Advance Carpet One

They’re great and we’ve used them several times. They are always pleasant to deal with and they do a great job with installation. We go to them first. I like them because they are a family operation that has been around a long time. They guy that usually sells us the carpet is just a character but he knows his business inside and out. The store is small but they have a great selection. They always do what they say they are going to do, they clean up after themselves, and there are never any problems. I think the price is very reasonable and they are probably the only people we'll use for carpet.

The job went pretty well. We got what we wanted start to finish. They showed up on time and took a little bit longer than anticipated. We had to have them come back to fix a few things and they did that.

It was pleasant overall. They were pretty helpful and more than willing to negotiate on the price. They were clean and orderly. They came when expected and got the job done in a day.

Overall very well, particularly because we had a problem. The first batch of carpet they installed had a dye lot problem. Susan responded immediately, sending a manufacturer rep out to examine the carpet, and arrange replacement, which was done as soon as the new carpet came in from the manufacturer. No one walked away from the problem, we were assured all along that it would be replaced, and it was. We love the carpet. Problems can always occur, its the service you receive when they do occur that makes the difference. On this basis I have used Advance Carpet One to install a hardwood floor.

overall the experience was great. Lee was very helpful with product selection, and went the extra mile to get more flooring when we learned we needed another box. The installers were terrific. gary and lance arrived on time, are very professional, and do great work. exact, clean, well done work, and i am picky. the end result in beautiful,we love our new flooring

Installation went well. Installers called that morning to give arrival time. They arrived on time, were respectful of my home & furnishings, neat, clean, and careful. Work was completed in about 2 3/4 hours. Furniture was back in place according to my requests. New carpet was vacuumed and entry broom swept. Installers tried to please, worked efficiently. I would not use this company again because I feel the carpet is over priced and advertising specials are not true sale prices. Bundling the carpet & installation pricing does not give you real cost for your money.

The job went fine, it was not without issues. When we came in, the person who gave us the estimate told us that the kitchen floor would not have to be removed, that we would put the tile over it. When the layers came in the first day, he said "oh, this has got to come up." They said that they would give us a break on the cost to do that. They said that they would only charge us what it was costing them to get the floor taken up and we didn't have a problem with that. When the tile came in, the tile was not all the same size. Some of the tile were an eighth of an inch larger than the other ones. The layers said that this was not going to work out, there will be places where your grout will be wide and others where it will be really narrow. So the company that made the tile would not replace it, so what we had to do was select a different tile. So we selected the same tile, but in a different size. So, because of our trouble, instead of laying it like it was suppose to be laid, they laid it on the diagonal, which is an extra $1 per square foot, so that was a considerable savings. Although it didn't go totally smoothly, we were fine with all the issues that we did have. It was actually 11 days that it took them to install it, and the installers were absolutely magnificent. We thought that they did an absolutely fabulous job. I gave them a B for price because they're more expensive but they're probably worth it in the long run. If I could give an A+ on quality, I would give an A+. As far as punctuality, they were here whenever they said they were going to be here. Susan was our sales person at the store, we used the store, we used the store on Manchester road.

For the bedroom, we were very pleased with the product and the installing; however, in the kitchen, the product sold to us is not appropriate for this space. The company representative worked hard to accommodate us and maybe should have offered other products. He was professional in his following up to help us.

I was very pleased with the professionalism of Carpet One. They came out and measured the areas and then showed us some samples. They helped us make the best choice for our bathrooms and were very knowledgeable and helpful. The installation of the tile went well, also.

The crew that showed up to install my tile was great. They arrived early and went straight to work. They even finished the project earlier than expected. I noticed that they were friendly and sociable, but they kept working at the same time. I am very pleased with my new floor.

I was very pleased with service I received. Gerry was a bit hard to contact at times, but it turned out she was having family emergencies at the time. The installers were friendly and professional, and worked hard to do a good job. I think the price was higher than some other places, but it included carpet removal and other services that I found were extra with other services, and I would have needed to contract them separately. I thought they did a good job.

