+ -1 moreIntimately, I have clean tile. The original work wasn't great and when I complained on the follow up call there was a series of mix ups so it took two more visits before I ultimately had clean tile. I also felt I was being chastised for not forcefully telling the original crew that the tile didn't look clean. I can be mild mannered but I felt like I was originally led to believe the level of cleanliness produced was all the process could do. I think next time I'll just use a lot of soft scrub.

+ -1 moreTheir prices were just a little bit higher than everybody else's but I was just going by their reputation. Their service was great. They were professional, they explained everything that they were doing, they told me the cost and everything was acceptable. You pay for what you get.

+ -1 moreI don't care for Stanley Steemer - Saint Louis, MO anymore. They were good at one time, but then they changed. My experience was satisfactory. I found someone else who was much, much better. They're too expensive. It's overpriced.

+ -1 moreOverall the service was good but they kept trying to pile on 'extra' charges. I ended up paying an extra $100 for "protect" and declined everything else. They don't move a lot of furniture but they are efficient and professional.

Description of Work: Company came out when scheduled,cleaned and sealed kitchen and bathroom tile and grout. It came out looking like new--much better than I had expected. They also cleaned the carpet in two rooms. Service took about 2 hours. Very pleased with results.

We had to help to get them out of our driveway, but that was alright. They seemed to be very pleasant, straightforward, worked hard and friendly. They came out early.

Description of Work: I contacted Stanely Steemer because I recently registered for Angie's List. The gal that answered the phone was friendly and did her best to give me an estimate (I wasn't sure on the size of the room). I told her that I had a 10% coupon from Angie's List and she asked me for the number on the coupon. Well, there wasn't a number. She said without that she could not give me the discount but to ask the employee when he does the work. They arrived on time. My husband ended up moving all the furniture, etc. so it would make their job easier (even though the Stanley Steemer employee, Brian, said he would have done that). It ended up costing more than the estimate on the phone because he explained to me that since the carpets have never been cleaned (they are @6 years old), it would need to be treated because the cleaning process removes the chemical on the carpet to prevent stains (something to that effect). I went ahead and agreed to the other charges and they started working. They also added a deodorizer (because my dog has had some accidents on the carpet). A day after the service call, I went to the basement and noticed a huge dark spot where the trash can was (was not there before they cleaned). I immediately called them back. They showed up this morning on time (at no charge), and retreated that area. The two guys that did the work were friendly and professional. They also send me an email with the service call information, etc. I like that. Oh, I did get the 10% off!

+ -1 moreCalled Stanley Steemer because I had used them once before, they had done a good job, and I had a coupon from a mailing. An appointment was set-up for the following week. Was told they would come between 1:00 and 5:00 p.m. Two men arrived about 4:45, began immediately, and were finished in about an hour. I had removed the chairs form the diningroom, and most of the loose items and electronic items from the tables. They moved or worked around the other furniture. The men were friendly and worked quickly. I declined their offer for duct cleaning and to purchase a new welcome mat. A few days later the company called to ask if I was satisfied. (This was after a few failed attempts at contacting me.) I told them I though the job was good, but there were a couple of spots that could have been done better. They insisted they be allowed to re-clean the areas. I time was set-up, they came and tried again. I saw improvement in most of the problem areas.

We are completely satisfied with the results. We have had Stanley Steemer clean our carpets in the past, but this particular work crew was exceptional. We are very happy with the service performed and will use Stanley Steemer again for carpet cleaning.

+ 0 moreThe crew arrived during the time frame that was confirmed on the phone. We had scheduled to have almost all of the rooms in our home do e and the couch. They were very professional and were even great with my kids being there. They asked permission to park in the driveway and laid down tarps over our tiled entry way. We had horrible stains from my daughters getting into something red and they told me honestly that they weren't sure they could get them out - they did a test spot and were able to make it look a ton better. We ended up buying the deodorizer and protection for our high traffic areas. It's great knowing that my kids are playing on clean and sanitized carpet! I would definitely would recommend them.
Description of Work: Cleaned hallways, stairs, three bedrooms, living room, family room and sofa. Also has home deodorized and scotch guarded.
