Went extremely well. The professional installer took his time to make sure that everything was done properly and the unit was operating well. After a few days there was a humming noise, and JY Dunne came back, and replaced the blade, which has resolved the issue. The company has followed up with me several times since then to make sure everything is going well. Compared to other suppliers, they did not work to oversell my on what I needed, and with their 100% customer satisfaction guarantee, I would highly recommend doing business with them. Very professional, knowledgeable, and have integrity.

Dunn came out two days after I called for a bid and provided an estimate for a replacement AC unit for my house based on the tonnage needed. The salesman explained why that tonnage was appropriate (and why more or less would be inappropriate). He answered all my questions and had the lowest price for the service. The install happened a week later. Two technicians showed up at 9am and worked through a rainy day to get my AC running by 2pm! I was pleased with how they wore booties to keep the mud and muck out of my house. They, too, answered all my questions, and addressed my concerns as needed. The unit they installed was Ameristar, which I am told is an off-brand of Trane. Good but not superior unit--13 SEER; the minimum allowable in the state of Missouri. The advertisement had said up to 14.5 SEER, so I was hoping for a bit more efficient unit. For the budget category, however, I can't complain. All around a fantastic service for a good price.

We were beyond pleased with this company. Everything they did was top notch and professional. Our A/C began going out on a Friday afternoon, and they were able to get someone out to look at it the next morning, and then install a new until on Monday. We couldn't be happier with the whole experience, and we greatly appreciated how they went out of their way to take care of us even though it was a weekend. Also, the tech that did the install (Faruq) was professional, punctual, and very courteous. Highly recommend!

I purchased an Angie's list deal for a whole house humidifier & per JT Dunn's suggestion, I upgraded to a model that would humidify the square footage of my home.

I'm not sure if we would use them again. We have another air conditioner service that we've dealt with for years.

Called this company to install a whole home humidifier as part of an Angie's List deal. Told the call-taker that I had a Nest generation 2 thermostat and asked if they could make the humidifier and Nest work together and was assured that the technician would know what they were doing with the Nest. Service was supposed to be 2 hours. When the tech got to the house they took all day long and had no clue what to to with the Nest. I actually had to use my netbook to look up Nest support page to help the tech. The tech ended up having to call Nest support himself and still wasn't able to wire the system correctly. After the tech left the Nest randomly loses power to it's R wires. The system is not operating correctly. Company even charged me 100 dollars more than the original deal. After my initial review- the company did offer to make it right and absolutely did. My humidifier is now working and the fix was made at no additional cost to me. This company has showed the integrity to fix a problem caused by one of their own. I have modified my review accordingly. Thank you Dunn Heating and Air Conditioning.

The installation were done professionally and smoothly. It looks everything is working during the test. We have not really run the air condition or the heating due to the mild weather. They have 1 year unlimited visit if anything goes wrong. The 2 workers are very professional and friendly. They cleaned everything after the installation and showed me how to operate the system. They also took care of the rebate, so we only need to pay the amount as if we already got the rebate. Big help! I found out that our water heater was not working after they left (might due to shutting off the gas during the installation). I called them and they send out a worker and light on the pilot. Everything works perfect now. Overall, it is a good experience and I would use them again.

From first contact, JT Dunn was very professional and helpful. They fixed a problem with my old furnace and I knew there was a strong likelihood that it needed to be replaced. They got the furnace working and credited my account when I bought the new HVAC system. My contact with the salesman was very good. He was professional and helpful - either answering my questions of making sure he found out accurate answers. The price of the overall project was comparable or a bit less than other estimates I received for similar products. The system was installed yesterday by two very helpful and accommodating installers I appreciate that they are coming back to ensure that everything is working well

Pros: Very professional service from both sales and installation team. Very accommodating on scheduling. Came to the house on a Sunday night to finalize paperwork and installed within a week of signing contract. Install team took time to explain systems. Filled paperwork for rebates, permits, and inspections. Price was exactly what was quoted. Cons: Price. I received other estimates that were cheaper than JT Dunn. I conducted all research and purchased six months ago. Looking back on the process these are the thoughts I have. JT Dunn was one of five companies I reached out to for a quote to replace my furnace / AC system in my home. Their sales representative came out and inspected my system and provided multiple options for replacement. Different options included the most energy efficient setups, the lowest cost to install, etc. What impressed me with their sales representative was that he pointed out how long it would take to make up savings on each system. Rather than trying to sell the highest efficiency system, he pointed out the return on investment and that the break even on a high-efficiency system (in my home) could be over 20+ years. I ended up having a Trane furnace / AC system installed. The sales team visited my house on the weekend to sign paperwork as that fit my schedule. They made sure they could install the system the same week as cold weather was approaching and we wanted to have heating. The two-man install team was very professional, answered any questions I had, and took great care not damaging carpet, furniture, etc. Before leaving they assisted in programing the thermostat. While the cost was not the lowest estimate I received I would still go with JT Dunn if I had to do it again. They were extremely professional and the Trane system and service were well worth any difference in price.

