Description of Work: They gave us choices for proceeding, explained the advantages and disadvantages of each, and they did what we asked them to do - on time and for what they asked us to pay. We were very satisfied. We would recommend them to our friends and we would use them again.

Description of Work: Custom has redone an older family treasure platform rocker and, more recently, a sofa recover. Both went very well, above expectations. Maybe not museum quality (I wouldn't know), but we are very satisfied.

Description of Work: I've used Custom Furniture several times--to repair and refinish an antique bed, repair an antique chair and, most recently, sand down and refinish my solid oak front door. Their work is always impeccable; they are so punctual you could set your clock by them; and they are very professional. In short, they never fail to exceed my expectations.

Description of Work: Custom Furniture Works stripped, refinished and reglued six solid wood chairs along with repairing a wicker rocker. They did an excellent job. While it cost a lot, it was worth it. Newer chairs, which would have been much cheaper, aren't made as well and would require regluing in a short amount of time. This was a better option to have chairs that look worth a lot and will hold up for a long time.

Description of Work: Met us at our storage unit when they said they would. Viewed our 7 foot armoire, making arrangements to return to pick it up. Returned when they said they would. Removed the crown and made it removable so it would fit on our elevator. Refinished the piece beautifully so it perfectly matches our bookcases. Delivered it when they said they would and at the price they said they would. They were professional and were able to maneuver a large/bulky piece up steps through narrowed hallways with low ceilings.

Description of Work: Recovered an 80+ year old recliner. The chair had been redone in green marine vinyl in the mid 1960s. Custom Furniture Works recovered the chair with upholstery fabric we chose from their extensive selection. Work took twelve weeks as promised. Custom Furniture Works picked up and dropped off the chair.

Description of Work: I hired them to refinish and repair Mahogany furniture that another furniture repair company destroyed. They repaired scratches and chips, repaired leather, removed paint from brass & wood, refinished mahogany, and completely restored.
