I truely appreciated how fast it was. Of course, I prepped the areas by moving furniture, removing switch plates, etc. But, it was still fast.

There was miscommunication and confusion in getting the job started. The contract and check sat in my house for nearly two months without anyone ever coming to pick them up and start the job. BUT, once that was all straightened out, they were great. They were able to come out early, to accommodate the landscaping work I'm having done this week as well. Eric, the tuckpointer, was friendly, courteous, and professional. The chimney is on a steep peaked roof, very high off the ground, and it was a hot day. He spent about three hours on the work. From what I can see of it, it looks to be very well done.

It took a little over a week before they could set an appointment to come out to inspect the roof, but I understood because they were busy with many responses to the Big Deal. The owner, Steve Zahner, came with his crew. They were on time, courteous, and professional. I really appreciated the before-and-after pictures that Steve took. My two-story house has a steep roof, and it's not easy working up there. My garage is detached, so that made for extra work as well. But his guys seemed to do very good work. Although repairs were not included in the Big Deal, they tacked down some loose flashing around the chimney as long as they were up there, for no extra charge. I was impressed! Steve showed me pictures he'd taken of the chimney and recommended that the chimney be tuckpointed. I agreed. He emailed me a very reasonable bid a few days later.

Did a good job. Easy to work with. They were very responsive.

Absolutely terrible. Two painters were to show up. One showed up and the other one showed up late and hung over. The sober one did an OK job with the painting. He got paint on my ceiling and some drips, but not as bad as the other guy. The other one got paint on my floorboards (navy blue paint) and was going to cover it up with white paint. That won't work! THe navy will show through. This guy also painted doors and got paint all over my handle hardware on multiple doors and drips drips drips. I called the company owner to tell them about the job (nicely) and he said he'd "make it right" and come over himself to fix. He said he'd call before he did and I left it open. He never did. I shouldn't have to keep calling.

He came and looked at things. then he sent Me out an estimate.

It was a Big Deal that I purchased. The quality was the problem. They scratched my floors and they have yet to deal with it. They went to the wrong address on the day of the service. I would never use them again.

He did a marvelous job. As for the quality, 100 %. He free hands everything!

They did a good job painting my kitchen as well as other items in my home. They were on time, professional and cleaned up after themselver.

I had a coupon for rebuilding a basement. He seemed very professional and very friendly. He was perfectly on time. His estimate was really high but his work had lot of things that I was looking at.

We purchased the Angie's List "deal" for seven hours of painting. Remodeling Resource contacted me right away to schedule our project. They were flexible with our schedule and confirmed the appointment. Mike showed up exactly on time, discussed the work, and began loading in. He could not have been a nicer guy. He painted our master bedroom and our son's bedroom. We are completely happy with the finished result and will definitely look to Remodeling Resource for future jobs.

All went as well as you could possibly expect. Responsive, punctual, good quality job.

The person who responded to give the estimate was on time, very knowledgable and professional. We received the quote in a reasonable amount of time but as I mentioned above, the issue that caused me concern was the lack of response and delay in getting the set of plans that were supposed to come with the quote. We did receive the plans after two emails and a phone call.

We only used the coupon through Angie’s List to try to get a basement plan. There was nothing in particular that stood out about them. I am not going to use them for the job because I wasn’t impressed.

I had a small job and was very pleased with the service prior and more importantly day of service. Michael, my painter, arrived early and got right to work. He is such a skilled painter and works quickly. I have already recommended him and Your Remodeling Source to my building management.

The entire project was completed in just 3 and one-half weeks! Steve was out of town during most of that time, but was extremely organized in getting things set up before he left. Ray was wonderful! He was there every day. He was hard working, dedicated, professional and courteous and patient. The company has been very responsive to any questions or concerns I had during this process. I am very pleased with my new living area, and would use this company again.

I received an email from Angie's List in March 2011 for a painting special. I can't recall now what the terms were then, because they did so much more for me than just the painting. I was going to sell my house, so I contacted Angie's List and 'bought' the special. I then received a phone call from Steve Zahner, at Remodeling Source, and we arranged a time for him to see the house and he agreed to do the painting work. As we talked, he explained that his remodeling team did more than just paint, so I made a list of all the things that I wanted done and he and his team completed all of them, quickly and professionally.

I cannot say enough nice things about Steve and Mike. Mike gave up his weekend to ensure that our house was painted before the moving van came on Monday. Steve also helped me select a quality carpet installer and guided me on what to expect in terms of hidden fees associated with the other carpet installation companies. I would defiantly use them again and I would recommend them to anyone.

