Description of Work: Dryer wasn't working. A-M Appliance sent out a gentleman within 2 days. Because our dryer was stacked, he said two men would be needed for the job to take the dryer off. Appointment was scheduled for few days later. | |Am not quite sure that two men were really needed to replace the belt on my dryer as the dryer never had to be taken down from above the washer. Unfortunately we did have to pay for the 2nd young man...Our dryer is running well now.

Description of Work: The best review I'll ever write for a business I have yet to use! Stove wouldn't heat up; neighbor recommended these guys. Trades voicemails; guy calls back to say that it sounds like a part we could swap out ourselves for much cheaper their service, taking thru repair for no charge. Rest assured, when we needs repair, coming back. Awesome!!!

I've had a positive experience each time. When the work was done on the dishwasher and freezer, parts needed to be ordered both times. They communicated with us and were able to get out quickly to get the job done.

Description of Work: Our 6 year old Whirlpool Cabrio clothes washer has been having issues for many months. It was bought from Slyman Brothers of Ballwin. I called them for an appliance repair recommendation and they steered me to Affton Mehlville. I was told a repair person would be at my house on a specific day and time and he was. He knew exactly what the problem was, from my description, and had the correct part with him. About an hour after arriving he was done. So far the washer works as good as new.

+ -1 moreHe was on time (called when on the way) clean and courtious while he was here. He did not try to sell me anything because the refrgerator was not worth it. It was worth $40.00 to know not to waste my money on it.
Description of Work: I had a problem with my refregerator and had Afton come out and look at it . The tech showed me what was wrong with it ( the compresser was going bad) and it was just a matter of time before it went out.

+ -1 moreAfter being away from home for almost a month, I found my dryer did not work. I called Affton-Mehlville Appliance Service, because their sticker was on the Whirlpool Gas dryer from years ago. The service technician came to check it out and initially thought it was the motor.However when he took the dryer apart, he found that a squirrel had gotten in through the vent and chewed up the blower. He ordered a blower and repaired the dryer. Because my old Maytag washer had calcium build-up on the valve, I asked him to also repair the washer.I feel I got a bargain to get repairs for $210.00 for two appliances that work as good as new. Many companies, especially plumbers seem to charge a lot just to give an estimate. To find service such as Affton-Mehlville Appliance Service is a pleasant surprise.
