Description of Work: We needed to replace our tub with a walk-in shower. Bath Fitters came to the house and worked with me to come up with the perfect plan for our bathroom. We scheduled the work and they were right on time, did a great job and cleaned up when they were done. I really appreciate that Bath Fitters doesn't just do a simple overlay - they got into the walls to check everything out and then put in the new plumbing and build the shower. We just love it!!

Description of Work: They did a very nice job...tub looks great...I thought it was a bit pricey, but wasn't familiar with what these things cost...I had checked out new tub prices before deciding to go this route, but now feel I could have purchased a tub and had it installed for about the same costs...overall I am happy with my decision to go with Bath Fitters. Was very fast and efficient...

Description of Work: We went in this direction because it was hard to find someone to tile two bathrooms. They were in and out in 1 day. Salesman was informative, but had a outdated sample, which happen to be the one I picked. The color was just too dark. The salesman said they would change it, no problem. |We went to their location to pick out a color to replace the dark one and the office manager was not as agreeable. Told us it would have to be approved by the factory or home office. Said it would be easier to change the soap dish which was the right color. The General Manager heard the conversation and immediately stepped in and said they would replace everything, no problem. The installer was very professional and that was a good experience. Overall except for one person, it was a good experience.

Description of Work: Tom arrived on time for our appointment on Jan 14, 2012, he was very friendly and knowledgeable. Took all measurements, had samples available to show thickness and colors. Explained the procedure in detail including the maintenance and warranty..... Life time and transferable once! We put a $300.00 deposit down and signed the papers. Tom was able to also schedule the date for the install. On January 24, 2012 our installer arrived with the liner. He was very professional and did such an excellant job. The tub looked better than the original when it was new! Every seam was smooth and perfect.... He even pokished the fixtures and tightened the loose hardware.... Our installer said to call anytime if there is settlement and a seam needs re-sealed, he lives in our region and he will come by to reseal it. We are very happy with the results and would recommend Bath Fitters to anyone who wants or needs a permenant bathroom update=) Wish I could remember our installers name...... he was so personable and professional. He arrived at approximately 2:30 pm and was done around 4:30 pm. Everything was clean and neat before he left.

 + -1 moreThe first installer did a great job. The plumber mounted the fixtures and a shower door sticking out 1 and 1/4th too far. The shower installer was slow. He also painted the aluminum frames a wrong color. He left sharp edges and loose screws. Further repairs are scheduled with them.
Description of Work: Bath Fitter installed a new tub liner, walls, and tub and shower fixtures in one bathroom. In another bathroom they replaced the shower basin, new walls and fixtures.

 + 0 moreIt was a long day and the original installer scratched the surface, requiring visits from supervisors, but after a third visit and buffing, everything is beautiful. The company knows customer service and wanted to help solve the problem. If the buffing had not taken care of the scratches, they would have replaced the liner. But the buffing worked. The guys doing the repairs were wonderful and the supervisors were great.
Description of Work: Put liner around old shower and put trim around outside of shower, plus added shelf unit and new shower head and grab bars inside shower.

When there was a problem with the initial crew that they sent out, I reported that immediately and the manager came out here directly within ten minutes. They took care of the problem and did terrific job. They are a good company. I think they were a little pricey, but, it was well worth it.
Description of Work: We used them to do some work on pre formed vinyl bathtubs and surround walls.

 + -1 moreThe estimater was on time, made careful measurements of the area, and gave a $500 discount on the cost since we had previously used Bath Fitter for another job. The installer was on time and completed the job in less than a day, as advertised. A few months later, we discovered that the shower was leaking at the drain, damaging the basement ceiling below. When I called about the problem, someone came out the next day to repair the drain area and was told someone else would come out to repair the ceiling. The ceiling repair man has been out once, saying it will take 2 more very short visits to complete the job. He seems to be doing a thorough job.
Description of Work: Installed a new shower and wall system over the old one.

 + -1 moreSales rep arrived a bit early and we discussed everything needed to cover walls, ceiling and tub. My bathroom is very small. I found the amount quoted for a huge plastic liner to be ridiculous. The sales rep also took pictures in my bathroom. The taking of photographs was never discussed with me beforehand. When I balked at the price, the rep became a bit snippy telling me it all comes down to quality. In my mind, plastic is plastic.

 + -1 moreThe installer started at 10 in the morning and finished at 6:00. He brought an incorrect liner, that he said he did not like the fit. He returned to his company and brought another liner to the house. It took quite awhile to finish the whole job, but it was done extremely well. Overall, a very good experience.

 + -1 moreSALES REP BRETT, WAS AGGRESSIVE. I SIGNED FOR THE LINER, CEILING, WINDOW TRIM, CORNER SHELF, BRASS TRIM TOWEL BAR AND OVER SIZED SOAP DISH. I CALLED TO CANCEL THE CORNER SHELF. ON INSTALLATION DAY, THEY HAD THE WRONG SOAP DISH, NO TOWEL BAR AND IN ITS PLACE A GRAB BAR AND THE CORNER SHELF. IT TOOK MOST OF THE DAY TO COMPLETE THE TASK. I REFUSED TO PAY THE BALANCE SINCE THERE WAS NO ADJUSTMENT FOR THE SHELF AND I DID NOT HAVE A TOWEL BAR. ALSO, THE SIDES ON THE FRONT OF THE TUB WERE NOT CUT THE SAME. IT TOOK THEM OVER 1 MONTH TO MAKE THE CORRECTION! THE LINER WAS ALSO BREAKING AWAY AND SOME AREAS WERE NOT EVEN CAULKED. BOTH THE TOWEL BAR AND SOAP DISH HAD BEEN DISCONTINUED, BUT NO ONE TOLD THE SALES REP. ON RE-INSTALLATION DAY IT WAS RAINING AND THE TECHS PROCEEDED TO ENTER THE FRONT DOOR WITH REALLY MUDDY SHOES. I HAD TO STOP THEM AND REQUEST THEY WIPE THEIR SHOES. THE ENTIRE LINER HAD TO BE REPLACED. NOW THE CAULK IS BEGINNING TO DISCOLOR.
Description of Work: FURNISHED AND INSTALLED BATHTUB LINER ON 3 WALLS AND FRONT, CEILING AND WINDOW TRIM AND HAD TO TRIM AROUND LIGHT OVER BATHTUB.
