We hired Leaf Filter to clean and seal our gutters. The salesman promised us a 30 year guarantee on the sealant during his 90 minute pitch. When the technician came, he spent less than an hour on a three story home and told us at the end that he didn’t actually have to do much, but everything was taken care of and it was safe to undertake the expensive wood rot and painting repairs. Just a couple days later, when it rained, the gutters were still visibly clogged and leaking. Another technician came to check it out and agreed that the gutters were draining too slowly not to be clogged, and than leaking water was visible from the joints and gutters that were supposed to have been sealed. I spent weeks and weeks calling the local and corporate offices to get it resolved, but they refuse. They have acknowledged they are not experienced with my gutters and that the project is outside their ability, but refuse to refund the money so that I can hire a competent company that can deliver on their promises. At this point, they are still telling me they’re going to charge me more than $1,000 per hour for the work they did that didn’t resolve any issues. Do yourself a favor and avoid this dishonest company.

Despite mediocre ratings related to their installation service, I decided to explore having Leaf Filter install its product at my house. The salesman came to our house and, after his pitch, offered us what he described as a significant discount but told us that we could only get the discount if we signed the contract that day. If he left, we would lose the discount. Despite the hard sell, we decided to purchase the product and signed the agreement on August 8, 2019. Installation was scheduled for September 3, 2019. The installers were supposed to arrive between 8 AM and noon. When they had not arrived by 11:30, I called Leaf Filter and was told that because of a delay at an installation earlier in the day, they would not be able to perform the installation that day. We rescheduled. Again, the installers were to arrive between 8 AM and noon. On the day scheduled for the second attempt, the installers again did not show. I called Leaf Filter and was informed that I was not even on the schedule. We scheduled yet again. In light of the problems we had experienced, I requested that I be first on the schedule. We set the appointment for October 23, 2019. On October 23, 2019, the installer arrived around 9:15. Unfortunately, he did not have the equipment he needed to perform the installation. That equipment was at a job site about an hour’s drive away and was broken. The installer informed me that they were trying to fix the equipment and would bring it to the job site as soon as possible. In the meantime, he did not perform any work that he could do without the broken equipment. He proceeded to tell me that he was a contractor and that he wouldn’t get paid if he didn’t get the job completed. As he continued his lengthy monologue about his problems, I simply turned around and went bad into my house. He later left without telling me and, also without telling me, left job materials in my back yard. I called Leaf Filter one more time. When I told the manager that his installer had left, he told me that the installer said he left because I had been “disrespectful.” I told him that I merely walked away from the installer’s lengthy harangue and the manager told me that he had had a similar experience with the installer and believed my version. I asked him why, given his experience with the installer, he would give any credibility to the installer’s claim. He didn’t have an answer. The Leaf Filter manager asked me if I wanted to reschedule. I told him no – let’s just cancel. We verbally agreed to cancel. After the call, my wife told me that the installer had left materials in the back yard. I called Leaf Filter once more and told them to come and pick it up. I told the person I spoke to that the contract had been cancelled but their system did not show that. I asked that he have someone call me to confirm the cancellation and to pick up their materials. Long story short, I would never do business with this company again. Needless to say, their installation service is very messed up. And when I called to deal with their failure, I was told that I had been disrespectful. They may have a great product, but I’ll never know since they seem to be incapable of scheduling the work.

LeafFilter RUINED our home!!! The product clogs with WATER! Yes, water! When it rains it overflows out of the gutter and goes down into the interior of your walls. Now we're dealing with interior flooding and mold that needs to be addressed. In the contract they were supposed to realign our gutters which never happened and they installed a partial fascia incorrectly, admitted by the supervisor. The sales person told us the fascia would be white. They installed an unfinished product so we had to paint it. They also installed an 8" fascia when it was supposed to be 10". Now the gap is allowing water to go into our walls exactly where they replaced the fascia. See pics of water coming out of our interior window trim from the fascia replacement. We never had an issue until we had this product installed. Their customer service is a joke and never calls you back. When they do finally contact you and schedule someone to come out they never show up. I just want my old gutters back to the way they were before this company touched them. The company claims on their website that they've had a total of 388,000 customers with zero clogs. It's a bold face lie! Their product causes rain to go over the gutter instead of draining into the gutter and through the spout. I'm not the first to complain about this. Do your research like we should have and look them up on the Better Business Bureau and other sites. They are full of it! Our complaints are the same as the others.

Product does not work as promised. They refuse to honor their own money back guarantee. They advertise that gutters won't clog and that debris sheds right off the mesh. It does not therefore causing water to run over the gutter instead of draining properly.