We called them because of a $1499 Big Deal. Our furnace was 19 yrs. old and still working, but after the brutal winter we had we didn't want to take a chance on it breaking down unexpectedly. We spoke to the owner and found out our house didn't qualify for the Big Deal. We felt comfortable with the advice they provided and the furnace we selected although we spent more than we anticipated. Installation went without a hitch and cleanup was impeccable. Strangely enough, we had unusually cool weather that evening. It was May 1 and the temps dropped into the 40s. So we used the furnace right away. They also gave us thorough maintenance advice. A couple of month's later, my mother's a/c went out. She was out of town so we took care of it. We called Dunn first and got an estimate. But this time, at my mother's insistence, we got a second estimate. We did go with the other company that time because of price and some of the parts Dunn recommended turned out to be unnecessary. For that reason, I will downgrade their score to a B. Overall, we are comfortable with the service and performance of the furnace we purchased from Dunn. They do seem to know their business. But I would not choose them again without getting other estimates and doing a little more homework. That's probably good advice for any major HVAC installation.

They were fine. They were great. They were just very reasonable about the whole thing. They showed up on time. They basically did what I needed them to do. It was a typical service call. It was what I hoped from a company and I wasn’t blown away. I didn’t have any problems. Their price was what I expected.

It went well. The worker did everything professionally and was pretty quick to finish. The only thing is that I expected the tune up would include replace an air filter provided by the service company. Instead, he used mine. But, overall, it is a good experience.

It turned out great! They were great. They were prompt, clean, friendly and everything's been working great. They were prompt in response. They were easy to work with, on time, and called. I appreciated their service and their quickness in responding, so I would use them again.

Easy to purchase deal. Quick response from provider and scheduling was easy. Technician was punctual, friendly and professional. Installation was done cleanly and with high quality parts / skills. The water line tie in was done properly (no plastic or piercing tap type connections). Our furnace is less than 2 years old, so not much of a tune up was needed, but he went ahead and took everything apart, cleaned ignitor, drain and hose, checked filter, confirmed heat flow, and performed CO checks. The humidifier is working nicely and our house is quite cozy - no more static shocks and it feels much warmer at our usual 68 degrees.

He called me surprisingly because I gave him a bad report because the humidifier was not working correctly and he called me and apologized and he was nice. He came and took care of my problem. He did not charge me a penny.

It was a great overall experience. He was a little late showing up for the initial inspection but called to let us know & it wasn't a big deal. He didn't try to sell me on any other products as he easily could have done so. Also gave helpful info on other systems that we already had. They showed up on time for the installation & were professional & courteous. They were in & out in a few hours & didn't leave any kind of mess. I would definitely recommend JT Dunn to anyone looking for a furnace or other HVAC needs.

We had check up of the furnace and a new humidifier installed. Normally I have a company that I work with for my HVAC needs, but decided to look on Angie's List for a deal. I could not be more pleased. The company responded quickly, I had a service man out to my house within the week AND. . . a Thank you card sent within days of my service, thanking me for my business. I was very impressed. I was so pleased, that I asked them to give me a bid for another job. I will for sure be using J T Dunn in the future.

