Description of Work: A few years ago I had a major problem with mice in the house and a vermin of some kind in the garage that go into my car trunk and burrowed thru the back seat costing major damage to interior of my car. The initial company I called addressed the issue but insisted on monthly visits at considerable expense. I called Mark at a friend's recommendation and he came out and refilled the boxes four times a year which got rid of the infestation completely. I have been problem free since.. He is always available when I call him whether for a bat scare, a mosquito issue before an outdoor party, concerns about my dogs in relation to the boxes, etc. I can't say enough positive things about him. He is extremely knowledgable, professional and likable. HIS SERVICE IS AWESOME.

Description of Work: We had an excellent experience. They arrived when they said they would, set traps and caught the moles. We purchased an annual set up plan which was a little more money up front, but if those pesky critters come back, ABC will come out and re-set the traps at no additional cost. I recommend them.

+ -1 moreMark came out to evaluate our squirrel problem. We have a weird, high slanty roof that he ultimately concluded he couldn't get up to well enough in order to fix the problem. He gave me a pile of suggestions and tips, told me what he'd do, gave us a referral for a tree service company and left without charging us a penny. He was prompt and funny as well as being extremely honest. Living in a house that's over 100 years old, I know we will have more pest issues. I will call him back in a heartbeat and would recommend you do the same. Even though he ultimately did no work for us, his work came recommended very highly.

+ -1 moreThey came out with long ladders and took care of some birds and pigeons roosting on the roof. They then moved the chicken wire mesh forward a little so that they would not go back in there. They did a phenomenal job. We have clay tiles and they were very careful with that. We will use them in the future.
Description of Work: We had ABC Animal & Insect Innovations to remove some bird nests from the roof top. I have used them once earlier.

+ 0 moreWe've had Mark out on several occasions to trap squirrels that have eaten into our roof. He both traps and removes them. This last time we had two very bold squirrels who had chewed into our garbage cans and were jumping onto the windows and hanging out where the squirrels had chewed into the roof in the past. Mark set two traps and quickly trapped the culprits. Mark is always helpful and patient even listening to freaked out clients (I admit it, the squirrel peering in at me while I was eating breakfast while clinging to the window gave me the creeps.) His service is very thorough. It's not cheap, but he deals with dead things I don't want to - worth the money!
Description of Work: Trapped two very troublesome squirrels and removed them.

+ -1 moreI called ABC Animal and Insect Innovations after a squirrel chewed through a type of water pipe that is made of an expandable plastic material to prevent water damage in the event it freezes. There were multiple squirrels and birds living in the small amount of attic space remaining after I converted the attic to living space. He examined the house and set three traps. When I called to report an animal in the trap he came promptly to remove it. Very courteous service at a much more reasonable price than many other companies. Will definitely call him again if the need arises.

+ -1 moreI was very pleased with the entire experience. Mark is very knowledgeable about pests and their habits, and was patient, professional and pleasant in discussing the problem and solutions. He was clear and upfront about his services and pricing. After I agreed to have him do the work, he came promptly, did what he said he'd do, and kept me fully informed at each stage. His invoicing is clear and detailed. He also provided photos with the invoice showing the repair he had performed and another spot on my roof that he recommended I repair. Mark is a great example of the kind of service provider I hope to find when I log on to Angie's List.
Description of Work: Mark, of ABC Animal and Insect Innovations, provided very helpful phone consultation to help decide what type of animal we were dealing with and what his proposed approach would be. He came to the home and evaluated the animals' likely point of entry and set a trap. He returned on two occasions to remove raccoons that he had trapped. Later, after no more animals were caught, he removed the trap and repaired the hole through which the raccons had entered the home. Problem solved. Tenant happy.

+ -1 moreDidn't find any snakes or signs of them, but he looked throughly, told us what we could do to help keep them away and gave suggestions for trapping if we do see them.
Description of Work: Moved into a new house, heard from several sources snakes live in the yard. I really am a wimp when it comes to snakes. We asked ABC to come, see if they could find the snakes and take them away. When scheduling the appt, they told us they might not be able to find them, but could give suggestions.

+ 0 moreIt took awhile but that can happen with animals. The skunk had babies and he got them all out. He told us what to do and how to put a rebar fence up. He took care of a bee problem while he was here for free by filling the holes. We had a bird caught in the garage and he didn’t charge us for getting it out. He’s very nice and he’s good with his pricing.

+ -1 moreI began hearing what sounded like birds or squirrels running in the attic over my master bedroom. I called ABC and spoke with Mark who said it was most probably a squirrel .... just one can create that much noise and activity. He showed up at my home right on time and went to work, checking up in the attic and looking around, also checking the entire perimeter of my house and went up on the roof as well. He suspected they were getting in through an attic vent. He set 2 traps on the roof, and within several days caught one squirrel. He came out and removed it, then came back and put a screen over the vent to keep them out. Mark was very courteous, professional and friendly, and it's obvious he knows what he's doing! I would definitely recommend ABC.
Description of Work: Removed squirrel that had been living in my attic. Traps were set on my roof and the squirrel was caught in the trap within just a few days.

+ 0 moreWe called the company and described the damage to the pond. They concurred that it was probably a raccoon. They set a trap and the following morning they had caught the raccoon. No fuss, no muss, easy to work with, very responsive, no annoying voice mail -- you talk to a real person. We also had them spray for ants, which was effective. A month later, we have evidence of another raccoon. They set the trap again for no additional charge. It's been there for two days; nothing yet!
Description of Work: We had a raccoon that was wreaking havoc on our yard, uprooting plants in the pond and killing the fish.

+ 0 moreWe received Mark's bid last fall, but he suggested waiting until Spring when the bats were active again. Job went great, never even knew when he was here. Bid was very competitive, and the owner is nice as well. Also got some great recipes from the owner.
Description of Work: Sealed most openings where bats could enter, then installed a one-way screen so the bats could leave the attic but not get back in. When all bats were out, they sealed the final opening.

+ -1 moreMark was just a very nice guy! Some companies charge per squirrel, but this company charged per pick-up instead so the price was much more reasonable. They were nice, helpful, and responsive. I would definitely recommend them and use them again.
Description of Work: Removed squirrels in my house. They had eaten through some wood and gotten into the attic, and ABC's Mark came out and set up live traps and removed the squirrels.

+ -1 moreFirst, they come and give you an estimate and inspect the area. They let you know how they re going to do the work then they come out the next day and set everything up. The process takes 1 hour because they are very fast and effective. They do great work and I would recommend them to anyone.
Description of Work: They removed bats from my attic sealing all the possible exits and entry ways except for one where they placed a one way passage where the bats could go out of the attic but could not go back in.

Notices leaks in faucets, toilets, etc...and let's me know what to do to lessen the chance of having an insect or bug come into the house. He has my house bug free.
Description of Work: Mark comes in and sprays in and around the house, checking all the while for insect problems that have the chance of occurring. He looks outside and handles bee problems for me as well.

IT SEEMS A LOT TO PAY TO GET RID OF MOLES, BUT WE TRIED EVERYTHING ELSE. MARK, THE OWNER, WAS VERY NICE AND DID A GOOD JOB. YOU PAY $60 SET UP FEE, THEN $45 PER MOLE CAUGHT. IF NO MOLES ARE CAUGHT, YOU DON'T PAY.
