Very well, no complaints.

The quote was under $500. They came out when I was not at home. They did not give me a date to come out. They mailed the quote to me. They were prompt. I did not have any further contacts with them. They were neither the highest nor the lowest bidders. I will not consider them for a future quote as I did not like them coming out to my property without my knowledge. I was not happy about that at all.

In combination of the lovely, tumultuous spring weather we had in St. Louis, and the terrible job my home builder did on my roof 10 years ago, I needed to get it replaced. Jim was able to come out fairly quickly and provided an estimate a few days later. Once that was received, I contacted my insurance company to have the adjuster come out and do their due diligence. After I got their estimate, I sent it to Jim. He was able to speak with the insurance company and work out discrepancies. From start to finish, it took about 2 months. At the time, my roof was not leaking so there wasn't a hurry. It did start to leak a week or so before the roof was completed. Jim as able to push my time up a bit. The workers came out about 6:00-6:30 am and worked until about 7:00 pm. There was barely any debris or remanence that anyone was there. They did a fantastic job. Jim was great to work with and we have already gotten a bid to continue siding above our garage door (right now has particle board that is cracked and looks dreadful).

They were quick to get the job done. There was some damage done to the fascia boards, and it took them a while to get it fixed. They only use Americans to put the roof on.

At my first contact, I was told they were backed up and it might be a couple of weeks before they got to me, but it the delay would "not be a problem." After two weeks with no contact, I called. I was told they were putting a bid in the mail. I said, forget the mail, the price is fine, let's get it done ASAP. He said he would put me in line with a verbal acceptance. After another week with no contact, I called again. This time I was told my bid was returned for a bad address, so they didn't know what to do. (I had given them my PO box that I use for mail the previous call and told them not to wait on a paper bid and acceptance.) He apologized and promised to get out the following week. The next week went by without any contact. At the end of the next week after that, I called to cancel the work order. Then I was told the repairman was at my house that very day! During the long wait, several other roofers had called me. If he was too busy, he could have been honest at the outset. The same night the repair was done, I went into a spare bedroom that I normally keep closed off from air conditioning and was dismayed to find the drywall on the ceiling bowed down and molded. Obviously, the wait was a problem. Finally, I got a call from a lady wanting my address! I gave her my P O box for the fourth time. Apparently, the man I spoke to the first three times never did write it down.

They were on time and reasonably priced. I liked their services and will use the same in future.

Well, it's a long story but so far I enjoy dealing with Jim Nolan. The job was completed in June and we are totally satisfied. Jim completed dealing with our insurance company and everything went well from there on. My roof looked so good, that, in the first few weeks after the completion I would go across the street and stare at my house for a little while. Also, I might add that Nolan also did my next door neighbor's roof and siding. From our advantage point or view point the house looks gorgeous. I don't have to reveal the address, just come down England Drive in the High Grove Estates and you can't miss the house, it's the best looking house on the block.

The experience was very professional and the crew performed the above all standards.

They did the bid really quickly. I had to call them twice to get them out but they responded quickly after the second call. Their bid was a little over $4400.

Called Nolan Exteriors to request an estimate, someone looked at the roof within a day or two, I received an estimate a few days later, and the work was performed within a few days after I asked them to do the job.

I would highly recommend them. They are very professional. Their work is of good quality. They are also courteous and honest. They are good people to work with.

I used Angie's to pick Nolan Exteriors and found them to be as advertised. They were excellent in every area and I have already recommended them to friends of ours. Mr. Nolan was also helpful in helping me to locate someone to rebuild my driveway.

They came over and examined the situation and told me what was wrong. He gave me a price for the repair and got the job done. The price was competitive. We've had snow and rain since, and there has been no problem.

Jim Nolan was great about explaining exactly what the process would entail and was very patient with my laundry list of questions. He pointed out a few things I wouldn't have thought of during the process as well. After three months with the roof on, I have not noticed any leaks or other issues to report. Overall, very happy with the transaction. My only complaint was that the workers smashed one of my newly planted bushes, but this can be replanted for only a few bucks next season.

