Description of Work: They verbally quoted a price of $350. They completed the work while I was out of town. They did an awesome job. I received a call indicating the price had increased to $450. Lesson learned: Get a quote in writing, they are not honest people.

Description of Work: Talked To JD On The Phone He sent His Son Out To Measure Then Nothing/ Contacted JD Again He Him-hawed Around About Being Busy But He Would Get Something To Me And Once Again NOTHING. If He Didn't Want To Do The Job Just Say So Instead Of Blowing It Off.

Description of Work: We requested them to come give us a bid to have the mortar repaired on our fireplace. The man told us he could not charge us the minimum because the repair would be so small, he estimated around $50.00; but would check with his boss. He called back the next day and said that they might have to have someone come out and check for mold and other damages and the charge would be $350.00. I felt they were extremely unprofessional and had no problem charging for things that did not need to be done. Would definitely not recommend this company.

+ 0 moreThe job went very well from beginning to end; we are extremely pleased with the finished product. JD started when he said he would, did it for the price that was quoted. My wife and I were concerned about color of the new brick and grout matching the old 25 year old brick installation. JD went the extra mile by dropping off sample bricks to compare against our existing brick and mixed several samples of grout to find the right combination. The job looks great! We would recommend Sonrise Masonry to anyone requiring a mason. We would use them again.
Description of Work: Demo, haul away and rebuilt the brick panels under 2 rollout casement windows. Tuck point cracked areas and replace broken brick at front of house. ADD; aprox 25 ft of 2 '' angle iron @ brick ledge Grind & tuck point around windows and doors Recrown chimney / replace broken brick.

+ 0 moreI have had issues with my block foundation for years with cracks and bowing. I was referred to JD from Andrew Vleisides from Spartan Foundations. JD came out within the week to give me 2 estimates one to patch the problem wall, the other to do a total removal and placement of new blocks with exterior SurCoat. I opted to have him do a complete redo of one wall and part of another wall.. It meant that my home was lifted and "open" but I was confident the results would be what was necessary. The job went in steps and was very labor intensive. He is such a hard worker and did the job totally from start to finish with just the help of one other man. JD is excellent at his craft. The completed walls are beautiful. I could not be happier and am 100% satisfied. I would definitely recommend him to anyone needing an excellent mason. I was so lucky to have gotten the referral from Andrew.

+ -1 moreSonrise was very reliable and prompt. Communication was fast and easy. Quotes were given quickly and were reasonable. J.D., the mason, was a very hard, focused worker and always pleasant.
Description of Work: We have a fireplace insert that was drywall above the mantle and white tile under the mantle and around the fireplace insert.. Sonrise masonry removed the tile and replaced it and the drywall with stone from floor to ceiling. It was done beautifully and we are very pleased with the work and the mason.

+ -1 moreThe efficiency was achieved from his experience. He ground out the loose grout first and used a pastry type bag to put in the new grout. Was also careful to make a close match to existing grout. Pleasantly surprised at the expediency of the finish. Of course he cleaned up thoroughly afterwards. A true pleasure to do business with. This work done in preparation of selling the KS house. Inspection showed absolutely no issues with brick or work done. The house sold quickly and now reside in CO.
Description of Work: Did tuck point on a brick veneer home as well as reconstruct a small portion of wall near sliding glass door that had become damaged. Efficient, quality work done in two fairly long days. (The tuck point had not been addressed in over 15 years). Extremely pleased with results and entire experience!!
