We requested tile and Grout cleaning as you advertised. I will say Calvin was on time and very professional! I had totally refurbished this house for resell and all that was left was the floor cleaning of the tile and grout in 2 large rooms. I expected the grout to be cleaned of all grime and residue and the tile to be shiny when done? I had swept and mopped all areas previously, no furniture was on the floors when Calvin arrived. His first process was to spray all areas with a cleaner (smelled like rug shampoo), I questioned the type of cleaner, he assured me it was for “tile & grout”. Then Calvin used the spray nozzle with a semi-stiff brush and proceeded to vacuum and sweep the areas. I questioned if this would be enough to clean the areas. Anyway all areas were wet with soap so I really had no choice but to have him continue. After drying, he sprayed a sealer on all areas. So, this whole process took approximately 1&1/2 hours. While he was figuring the bill I pointed out a couple of small areas at our feet (looked like small rust stain) and demonstrated to Calvin how to clean these with a drop of dish soap and a scrubbing pad, they cleaned up with a few strokes and a wipe with a paper towel. Calvin then informed me that the marble floor was dull upstairs and he could give me a contact that would be able to polish? I had told him before he started that I expected clean and shiny when done by Stanley Steemer!

I was quoted $170 for the work to be done (remove sealer from tile & grout on small kitchen floor, clean tile & grout on a small bathroom floor & small foyer floor) when I phoned in for an appointment. Upon the techs arrival I was informed the price would be $524 because I had not informed them of the sealer being on the tile so they needed special equipment. NOT TRUE! The woman I spoke with I made my appointment assured me they removed sealer from the TILE and cleaned grout all the time without issue and they were able to do this because their steam was much hotter than the steam from my home steam machine. I think they saw an older woman by herself and thought they could pull a bait & switch or some kind of con! I made them leave my home, especially after their office manager intimated I was a liar and offered me a lousy discount off the $524.

My mother wanted her carpets cleaned for her birthday. So I scheduled Stanley Steamer for her. The carpet cleaner backed his running van/truck up to her garage with the exhaust blowing into the home and proceeded to clean her carpets. She stopped the cleaner from cleaning on two separate occasion's and advised him that it smelled like exhaust blowing into her home. He assured her it was just the machines he was using making that smell. He finished cleaning then left. My mother then fell ill & then her carbon monoxide detectors went off. She fearing for her life as she should called the fire department. The fire department came out aired her home out & told her she was lucky to be alive. She called Stanley Steamer and advised of the situation. The agreed to re-clean the home to remove the exhaust smell however refused to reimburse the cost because they said they ultimately completed the job. This company should be gracious my mother is a good wholesome person that is not out for money because she could have gone to the hospital and sued the living heck out of them for literally poisoning her. So before using them as a service just remember the will ultimately get the job done but may poison you to death in the process without a refund.

The technicians were very polite and prompt., however, the carpet was soaking wet when they left. When carpet was dry the stains were still there. They came back to work on stains the following week. The technician told me to get a box fan to dry the carpet which I did within the first 30 minutes after they left. When the stain dried i it was even more visible than before. They told me it was my fault on the phone and that they would not come back. I called another reputable local company and they were able to remove the stain on the first try. I will never use Stanley Steemer in the future.

WARNING. DO NOT USE STANLEY STEEMER CARPET CLEANING SERVICES. The service I received was horrible. I asked the person sent to preform the carpet cleaning to put on a mask. I asked him 4 times. He said he forgot. He was just ignored me in my own home. I reported him to a supervisor and she said she spoke to him and he said he forgot. I told her no he did not forget because I asked him 4 times. The work preformed was terrible.

Horrible! I will never use their service ever again. One of the technician of the Maryland Heights location came into my home and stole my gold, sapphire, diamond ring. He was jailed and held under bond. The local managers and owners were rude, inappropriate, and did not follow up appropriately. The carpet appears as if it were never cleaned. The corporate office was contacted on several occasions. When a final call was made and corporate office was contacted I was told that they didn't know why they didn't contact me. Every time I see their commercial on tv I just shake my head and think about how that technician stole instead of working...and how I was treated. WILL NEVER USE OR REFER STANLEY STEEMER!

The service was efficient, they did a good job. They came and did the work and we could actually hear the sound of debris being sucked out of the air ducts. The price was a little high, would shop around for other providers with a lower cost.

Bad and dishonest business practices - stay away! The cleaning itself was fine - the carpet made the house smell like a wet dog for a week, but it was fine after being vacuumed a few times. The worst part was the bait and switch - we had originally priced out for 5 rooms to be cleaned, with deodorizer in one. The rep came in and offered us deodorizer in all rooms, stating, "I'll do it for only $20 more." When the work was done, we get a bill for $80 more than originally priced. When pushed, he said, "I meant $20 per room." Not only is that absolutely zero discount from their normal price, but it was incredibly dishonest in its presentation. Despite our protests, he was firm on the price, and we ended up spending way more than we wanted to on this carpet cleaning. Never again.

It went well. The spots came up. The guys were fast and efficient. My only difficulty was a language problem with the person who took my order on the phone, which meant I never got the email confirmation to review the work order, so some things I didn't ask for got done. The major one I had issue with was immediately removed from the invoice by the team leader at the house. My recommendations to the company would be to have the team leader go over the order upon arrival--it never hurts to double-check. A walk-through pointing and telling doesn't suffice. Thus, the bill was about $100 more than I'd anticipated.