The provider was very responsive to my initial contact and set up an appointment for service promptly. On the day of the appointment, I received a call prior to the time of the appointment from the company apologizing and telling me that the person scheduled to do my estimate was unexpectedly ill, yet letting me know they would send someone else and we set a later appointment time. The representative, Bret, showed up on time for the rescheduled time, and was very professional and friendly. It turns out that Bret is the owner of the company, and he had taken time out of his busy schedule to do my estimate because his regular salesman was ill. Bret was very knowledgeable and did a very thorough job of evaluating and measuring my home and current system. He even took off his shoes at my front door because it was raining and he didnt want to bring any rain or dirt into my home. He took quite a bit of time (about an hour and a half) to do the measurements and answer all of my questions about the various products, sizes of systems, rebates, and helping me compare a high efficiency system to a "regular" system. All of the information was provided on a professional, well organized chart that broke down my estimates and helped me easily compare my options. The information and knowledge I received from Bret actually helped me and made me more prepared to also discuss my options with the other companies who also came to do estimates. I got estimate from three companies, and Bret was the most thorough and took the most time to go over everything. They offered me a discount for paying up front in cash, yet also offered financing options. I'd had another estimate from another company that was willing to give me a free thermostat with Wi-Fi, so in order to gain my business, Bret offered to match that offer. His professional and knowledgeable manner put me at ease and made me feel good about my decision, which was important to me as a single woman. My current A/C unit was not working at all due to being empty of freon, and Bret offered to try to fill it for me to at least get me through the heat of the next few days weeks until I'd made my decision. We agreed on a price that I thought was extremely reasonable, and Bret told me that if I had any additional questions, I could contact him directly. On the day of the installation a large truck with three men showed up right on time. All of the installers were also very professional and friendly. My large dog was in the house, and they were very kind to her and did not act bothered with her sniffing and being around while they worked. My installation turned out to be quite extensive, and they had to make some custom duct work on the job to fit my new unit to my existing ductwork, they had to replace some of the piping to my A/C unit (the previous owners had encased by old pipes in concrete for some reason, and I was uncomfortable using these old pipes), and they also did a new electrical line to my new A/C unit. It took three men a full 12 hour day (8am-8pm) and Bret, the owner, came back both at the very beginning of the job to check on things, and he also came back for the last 2 hour of the job to help. He did a final walk through with me once the installation was done to inspect the work and answer my questions. He was again very kind and helpful, and my basement was cleaner when they left than when they arrived. I waited until now (about 5 months) to write my review, and have had no issues and am very pleased with the system and the quality of the work. I ended up not going with the high efficiency system due to the extra cost, yet I have still saved on my utility bill by simply upgrading to a newer system from my old, outdated system. I would highly recommend this company, their products, and their work to anyone, and I would use them again if needed.

We had an issue with our air conditioner and called a local company for service. While that company was here, we also asked them to inspect our furnace. The tech that came out told us that both the AC and the furnace were beyond repair and needed replacement. This was not an expenditure that we had anticipated and after receiving a quote for almost $7500 we decided to get some other quotes. We set up appointments with several companies including JT Dunn. Dan Brokaw came to our home and was extremely informative and helpful. He offered advice on the products that would work best in our situation and financing options that were available. He offered a Trane system that not only was more efficient than the system we had been quoted earlier but was much better rated and he did it at a price that was almost 1/2 of the earlier quote! The installers were here on time and very professional. JT Dunn made an unexpected situation painless. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone who finds themselves in a similar situation.

The salesman, Scott Gissing was professional and informative. We liked that he recognized our house was well insulated and has good, energy efficient windows. With that situation adding more energy efficiency becomes a matter of diminishing returns. We liked that he recognized that and incorporated it into his proposals. He kept us advised as to when to expect the installers, followed up after the installation and remained a contact throughout for various items. I just emailed him today (Oct. 22, 2014) to advise him we had not received the rebate from Ameren. I wanted them to install a particular humidifier made by Aprilaire. They wanted to provide another brand they usually use which they said was equal. We ended up negotiating that issue until a day before the installation was to take place. I ended up talking with the owner before they agreed. The installers, Chad and Bryan, arrived the day they were expected at about 9 AM. Throughout the day they respected our property using booties on their shoes and laying drop cloths on the floor and stairs. In removing the old equipment and in bringing in the new equipment they were careful not to scrape up the walls. I think they hit once or twice. Given the size of the equipment they were carrying and a narrow, tricky turn on the stairs they had to negotiate they did a fine job. I consider them knowledgeable professionals. They were courteous and informative throughout, answering questions thoroughly. They worked all day and didn't finish until almost 8 PM. But everything was done. They did not have to come back. Everything was clean when they left and they left us some extra filters for the future. Very nice. We had no idea it was going to take so long. My wife and I both wished we had known that in advance. We could have planned for it. *October 30, 2014: The rebate check from Ameren arrived. The system has been running a little less than two months. The weather has been mild. We even ran the air conditioner some. So there has been no challenge it has had to overcome. It is quieter. The loudest thing we hear is the water flowing through the small pipe to the humidifier. The test won't come until summer. Then we will see if it keeps the second floor any cooler than the previous system did.
