Mark was ill for his first appointment but did call to reschedule, which I very much appreciated. He came to my house, on time, for his rescheduled appointment to look at my door. It had not been closing for years. He did a temporary fix, which helped in the interim, but he told me the door needed to be rehung. He did not charge me until his worker, John, came out and rehung the door. It works perfectly now, better than when it was first installed. I learned from Mark on his first visit that his business is a kind of handyman service too. In addition to fixing the door, John did some other odd jobs for me. He worked hard and did good work. I was not excited about the caulking job he did, so I took off a 1/2 star for that. I only took off a half star because he did many other jobs and did professional work on the rest. My only other complaint is that on the two occasions John came out, I was told he would be here at 9 am. Both times, Mark contacted me to say he had scheduled John elsewhere first thing in the morning. I appreciate that Mark's communication was good and kept in contact about schedule changes. That is not the norm for contractors, in my experience. I just would have liked for John to be here both days for the FULL day so more could have been accomplished. However, i was only charged for the time he worked, so I can't complain about that. Overall, I would recommend MHK.

Good work and reasonable prices

Mark and team did a great job replacing my 20 year old fence with an identical product. They were easy to work with, had flexible scheduling, and a fair price.

The team was professional and friendly. John, the crew boss, worked long, hard hours. The job took longer than expected. We didnâ t feel confident in the teamâ s ability to screen our deck so we cancelled that part of the job. Otherwise, it was good work.

Got a wood step instead of concrete and it was a little high.

MHK General Services did a fabulous job doing a custom build new staircase. The owner , Mark and his team not onlydid everything that they said they would, but they also went above and beyond to Make sure that we were satisfied.. You get great value with the quality of work and fair pricing. I willbe hiring them again for future projects!!

They showed up, they did what they said they would do, the work was excellent, and they charged me exactly what was expected. Highly recommend this company.

MHK crew made a complete mess of my bathroom. Floor tiles are uneven. Shower tile is not offset correctly. Shower tile is not flush?tiles are sticking out in random places. Painted over unfinished drywall. Shower is leaking from behind the tiles. Caulked then grouted over caulk at top of shower and shower corners?.grout does not stick to caulk. Light mounted where old light was and you can see where old light was because wall wasn't mudded over. Handle for sprayer is loose and not even attached to wall. Shower head is loose. Cement board was placed over drywall. Caulk used around shower pan is off white/yellow shower is white. Owner was hospitalized and crew stated they were not getting paid per his wife. All but one walked out. The one that stayed tried to guilt me into paying. I fired MHK for shoddy workmanship and unprofessionalism. Bathroom is a total loss.

They replaced a few joists and all of the decking boards on my deck. They also sprayed mold repellant and cleaned up the work site. These guys go the extra mile. Wonderful to work with and attentive to the job.
