Nolan Exteriors

One of Nolan Exterior's worker drove a nail into my master toilet drain pipe while installing soffit. This is covered under workmanship warranty however Jim Nolan will not return phone calls, ignores messages. Unprofessional, not reliable.

They did a nice job on the roof & labor; however; the shingles that were used have begun to wear improperly. We contacted Nolan and they agreed to send someone out to take samples or photos to submit to the Tampko company to honor the shingle warranty. Unfortunately, Nolan has been too busy or does not care about taking care of warranty issues. Tampko does have a class action lawsuit pending on the shingles that were purchased, so I guess we got taken, twice. Once by Nolan, now by Tampko.

Nice man. I wanted an estimate on the house. He said he could do it in a few days, then mail the estimate. I had several other estimates and made my decision before I even received his estimate in the mail. His estimate was reasonable and close to the others, though.

Nolan exteriors did a terrific job with my roof replacement. Absolutely fantastic people, workers were prompt and efficient, and did everything as promised. From start to finish absolutely fantastic. Thank you Jim Nolan.

The weather hampered the install slightly with both frost and rain but the crew and Jim worked hard to ensure the job was completed in time. Clean up was hard when the job was done since it was raining but the crew returned the next day and ensured the yard was left as clean as they found it

The weather was extremely cold and windy. Because of this the job took two days instead of one. This was completely understandable in light of the conditions. Nevertheless the job was completed and the workmanship was excellent. At the conclusion of the job, one of the workers took me around and allowed me to inspect their work. My house is now "paint-free" and looks great. I have used Nolan in the past and will continue to do so.

On time, on budget, as promised. Sort of a non-issue. Nolan delivered what was promised as it was promised. The crew worked their butts off in blistering heat and the only sign of their work after they left was a new roof.

They came out to give me an estimate when they said they would. The repair I thought was a little high and when Jim explained it costs money to put two men in a truck, the insurance, the gas I understood for the most part. We decided to get some new gutters and screens because when we added those items onto the original repair it wasn't really that much more money. So far everything is working and we are happy with the services we received. Now we need our gutters cleaned but as long as they are attached to the house we are happy : - )

A representative from Nolan Exteriors was very prompt in returning my call and made an appointment to give me a quote on the project. The work was completed in a timely manner and we were very pleased with the job.

We got our new roof on time and on schedule, the problem came 3 months later. A storm came through with 60 mph winds that tore about a dozen shingles off of our roof. I called nolan immediately to get repairs or at least a tarp put over the area of the missing shingles. They finally showed up after 3 days and put a tarp down, 2 days later we had light winds approx 30 mph and it immediately tore the tarp loose. I called back to get the tarp fastened down again, about a week later they finally came by to re-attach the tarp. Again, some light winds one night and the tarp tore loose again. I gave up at this point and re-attached the tarp myself. Since the storm that damaged our roof consisted of only 60 mph winds and we purchased shingles that are warrantied up to 130 mph and the roof was only 3 months old, I told nolan that I exepected all repairs to be covered by the warranty. 2 months of phone calls and complaining later, They finally came by to look at my roof. They told me they were going to repair my roof at no cost to me. Keep in mind this was only a dozen or so shingles that needed replaced, two men could finish this job in 2-3 hours. 2-3 weeks after they had finally come by to look at the damage (this is approx 3 months after the initial storm) and still no repairs. Finally I called nolan again and informed them that if my roof was not repaired in one week I was getting a lawyer to handle this, only then did my roof get repaired. Initial installation went fine, service after the sale was non existent.

Jim and his crew were sensational. Jim came to my home with samples and details about the shingles we were going to have installed. He was so informative, that, by the time my project was completed I was an expert on roofing. The crew was punctual and worked steady. At the completion of the install, Jim would not accept our final payment until we "toured" the site and were completely satisfied with the job.

I worked with Jim Nolan and Jeremy to resolve a leak in the roof and siding. We also replaced some windows that had been leaking. So far we are very satisfied with all the work done. It was really great working with Jeremy.

I had gotten a couple of bids from different companies for my roof and decided to go with Nolan Exteriors. I spoke to Jim Nolan on the phone and I thought that he was very professional and he took the time to answer all of my questions. He told me that he would stop by my house the following day to take a look at the roof and would get a bid out to me in the mail by the end of the week, and he did. I feel that I received great service and my roof looks beautiful!!! I would highly recommend Nolan Exteriors to my family and friends.