With all of the rain we've been having I began to notice ceiling water stains in two areas of my home. I called them to come and see what the problem was. Since I had to schedule when I was home (they had to come inside) it took about 2 weeks for coordination. The estimator was very professional and on time for his appointment. I promptly received a written quotation, approved it and faxed it back to them. Within 2 weeks the repair work was completed. Jim Nolan suggested that I draw around the stains with a pencil and wait for a couple of rains prior to painting to be sure they repaired everything correctly. I did do that and we've since had several more rain storms and the stains did not expand. Bingo - job well done! When they removed the old roofing, it was determined that one piece of plywood had to be replaced so I did end up paying an additional $38 over the estimate.

Contacted Nolan for an estimate. They sent someone out who did perhaps a 15 to 20 minute inspection and then left, saying they would get back to us with an estimate. After about a week I sent an email via their website asking why we had not received an estimate. We never received an estimate or a response.

One of the workers came out and surveyed the project and told us what needed to be done. The workers were fair and good and professional in their work. I had a little problem in scheduling as they didn't tell me when they were coming. I resolved that issue by contacting the owner's wife, who ran the office, several times by phone. She was very helpful in all matters.

During a heavy shower, we heard drops plopping in the kitchen. The next day we called Nolan exteriors after checking with Angie's List and The Better Business Bureau. Their office was close to us, and when they heard the problem they sent a man within the hour to check on it. Jim Nolan phoned us after the inspection and gave an oral estimate of $140.00 to repair the leaks. When asked if it could be done that day, before more expected rain, he called the worker who had inspected the job and found out he could fit it into that day. In a short time the repairs were made, cleaned up, and the leak was halted. What a pleasure to find a company so professional and responsive.

Great to work with, they installed the new roof very soon after I returned the bid sheet. The job was neatly done with no evidence they had even been there, no old singles on the ground, no nails and no tramped down grass. Several weeks went by and I had not received a bill. I called to make sure I hadn't missed it and Jim apologized and said that since the siding job was so small they had been trying to work it in the schedule between other large jobs, and that they wouldn't bill me for anything until all the work was completed. After dealing with several contractors, most of whom want as much up-front money as they can . I think thats pretty rare. A few days later they did a nice job installing the siding, again, no mess to clean up and all edges and trim nicely finished.

I called in late October. They came out when I wasn't home to look at it, and left no message that they'd been there. When I called to see if they were coming, he said the bid was in the mail. I received it and returned the signed copy 11/3. I heard nothing from them, so I called to see if they'd received it. He said yes, but since it was a 'small job', they'd have to 'work it in'. That was OK with me, but when nothing had been done by mid-December, I called again. The lady that answered said they'd get on it that week. When nothing happened, I called again in early January. He said he'd misplaced the paperwork, apologized and said they'd be there 'tomorrow'. The following day their man showed up, did the work and left. He cleaned up EVERYTHING, and did an outstanding job matching the shingles. I was completely satisfied with his work. If only they'd have called to let me know what was going on. They never initiated ONE call until after my last one. Good company if you're patient.

Jim Nolan is excellent, and I highly recommend his services. The last heavy rain caused a lot of gutter problems for me. I called Nolan for a quote. Within 5 days, he was able to fit me in. The urgency was landscaping... which is soon to begin, and the gutters had to go in before the landscaping. He understood my urgency. The crew did a wonderful job on the installation as well as cleaning up debris. The cost may appear high to some, but you have to go by the roof style. Mine is a ''hip'' with lots of corners.

WORKERS WERE ON TIME AND VERY POLITE. THEY WORKED UNTIL DARK. DEBRIS WAS CLEANED UP AS THEY WORKED. THEY EVEN PUT NEW SHINGLES ON MY PET'S OUTSIDE HOUSE. MR. NOLAN WAS AT THE SITE TWICE DURING THE JOB AND UPON COMPLETION. I'VE NOW ASKED FOR A ROOF QUOTE ON OUR LAKE HOUSE. THEY NEED TO BE ON THE TOP OF ANGIE'S LIST!
