I suddenly had a outdoor faucet that I could not shut off and I put a cap on it and went to Angies list to look for a plumber. At Hovacs listing I found a special offer to replace an outdoor faucet for a fixed price. I had to wait a couple of days for my appointment but Darrin came out and put in a better faucet that should last a lot longer. I will not hesitate to call them for other plumbing repairs that I know I will eventually need.

Problem solved. The parts were a bit more expensive than I expected, but it wasn't their fault.

Very professional and punctual. There was a leak in the pipe in the garage leading to one of the spigots and the plumber replaced the pipe and installed a valve in the basement to drain the pipe in the future to avoid freezing. I would not hesitate to use this company for larger projects in the future.

The individual that came to my house was extremely nice, professional and informative. The rubber flapper was replaced however the technician did not have the other parts to full fix my toilet troubles because the handle/bar were not for a normal/typical toilet. He told me he could get the part and come back at a later date however it would be a $57 service charge. He did explain how I could do it myself - I had tried to fix it myself in the past with no success hence the reason for purchasing the toilet tune-up. Unfortunately, I still have the same toilet issue I had before I purchased this service. Very dissatisfied that knowing they were coming out to tune-up/"fix" a toilet that they didn't have the correct parts to do so.

It did not go well. Owner Steve Kosak should have asked me questions. Like how old was my house? And was it split level or two story, or just one level, cause it makes a huge difference in cost. My faucet upstairs was at mid level and it was higher, meaning higher price. He couldn't find parts, said that calcium was in the screws, and he couldn't remove them so they need to be replaced. When the appointment was scheduled, I feel he could told me these things and been more thorough. After speaking with him I said "I don't no what these panels looks like", I asked him to send me a picture, he replied that he would but never did .

See above, but Glen is the best. Did not take a lot of time to perform the work, and, as I mentioned earlier, walked around the house with us, and told us what to look for in failing plumbing fixtures. Although not impacting on the work, he was even driving a new truck. I can't really say enough good things about this service. We have found a plumbing service for any future needs. And Glen is absolutely superb!!

It went just fine. I had them about a month ago, and then I had them last week. They did a good job both times, and they came on time and took care of things. They charged me more than the big deal because they did more, but I wasn't surprised.

The technician was prompt, polite, professional and did a good job. The offer, plus services ended up being more than I anticipated. The offer was pay $50 & receive a $50 credit. The payment actually covers the service fee and then the price for the service was high. In the past, plumbers have simply replaced a small defective part in the tub spout; instead, they insisted I needed a new one for $150. Using the $50 credit brought it down to $100. While I was pleased w/the technician, I still felt the fees were too high. After already paying the service fee, with the discount, I expected the remaining charges to be @ $50...especially for such an extraordinarily simple job. I had planned to have them do another simple job at the same time, but the fee for that was crazy high, so I'm still looking for someone to do the other job. The tech had suggested they might discount the second job & promised to get back to me on that.To date, I have not heard anything.

Everything was great, did a fantastic job. Arrive on time, professional, no complaints.

I'm a "do-it-yourself" kind of guy and I spent 10+ hours snaking my kitchen sink drain only to come to a hard stop in the pipe that wouldn't budge. Darrin from Hosack conducted the call and listened to my inexperienced guesstimate on where the clog was and to hopefully save some money and time I decided to roll the dice and allow him to cut the pipe in that area where the snake stopped (luckily this is where the clog was so that saved $ on additional useless snaking in my case). Used a coupon running at the time on Angie's list for SC Hosack plumbing to help with the final bill, but would use them again without any coupon or special for certain! In short, Darrin was professional, courteous and even angled the piping differently that it was originally configured to assist in easier drainage in the future.

I had a problem with a garbage disposal in our basement rec area. I had worked with the problem and decided it needed a professional opinion. Saw an Angie's List Deal that provided $50 of plumbing service. Took the deal I had a call to schedule an appointment within 24 hours. We selected a date for service. The plumber showed up as expected was very courteous and pleasant. He took at look at the problem and confirmed I needed to replace the unit. He had one on the truck which eliminated a return call. Also offered inspection of other plumbing areas. We did take a look at the hot water heater as ours has some age on it. He gave me a price for that repair when required. Also told me the warning signs that replacement was nearing. I was very pleased with the professionalism of the plumber. I also appreciated the look at other items that could be addressed by preventative maintenance. When the need arises I would use them again.

I bought $49 deal for Plumbing service call Plus credit toward repairs for all the above mentioned services at my rental apartment. The shower head was provided by my tenant and the 1/2 HP Badger garbage disposal and toilet handle part were included in the plumbing service. I requested service on Sunday and the service appointment was promptly setup on Monday for Tuesday afternoon. At the time of service, the plumber looked at the work and gave me the quote over the phone which was for $478 (total came out to be $527 after adding $49 already paid towards the free service call and credit toward repairs). Plumber called me back in under two hours and reported that the work was complete. My tenant confirmed that the work was done to satisfaction. The price did not look great but overall I am happy to have got done the work done professionally and in good time.

Bret was thoroughly professional, clean and efficient. He provided information on things to watch out for and he fixed a couple of immediate problems without any trouble whatsoever. He showed us a book with set prices for certain jobs and maintenance schedules. This gives great transparency to pricing and looks a really good idea. Based on Bret's attitude and efficiency, I wouldn't hesitate to call SC Hosack Plumbing for any future work. They were excellent. Regards, David.

Excellent. He was on time, professional, got the work done quickly and charged me exactly what he had quoted me. He didn't leave until I had checked everything out and he made sure I was happy with my water pressure before he left.

Derek (not completely sure this was his name; left his card at home) came right on time first thing in the morning. I had told Steve Hosack on the phone that I may be a few minutes late since I was taking kids to school. He passed the message along and Derek was waiting patiently when I got there a few minutes after 8a.m. He searched for the shut-off valve for the sink, which there wasn't one, so ended up having to go outside to turn off the water for the house. He replaced the bad portion of the pipe and asked if I'd like him to install a shut-off under the sink for a very reasonable fee. I said yes. While he was there, I asked him to look at the plumbing in one of our showers as I am considering replacing some of the fixtures. He happily did that, giving me some pointers and good information about how to do it in the process. as well as a very reasonable estimate. I had a very positive experience with Hosack Plumbing. The young man who came to my house was very professional, courteous and helpful. They use a straightforward pricing system that is reasonable and transparent. I would recommend them and will use them again whenever I need plumbing work.