They were busy due to hail damage in the area. Jim Nolan sent Jamie to give an estimate. I accepted the estimate and they scheduled the work for the following week. Jim called and Jamie responded to do the work. It was done in a professional manner. They also gave me a estimate to do the entire roof if it was required. Would use them again.

I didn't think work would start as quickly as it did, because of all the recent hail damage done in the area. However, Jim called us within a couple weeks to begin the job. When they were done the new roof looked beautiful. I was thrilled, until the following day when it rained and I took the garbage out and found the roof over my car was leaking! I called Jim and they came out the following day. They found the issue to be a bad flashing where the garage roofline met the house, and fixed it. No further problems at all! The were very professional and cleaned up the work site. Only minor things were found; a nail here or there, but that was to be expected. You can't find it all! The only issue I had was that none of the crew spoke English. Fortunately I speak some Spanish. Outside of this they did an awesome job and we've been very happy with the quality of the job, and have, in turn recommended them to friends needing a new roof.

We found them on Angie's List. They did a good job. Everything was on time and within our budget. We didn’t have a bad experience with them at all. There were a few things left over, but for the most part they took care of everything to our satisfaction.

We had damage from storms in the spring of 2011. We got bids from about 3 companies and decided to use Nolan Exteriors. The owner, Jim Nolan, was very professional, as was his crews. We were very pleased with their work, the price and the overall process. We would definitely use them again and have recommended them to friends who have also used Nolan and had a very good experience.

2011, They were here every day and cleaned up after every shift. I have a mansored roof and had leakage aroung several windows and with the flashing they installed solved my problems. They were very aware of my problems and were very meticulous in trying to solve them. I am looking forward to using the company for my attic insulation.

He did some work for my father-in-law. I called 3 times and went by their office. They said they would have somebody out here. I took off a day from work and nobody ever showed up. I saw their work and they do a good job but they need to work on their customer service skills. Their prices are right there with the rest of them. They did eventually call me and apologized. I possibly might use them. The quality of the work they did for my father-in-law was good.

They are taking a really long time to come in and do the work. I have already called them twice to ask them where they are. They told me that they are really busy, even though, I had received the estimate three months ago. The estimate was for $500 for the job. I had called several others for the estimate. My husband chose this company for the job. According to the reviews, their work was good. I just cannot get them to come out and do the work. If they do not come out soon, I will not use them; I will use somebody else.

They didn’t have a bad record. That was the primary reason to choose them. They took care of any issues. They were reputed company. I would use them in the future.

Excellent at telling us about the pros/cons of roofing choices. Provided list of many completed projects to go view and discuss with owners. We thought we had a problem with the finished job. They were great about coming back out, checking the work and correcting. Turns out the issue was not with the roof. Warned us about potential issue with tear or and replacement that would leave a gap. Did not tell us they would damage existing soffit and then not repair. Should have warned us that soffit could be damaged and they should have either offered an option and cost for repair or included repair and cost in the original bid.

we called this company based on their angie's list rating. we needed an estimate for storm damage repair. we called to have them look at the evident damage to our siding/fascia as well as the roof. they came out the week after we called, evidenced only by a hang tag on our door. one month after hearing nothing from the company, i called. i was told our roof did not need replacing, and that "piecemeal" jobs like ours are harder to work up an estimate. he found our report while i was on the phone and promised that he would get it to us soon. we have not heard from them since.

They did a great job. I would recommend them to anyone. Theirs was the least expensive quote for the fifty years architectural shingles. They cleaned up after themselves. They were here when they said that they were going to come. They were very timely with their quote. They were here and got the whole job done in a day. Overall we were very pleased with the experience with Nolan.

I use Angie’s list to find three contractors to bid on a job. When I decide who will get the job I have the decency of calling the other two and letting them know that they didn’t get the job. I would expect if a contractor has no interest in wanting to do the job that he’d be upfront with me and tell me so instead of leading me on. I called Nolan Exteriors on July 5, 2011 to set up an appointment. to come out and check my gutters. He told me that he was busy but would call me back in a week to set up an appointment. He never called back. That is why I’m giving this contractor an F. Some common courtesy between contractor and customer should be the upmost concern for both parties.
