But, a valve on the water heater broke in the process (not the provider's fault) and I found myself with an unexpected repair on something that was meant to be preventative maintenance. Also, the provider did not have any hoses with him that would reach from the water heater to the floor drain. Overall, OK experience.
Description of Work: I just purchased an angies list coupon for the water heater flush.

+ -1 moreFantastic work! It's hard to find great contractors sometimes. They were on-time, clean, courteous, and professional. They were able to identify and solve the problem in the most least expensive way, by fixing o-rings, instead of going to the supply store to get a whole new part.

+ 0 moreIt was a very challenging job as we live in a house almost a century old. But their fix made the tub drain better than it had ever drained before. We'd definitely work with Precision again.
Description of Work: We had a bathtub drain with a serious leak. Precision came the next day and performed extensive "surgery" on the entire tub drain system. They replaced the drain, the pipe, connectors and so forth.

As part of the Big Deal I had purchased, he also surveyed the basement piping and reviewed some other minor plumbing problems I was experiencing, all of which would be best left alone until the major bathroom remodel I am planning. Very impressed. Dan's work was neat, he was methodical in his approach to each problem I pointed out, and he cleaned up his work area when done. Thank you, Dan.

+ -1 moreI had used this company in the past and was previously satisfied with their work, although I noticed that their pricing was increasing beyond normal inflationary increases. Technically this job was done well and the plumber Dan was skilled and professional. I am very dissatisfied with the price I was charged for the H770 Insinkerator. I was charged $368 for this unit and I could have purchased it at $209.00 at Home Depot. I told them this price was exorbitant and gave them evidence of the Home Depot price. I was told that the price was correct. I realize there are overhead costs in a business, but I thought the $169 labor cost would cover that. I think this business is more interested in profits than doing what is right for the customer.

+ 0 moreStood up for appointment and no further contact to explain why or to reschedule. I called them on a Monday because my sump pump had failed and my basement was taking water. I told the girl that and she made an appointment for me the next day on Tuesday for 1pm-3pm. I was pleased to get such fast service since my basement was taking water. On Tuesday I left work early to meet the plumber. At 3pm no one had shown up. I gave them until 5pm. Still a no show and nobody called me. I called and left a message. Thursday morning and still I have heard from no one. I called and left another message but will not be pursuing business with them.

+ -1 more.. I asked him to refund the fee since they never returned our calls and he refused. He is still billing my credit card every month. I am a professional and expect others to at least act in good faith. I will never use this company again. I have spoken to an attorney about taking them to small claims court.
Description of Work: We asked Precision Plumbers to come to the house to check for running toilets. They rebuilt the inside the water tank to stop it from running. This was Nov. 11, 2010. This cost $400 for 4 toliets. Then they tested the water pressure and said the presuure was too high so they installed a new PRV water valve. This was $700. In one of our bathrooms it turns out that gasket was cracked. This bathroom is rarely used. In March 2012 we noticed a leak on the ceiling of our kitchen coming from that bathroom. This was the first time we had guests staying over using the toilet. They didn't return our calls and come back until July 2, 2012. It turned out the gasket was cracked and caused the leak in the floor. I called the owner and he said there is a good chance his guy knocked the toilet but I could never prove it in court. He said he didn't return our numerous calls because he had a problem with his phone service. By the way, we purchased a service agreement them that guarantees we are serviced first - it is called their Diamond Club. We pay a monthly fee of $7.95

Description of Work: The master bath shower was leaking water to the basement. Precision Plumbers responded quickly to correct the problem. The service man explained the reason for the leak. He explained that the unit had shifted causing the drain to be off center for water to leak through. He repaired the leak in a reasonable time. No problems since then!

+ -1 morePlumber showed up on time for second set appointment and he assessed the home's low water pressure problem quickly. A pressure release valve was installed which fixed the problem. The first appointment needed to be reset because the plumber was tied up on an earlier job that took longer than expected. I would use the company again.

The price and solutions that he suggested were through the roof. I have tried on 3 different occasions to contact someone in the office and no one has called me back.

Description of Work: Delta single handle tub/shower faucet was dripping. Jason, the plumber, removed, rebuilt and reinstalled the cartridge which fixed the drip. I also had an off-brand two handle kitchen sink faucet that was running very slowly on both hot and cold. Jason figured out that the diverter was bad and was causing the problem. He was not able to find a replacement diverter so I had him leave it out. Both hot and cold now flow forcefully.

+ -1 moreThe quote and job went smoothly and on time as scheduled. The quality of plumbing work and the instalation of the vent pipe in the wall space up through first floor was excellent. The vertical section of the vent pipe on the second floor turns out to be in a location that will interfere with a future bathroom renovation and shower wall relocation. Unfortunately, I did not communicate that point effectively to the plumber prior to the work, and I was not present when that particular portion of the work was done, so I can't really hold the plumber responsible for not locating the pipe in a location better suited for the upcoming bathroom renovation. Other than that, the work went very well. The plumber was very knowledgeable and was willing to discuss his work during the time I was present at the worksite. The plumber stayed longer than I expected, as he was determined to finish the project in one day, which he did successfully. Lien waiver was issued promptly upon payment.
Description of Work: Install mop sink in basement. Tie into existing 4 inch stack drain, stub out the drain for the sink, run a vent pipe from basement to second floor and tie into highest fixture on second floor, run new copper water lines with stub-out and shut-off valves, install utility sink, and install faucet into sink.