Stay away! My nightmare began on 4/8/19. I was told by my sales person Ana that there was going to be a “crew” to do the install, yet only 1 person showed up all 5 times that it’s taken to get my job done. Also, she never mentioned that the installers are subcontractors. The first guy that showed up was scary looking enough to make my wife ask me to answer the door. No credentials, no signage, no anything but a piece of paper. I was told it would take 4 hours to complete the job. On the first day, the single installer was here for 6 hours and didn’t get halfway done. Trash was left and I found 9 screws in front of my garage doors. Also, if I hadn’t noticed the color on the boxes he would have installed the wrong color. After calling and talking to the person in charge Andrew, they scheduled me for the 9th to complete the job. Andrew and a installer came to my house and even though it was clearly stated on my work order that they would need a 40’ ladder for the job, they did not bring one. The kid that tried to finish the install was incompetent at best and needless to say, didn’t finish the job. On the 10th I called and talked to the regional manager Tim Barna. After explaining what was going on and my displeasure, and the fact that it didn’t seem like anyone there cared. He raised his voice to me and said, I totally understand that you are upset, I have had Sh***y work done at my house and know how frustrating it is. I really didn’t know how to respond to being spoken to that way. Andrew said he was going to put his best guy on it and scheduled it for 4/15/19. The guy showed up and low and behold, the first installer showed up again. He spent more time complaining about the bad job the second guy did than working. He finished the install and as we looked at it, there were gaps and gutters hanging differently and my 3 year old gutters were all bent and wavey. They sent a inspector, I believe his name was Travis. He told me that it looked like it needed to be completely redone. It was scheduled for 4/29/19. At 11:00 on the 29th, Andrew called and said, I was out of town this weekend and it looks like someone scheduled you for today, but they didn’t get a “crew” scheduled. To which I informed him that the person he was referring to was him. All he could say was, oh yeah now I remember. He rescheduled it for 5/1/19. This time they sent Clifford, he was the most competent of all the installers. He spent 7 hours trying to fix everything, he informed me that he had to install 40 more hangers. It was better, but still looked terrible. So after calling Wells Fargo to inform them of the situation, they put everything on a 60 day hold to give me plenty of time to resolve the problem. I spoke with Rachel and she was very helpful. I then called the corporate office to complain. I was called by another regional manager named Darrin. On the 15th he and Tim Barna came to my house to assess the problem. They agreed that it was a terrible job and scheduled another installer for the 22nd. Clifford showed up again and did the best he could to fix everything. He said that they only gave him 50 feet of materials ( I believe the entire job was 180 feet) and he called to get more because in both of our opinions there is more that needs to be replaced. They said, NO. I’m still unhappy that now my 3 year old gutters are bent and wavey beyond repair and not once has anyone even thought about offering anything for all of my trouble. I would have thought that with all the trouble I have had that someone from LeafFilter would have contacted me, but no call, no email, nothing. They really seem to only care about being paid. I highly recommend that if you don’t heed this warning and get suckered in, at least pay by credit card or do the 0% financing that Wells Fargo offers (if they still offer it to this company) so you have some protection against such a poorly run, borderline scammers that seem to run this office. I don’t feel that I got even close to the $4500 job that I was promised. In my opinion it’s a total ripoff.

LeafFilter personnel arrived as scheduled and quickly set to work making sure all gutters were clean prior to installing the product. The two man crew worked efficiently and cleaned up after themselves. LeafFilter, once installed, is not noticeable, which we like. We are looking forward to no longer needing to hire personnel to climb up and clean out our gutters and feel secure in having the LeafFilter guarantee to protect us should any problem arise.

Went great, installer rescheduled due to the cold weather, which I had expected. Ice was in the bottom of my gutters so we wited a week for warmer weather. It was a crap shoot because we live in Missouri, enough said, right?? But no issues since the install.

Partial gutter cover install. Expensive! Never repaired soffits or renailed/resealed other gutters per contract. Multiple phone calls over 6 weeks yielded one ‘“manager” visit but no results. Last call to sales agent referred us to 1-800 number. During the one rain I was home, water flowed over the gutter where a small amount of debris accumulated. I fear I will be up on a ladder when the leaves fall. Very disappointed!

Within less than a year of installation, the gutter on the back of my house is clogged. I was guaranteed (per the warranty) of no blockages for the life of the house. It took calling 6 days in a row to finally get a service appointment scheduled. The appointment was no-showed. I've called twice in the hour and a half since the appointment time and am told I will get a call back promptly. I'm still waiting.

We recommended them to somebody else in our neighborhood. It was not cheap, but it is guaranteed for life. I thought the price was high, but only time will tell. No one else was offering that type of a solution. We had gone with a plastic one before and it didn't hold up, nor did it fulfill its expectation. So, this one here so far seems to be doing well. So we'll see. Quality is excellent. I don't know if I would use them again. The jury is out on that one because, again, it was quite expensive. But, we can't climb on ladders anymore to clean out gutters. They are quite high. And so, having it all done, if we don't have to do that next year - or ever again, it will be worth every penny because the doctor bills are more than that when you fall off the ladder.

I was excited to have something like this on my gutters, and the sales guy was great, but it looks like it was too good to be true. On the 3rd day the installer quit. The regional manager told us he'd make it right and sent out a team at 8pm who left a mess. I told them to leave; and they ended up charging my card for the full amount. The regional manager and district manager both came out to my house, and I thought it was all going to get resolved, but it turns out that wasn't the case. They were in over their heads. I would be careful. If it was something they had gotten right the first time, there wouldn't have been an issue. I feel jerked around and am very unhappy.