Very good. Second experience with this company and I specifically asked for one crew led by Marvin or Martin. Outstanding work. Both times the lead crewman found that he could lay the carpeting with fewer and less visible seams than what was designed by the designer. Outstanding care to our house and possessions. They even replaced the carpet on a shelf for our cats without asking me!

FAST, FAST, FAST! This company is the best. They ripped up existing carpeting and installed new for 4 bedrooms, stairway and landing. A large crew of 5 men came at 9 am and they were completely finished at 1 pm. Very neat clean up! Very impressed.

SALES STAFF WAS VERY HELPFUL, FRIENDLY, AND PATIENT AS I PICKED OUT CARPET IN THE STORE. THEY SHOWED ME MANY CHOICES, AND WERE QUITE KNOWLEDGEABLE IN THE MATERIALS USED TO MAKE UP THE CARPET, AND WHAT THAT MEANT IN TERMS OF DURABILITY, AND QUALITY, AND PRICE. THEY EVEN FOLLOWED ME HOME WITH SAMPLES TO CHECK FOR BEST COLOR MATCH BEFORE CONFIRMING ORDER. THE PERSON THEY SENT OUT TO DO THE OFFICIAL MEASURING DID AN ACCURATE JOB, AND WAS IN AND, OUT IN NO TIME. ON THE DAY OF INSTALLATION, THE INSTALLERS WERE ON TIME, POLITE, AND VERY EFFICIENT. IT ONLY TOOK 1/2 A DAY TO MOVE FURNITURE, RIP UP OLD CARPET, AND INSTALL NEW IN TWO LARGE ROOMS. AFTER JOB WAS DONE THE SALES STAFF MADE SURE TO FOLLOW UP, AND SEE THAT I WAS A SATISFIED CUSTOMER. I REALLY FELT THAT MY HAPPINESS, AND SATISFACTION WERE ALWAYS THEIR PRIMARY CONCERN THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE PROCESS.

INSTALLATION DID NOT OCCUR AT SCHEDULED TIME DUE TO MIXUP AT COMPANY, WAS RESCHEDULED AND WORK COMPLETED THE SECOND TIME AROUND. INSTALLATION LOOKED FINE.

THE WORK WAS WELL DONE. GETTING UP THE CARPET PAD WAS VERY MESSY, BUT THE MEN CLEANED UP ALL THE MESS. WHEN THE SALESMAN GAVE US THE ESTIMATE WE SHOWED HIM HOW STUCK THE CARPET PAD WAS, BUT WE WERE CHARGED EXTRA FOR IT "BEING WORSE THAN EXPECTED." WE FELT THIS WAS UNFAIR.

THEY DID A VERY GOOD JOB AND CLEANED THINGS UP. THE FLOOR LOOKS BEAUTIFUL. IF I HAD BEEN TOLD HOW MUCH "DUST" TAKING UP THE OLD FLOOR WOULD CREATE, I WOULD HAVE CLEARED ALL THE COUNTERS. EVERYTHING ON THEM WAS DIRTY AND HAD TO BE CLEANED AFTER THE CREW LEFT.

CONTACT WAS BILL COOK WHO TOOK QUITE A LONG TIME TO FINALLY GET OUT TO GIVE A QUOTE. AFTER SEVERAL WEEKS I FINALLY GOT A VERBAL QUOTE OVER THE PHONE. I CALLED BACK THREE TIMES TO TRY TO GET SOMETHING IN WRITING BUT BILL NEVER RETURNED MY CALL NOR DID HE GIVE A WRITTEN QUOTE. I WOULD PROBABLY NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY.

SUSAN WAS VERY HELPFUL IN SHOWING US THE KIND OF CARPET WE NEEDED. THE PEOPLE WHO INSTALLED THE CARPET WERE FRIENDLY & GOOD AT THEIR WORK & MADE GOOD SUGGESTIONS THAT IMPROVED THE LOOK OF THE CARPET. REMOVING THE OLD PAD CREATED A MESS, BUT THEY CLEANED IT UP THOROUGHLY.

