of comfort and eased our minds tremendously. We changed our home security and fire alarm system to Erker's from another company (ADT) almost 9 years ago. We switched because the other company increased our rates (even though it was supposed to be a fixed cost contract for 3 years) and they almost never seemed to contact us when our alarm went off (almost always accidentally) and we had absolutely no confidence in their monitoring. Erker's installers came out as scheduled and installed their controller to replace the one from our original provider. In testing each sensor, they discovered that our prior company had never hooked up the smoke detector (that we paid a LOT extra for). We were impressed by their thoroughness and professionalism and have never had a moment of regret that we chose them for our home security system and monitoring. Their charges for monitoring are less than our prior provider and we have never had our alarm go off and not gotten a call from them within a minute to determine if we need help. We couldn't be happier with the quality of their service.

Everyone I have had any contact with has been courteous, professional, competent and prompt. I highly recommend this company. There was an initial fee for installation of equipment and wiring, but I no longer remember that cost. There is a total monthly fee of approx. $33, paid quarterly.

Paul and the entire crew were the most professional workers we have ever had in our home. From the estimate to the installation, to the billing process, we couldn't be happier. They worked to secure our home and took the time to learn about our family so we could have the most efficient set up (location of panels, etc...) I am thankful for their expertise and professionalism.

Everything went perfectly. Paul gave me a very reasonable estimate with some options that I could add on later. The technicians were on time, did their jobs quickly and efficiently. We've had no issues since the alarm system has been installed and are very pleased with the app for arming the alarm on our phones.

Activation and installation for additional security was fast and the technician was very helpful and knowledgeable. I called about an estimate and they returned my call immediately and set up an estimate appointment. They gave me a menu of options and tailored an estimate based on my options. There was no hard sell and they showed me a range of items to fit our budget. The installation crew were very professional, punctual, and knowledgeable. The crew cleaned up after themselves each day and worked diligently. They gave a complete tutorial on how to work the new system and made sure I knew how to work the system thoroughly before they lefty house. They completed the job exactly when they said they would and for the exact price agreed upon. I am very happy with their product, services and I'd absolutely recommend them to friends.

Having never had a security system before I did not know what to expect or how much security I needed. During our first meeting Paul Erker sat down with me and discussed my concerns and needs. Afterwards Paul and I did a walk through and discussed options in every part of the house. I wanted to feel secure but did not want to pay for security that was not needed. We went through each room very carefully taking into consideration the type of windows and doors leading into each. When the tour was completed I knew exactly what was needed and what was not needed and why. Within a few hours after Paul departed I had a final bid which was clear and easy to understand. Installation took one full day to complete including a lesson on how to use the system; no mess was left behind. I was able to use a $75 Angie's List coupon. It was a great experience and I have had no problems since installation.

Erker Security is a pleasure to work with. I have had experience with one other home security provider in St. Louis so I have a basis to compare. Erker is a locally owned and managed business. Paul Erker would most likely be the person you initially meet with to discuss your needs. He is a people person, a pleasure to talk to and work with. The installation and service appointments have all been completed in a timely, efficient and congenial manner. Because you are working with a business owner and not a commissioned sales-person, Paul will not try to sell you something you don't need. Because they are a smaller firm, I feel they know who I am and are better able to take care of my needs. I have complete confidence in their monitoring capability which is a top concern for any security system. I am familiar with the home security system options available in the St. Louis metropolitan area and I would recommend Erker without hesitation.

We found ERKER SECURITY SYSTEMS through Angie's List. Erker is an "old" St Louis Family with a great name and reputation in many family owned & operated businesses. The owner, Paul Erker, returned our call and message promptly, and we made an appointment sometime during the following couple of days. Paul was on time, prompt, very knowledgeable, and most importantly he LISTENED to our needs and explained the pro's and con's of many options without loosing sight of what we really needed. We purchased the system from Paul and I believe the system was installed within about a week. Paul's installation crew of 2 or 3 men were, once again, prompt, professional and courteous. The installation took most of one full day. We have nothing but praise for the "Small, Family Owned, Quality Conscious, Reputable" Company that Paul runs. We have no complaints and would highly recommend this company without reservation.

Erker Security has been in my new home a few times since we have moved here. They have recommended smart upgrades to the current system. I am very impressed with everything they have done. And I love their monitoring company. The people that answer the phone are helpful and courteous. I highly recommend this company!!