Usually I use them every four to five months. In fact I'll be getting my carpet cleaned in the next two weeks, so I'll be calling them again probably. They responded to my request promptly; meaning I didn't have to wait a long time for an appointment. They were on time. They thoroughly explained everything that was going to be happening, did a good job, and asked if I was satisfied at the end.

They seem to do the best job of cleaning our carpets, quality work.

We were cleaning our house up to sell it. They cleaned 4 or 5 rooms. They had good equipment and did a good job.

They did a really good job. It took them about 45 minutes to complete the work.

By the time they got all the add on's in it was a lot more than that.

First attempt they showed up with the wrong tool so it was rescheduled for another day. 2nd attempt they came to clean with"'new tool". When completed, there was no sign of any improvement to the title or grout. Obviously they didn't have the right equipment to perform the work. We had the tub sprayed by another company just a couple weeks from the time they attempted to clean tile. We noticed a scratch in the paint that was not previously there. The home was vacant.

I have been pleased with that. They have moved all the furniture that needed to be moved. They say that it would be wet. They said to turn on the air conditioning to help dry it out. I went out for an walk. I still had an dog at the time, and we stayed out for a while. The kitchen does not have a rug, and I kept him in the kitchen, until that rug dried.

They did leave a mess in my drive-way and messed up my concrete. Two persons came and it took them about two hours. They could have did well at disposing whatever they took out of the carpet.

They get the carpet clean and I can always get a bargain.

It went great! The carpets look great. There was no residual odor from any cleaning chemicals and the carpet was dry that night. There were no surprises and the work was done quickly.

They showed up 15 minutes into the four hour time frame they gave me. I thought that we were getting off to a great start. I was wrong. The two men that they sent saw "two elderly women, one in a wheelchair" and decided immediately to take advantage of us. They were rude, arrogant and totally dishonest. They claimed that the floor - three years old - should have been cleaned at least a decade ago. They solution was to strip the wood down by sanding all the wax and finish that had been built up on the floor. They would then do a deep cleaning and finally reapply a polish to the top. They claimed that the floor had layers and layers of wax built up on it because I had been using the wrong cleaner. They asked what brand I was using and I saw an ad for Bona in the stack of coupons I had laying there. In reality I had never used Bona. They went on to inform me that they highly recommend that I immediately throw away any left over Bona. They were according to them known industry wide for being almost 100% wax instead of a cleaner. They lifted up my sofa, poured water all over the floor and claimed that this proved there was a decades long build up. They set the sofa down without wiping the water up or showing me the results. I asked them to leave and they refused. I threatened to call the police and they left. Before they left my driveway I received a phone call from their office by a very irate employee who couldn't understand why I asked their employees to leave. They were not the least upset about the scam they tried to pull

They showed up at the beginning of the four hour time frame which thrilled me. Unfortunately that great feeling only lasted a few minutes. Their first complaint was that they considered my entry way to be a hallway and the 3 foot square section going into a bathroom to be a second hallway - there fore more cost. They then told me that my area was much bigger than the three rooms that I had on my estimate. It is an open floor plan but there are clearly defined areas consisting of a kitchen, living room and office area. None of their promotional material gave room size limits and my areas are not larger than an average home would be. They made it very clear that they thought the job was much bigger than what I had indicated and went outside a couple of times before they ever got started on any of the paperwork. They came back in and wanted to know what brand of floor it was. I truly don't know. It was in the home when I purchased it new. AFter that discussion, they then informed me without really looking at the floor that I had a wax build-up and they could not do the job because they did not have a buffer. They also mentioned that there were several large gouges in the floor but were unable to show them to me because they then went back to the wax buildup situation. The floor is only two years old and has never had anything with wax in it put on the floor. They asked for a small pitcher of water, raised up my sofa, poured water on the floor, informed me without showing me the results, that there was extensive amounts of wax under the sofa. They did not wipe the water up - I did after they left. They told me that they could call someone but there would be a charge for buffing the floor. They then started talking between the two of them that neither had ever buffed a hardwood floor before but doubted it would be difficult. I informed them that I would reschedule the cleaning with another company. Within a few moments I received the first of three phone calls from their office. The first asked me in a very rude manner why I had kicked their crew out of my home. When I informed her that they did not have the equipment and had indicated to me that they did not know how to buffer I floor I was told that it was my fault for scheduling the appointment online. I took a day off work to get this done and have now had to reschedule it on a day that I will not be able to be there although there will be someone home that day. I will never use them again. At no time did I receive any type of apology for the fact that they came unprepared. I have since had another company come and look at the floor and they do not see any sign of a wax buildup. My gut feeling is that they either didn't want to the actual work and were looking for a way out or they saw a senior citizen who they thought they could gouge for additional money because I wouldn't know any better.

It was so/so. They were very responsive.

I was very dissatisfied with their job. They were polite but I just thought they did a bad job on the carpet. I was unhappy with them. I would never use them again. They didn't get the stains out at all. They came out when I called them, but I just wasn't happy with it. I was dissatisfied with the type of job that they did.

Prompt, punctual, thorough and careful. Asked owner to check each area when finished to be certain that all problem areas had been addressed. Be sure to ask for RUSSELL.