What they did well was, the painter by name Mike did an excellent job. He was very fast. He helped me clean up. He helped me to move furnitures and helped me to move everything back. I was impressed with his speed and accuracy. What I did not like was the fact that, I thought, and I have never heard of parable for, when you get an estimate for two rooms painted, I assumed it included the ceiling. However, when he came in and he said that he was doing only the wall, not even the door trim, I was little upset because I assumed they would do the ceiling, I didn’t like to paint through him, especially ceiling, it was the first thing. Therefore, he agreed to paint the ceiling for another $100. That was kind of a downside. I didn't think I should ask because that part never came up. Moreover, they did not paint the door trim and I ended up painting that yesterday myself in all the doors in the hallway. Anyways I guess it was good and bad. Really disappointed with one aspect and pleased with the other. Price; probably I thought it was a good deal because the painting included the ceiling, then I had to part with another $100. Quality; he did an excellent job. I either would definitely give a lot of things in writing or fortified before I go back to him again. I don't know I would think probably of work somewhere else.

They seemed easy to work with and they paid attention to detail. They seemed to know their job and I will use their services in future.

The estimate they gave was for a two-day effort. They told me up-front that the lettering would have to wait a week for the paint to "cure", otherwise it could remove the paint. We agreed they would return a week after the painting to apply the lettering. After the painter finished on the second day, he left. There was a huge drip on the back of the bathroom door that he missed, and several blotchy spots in the bathroom. The painter had removed all of the old fixtures and left them in a pile in my kitchen, but none of the new fixture work had been done. When I called the owner that night to find out why the job had not been completed, he was surprised at my call. He just assumed that when he returned to do the lettering in a week, he would complete all the fixture work then. I explained that I can't have my bathroom tore up for a week while waiting for his return. He agreed to squeeze me in the following day, and he completed most of the work and it looked great. The following week he returned to complete the lettering on the wall. I also asked him to touch up a couple blotchy spots in the bathroom. He did everything I asked, but much to my surprise, sent me a bill for $50 for touching up the blotchy spots. I sent a reply to the bill saying that I was surprised at being charged the additional $50. The owner's wife called said she was "stewing" over a reply to my surprise, which I thought was very unprofessional. I think this company has the ability to do really good work. They were very pleasant, except for the last exchange with the owner's wife. Just make sure that you completely understand the time frame they intend to do the work. The owner is very fair and corrected all the things I wasn't pleased with...I just didn't like getting charged for the additional touch up work that I felt they should have covered.

From the first day I called Steve, he was flexible and immediately responsive. He was able to come over the very day I called him about getting an estimate, late in the evening to accommodate my work schedule. I had some ideas about what I wanted and where, and Steve was able to tell me after just a few minutes what would work and what would be more of a challenge. It was obvious to me that he was a professional with extensive experience. A couple of days later I received an estimate for services, and his quote was far below others I had gotten in the past, even with additional options that we discussed. When work began, it was a full blown attack on that basement. Steve?s crew arrived early, stayed late if needed, even worked the weekend at times, and made noticeable progress every day. It should be noted that when work began, there was quite a bit of snow on the ground and throughout the job there were some big snow days, but with the exception of one day (when the roads were completely iced over) this did not slow them down. Everyone on Steve?s team was of exceptional character, displayed outstanding professionalism, and was a pleasure to have in my house. The bar originated as an afterthought that I had some rough ideas about; thankfully Steve had some great ideas to make it all work the best for what I was wanting. While Steve did much of the design (I pretty much just approved whatever he thought would be good), his finish carpenter Rey did most of the carpentry. The bar turned out so well that I can hardly express it in words (I plan to attach some photos as soon as I figure out how). If I said it is exactly what I wanted, I would not be doing justice to the job Steve and Rey did on this bar. The finished bar far exceeded any expectation I had of what a bar in a basement should look like?it looks more like it belongs on the lobby floor of an expensive hotel. It is definitely the showpiece of the basement, and everyone who sees it comments on how pretty it is. Remodeling Source is definitely up to any remodeling task. I work with two other people who also had work done by them and were equally impressed. The next time I need work to the house (upstairs next time), I will definitely give them the business.

Steve was able to come out and give me a bid the same day I called him. He was very nice and professional. He figured out the bid while he was at the house, so I knew what to expect before he even left. He said the job would take two days. His schedule was pretty open, so he was able to schedule us in right away. The painter that painted our house was Mike. He was a very nice guy. He got the job done pretty quick. The first day, he showed up at 7 am and left around 12:30 pm. We did have some concerns after the paint had dried on the first day, so we called Steve to let him know. Mike had gotten some paint on the closet door track and on a couple light switches. Also, it didn't look like the coverage on the ceiling was very even. The next day Mike showed up at 7 am and he and my husband looked over the areas of concern. He ended up putting a third coat of paint on the ceiling, and it looks much better. Steve showed up about 30 minutes later and started taking care of the other mistakes. He was able to remove the paint from the areas of concern. Mike finished up the job around 1 pm the second day. We are pleased with the work that was done, and would use this company again.
