Description of Work: I had squirrels living in my roof in an 19th century townhouse in Soulard. The roof was difficult to reach due to height and wires, etc. Mark set up traps on my roof outside the hole the squirrels had chewed in my gutter board. He trapped five squirrels over five days and removed them. Then he sealed the hole with steel. He was terrific--punctual and professional and successful! And he was friendly and helpful too. Also, His fee was less than others. He will be go to guy for animal removal.

Description of Work: Mark Casaleggi, the owner, appeared very promptly in response to my call. I asked him to evaluate what had been living in my attic and chewing on my air conditioning ducts. This was a necessary first step before I directed the AC guys to repair the damage and the roofers to repair whatever access holes there are from the outside to the inside of the attic. Mark spent quite a bit of time in my attic and on my (high) roof while listening to me and evaluating evidence as to whether we had raccoons, squirrels or mice up there (there was evidence that pointed to any of these). He explained things logically and operated very carefully, finally coming to the opinion that it was not raccoons (as I had feared) but probably a small animal. To test that he erected some small makeshift barriers that would be disturbed by a large animal going and coming but not by a small one like a mouse, and said he would check them in a few days so that we could know the result. I asked what I owed for his evaluation and time and he replied that there was no charge because he had not done anything yet. He returned about four days later, examined his "tell-tales" and delivered the opinion that mice or squirrels were the problem and that I really did not need his services (prior to my getting the roofers to close up access holes - I did not want to wall a larger animal in). That was good news, I thanked him and asked what I owed for his services. He would not charge me anything since he did not regard himself as really having done anything but simply asked that I pass his name on to people who might or do need his services. I found I liked this guy and I found his old-fashioned devotion to selling what a customer only what he needs refreshing and all too rare. Likewise, our society has come to the view that an expert opinion is a service in and of itself rather than a mere prelude to the service. Mark offered his opinion and insight for free in a spirit I applaud. In the unhappy event that I really do need his services, I will willingly call his company back in the future.

Description of Work: We have had Mark over to the house twice: once to deal with a squirrel that had burrowed into out attic and once to deal with a wasp nest. He was prompt, courteous, and informative. He told us what he was going to do with the squirrel, how much it would cost, and then did it. For the wasp nest he came to the house, captured a few of the wasps, and treated an uninhabited nest. Since he could not find the active nest, however, he declined to charge us anything at all.