THE INSTALLATION WAS VERY GOOD HOWEVER, EDNA LYNCH, THE FLOORING SPECIALIST, DID NOT EVER GIVE ME A CONTRACT. I WANTED TO USE THE SAME QUARTER ROUND THAT MATCHED MY BASE BOARDS; NOT WHAT THEY OFFERED. THEIR QUARTER ROUND MATCHES THE FLOORING. EDNA SAID THAT WOULD COST LESS AND SAID $500 WOULD BE DEDUCTED. SHE LATER DENIED SAYING IT. THEY DELIVERED ALL THE FLOORING BUT NO QUARTER ROUND, SO THEY KNEW I WAS GOING TO USE MY OWN QUARTER ROUND. SHE NEVER DEDUCTED THE COST. MY SISTER WAS THERE WITH ME WHEN I ORDERED IT AND KNOWS WHAT EDNA SAID TO ME.

THE COMPANY HAS FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL SALESPERSON. THEY PRICE BETTER THAN OTHER COMPANIES ESTIMATES. THE INSTALLER WAS PROMPT, COURTEOUS, AND DID A GOOD JOB.

VERY ACCOMMODATING, PUNCTUAL AND REALLY NICE, ESPECIALLY THE INSTALLERS.

WORKMANSHIP BY THE INSTALLERS WAS GOOD. SALESMAN MISCALCULATED AMOUNT OF TILE AND CARPET NEEDED, THUS RESULTING IN DELAY IN COMPLETION OF JOB, TOOK 2 EXTRA DAYS. WHEN THE JOB WAS COMPLETED THE SALESMAN DID NOT FOLLOW UP TO CHECK WHETHER WE WERE SATISFIED WITH THE PRODUCT AND SERVICE DESPITE SPENDING A SIGNIFICANT AMOUNT OF MONEY. WHILE I WOULD RECOMMEND THE QUALITY OF THE WORK PERFORMED AND THEIR RESPONSIVENESS IN GETTING THE ERRORS CORRECTED, I WAS DISAPPOINTED THAT THE SALESMAN WAS SO INEPT IN CALCULATING THE PROPER AMOUNT OF TILE AND CARPETING NEEDED WHEN HE TOOK THE MEASUREMENTS AND DIDNT FOLLOW UP AFTER THE INSTALLATION WAS COMPLETED.

THE FLOORS LOOK OK EXCEPT FOR THE SLOPPY JOB OF REPAIRING OUR BURGLAR ALARM WIRES THAT THEY CUT. MATERIAL ARRIVED DEFECTIVE SO ONE ROOM THAT WE USE MOST WAS TORN UP FOR AN EXTRA WEEK. THE MANAGER AT THE BRIDGETON STORE WAS RUDE TO US. WE HAD TO ASK FOR EXPEDITED SHIPPING ON THE NEW MATERIAL. THE MANAGER SIGHED AND STATED THAT HED HAVE TO ASK THE PRESIDENT OF THE COMPANY IF THAT WAS OK. THEY FINALLY EXPEDITED IT. WORKERS DID NOT ARRIVE ON TIME, USUALLY TWO OR MORE HOURS LATE AND THEN STATED THAT THEY COULD NEVER GUARANTEE AN ARRIVAL TIME AND THAT IT STATES THAT IN THE SMALL PRINT OF THE CONTRACT. WHAT THEY PROMISE YOU IN THE STORE AND WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENS AT YOUR HOME ARE TWO DIFFERENT THINGS. THEY ALSO THOUGHT AT FIRST THAT THEY COULDNT USE THE MATERIAL WE BOUGHT FROM THEM BECAUSE OF AN UNEVENNESS IN THE FLOOR. THE MANAGER OF THE STORE, WHO ALSO SOLD US THE MATERIAL, NEVER MENTIONED THAT OUR FLOOR HAD TO BE PERFECTLY LEVEL TO USE DURASTONE.

THE SERVICE BEFORE THE SALE WAS EXCELLENT, AND THE SERVICE AFTER THE SALE WAS EXCELLENT.
