Juan Mata Drywall

Juan got back to my initial inquiry quickly. He came out to measure everything out and got us a bid the next day. The price was very reasonable. We were blown away by how quickly they hung the sheetrock and mudded and taped everything. The job was done a very timely manner and the finished product was fantastic! We have more of the basement to finish in the summer and will be definitely be using Juan and his crew again! Thanks Juan!

Juan showed up and completed the work as promised. I am very happy with the work and it looks great. You can't even tell where he patched.

Juan and his crew were hired by our contractor but because we were on site during construction, we had a lot of dealings with him and his crew. Juan is a very personable man who listened to our concerns, explained the process, and came to make it 100%. The guys worked efficiently to get the job done and Juan would send his guys back when imperfections were identified. The core work was done in the late summer of 2013 but in late Feb 14, he had to return to repair areas where we had water from ice damming after the big snow fall. He returned with a smile on his face. I would recommend Juan to anyone needing new installation, repairs, or laminate over failing plaster. We just loved his crew and working with him. He's committed, efficient, and the work is high quality. The reason I didn't include the total price is because the price was wrapped up in our project, which was a major addition.

He was excellent. He was very good to work with and he told me how much it would cost. He was flexible with my work schedule. He had a fair price for the excellent work that he did. He was just an all-around good contractor. I have referred him to a couple of friends and they have used him.

It went fine. I want to do away with popcorn ceiling and went back to the knockdown. They wrapped the wall.

He was great. Punctual and professional and everything looks perfect. Price was more than fair. I've hired him to do another job for me this spring.

Went very well. Had to move furniture and covered everything. They did well with minimizing the dust and track through. They did excellent job cleaning up and putting everything back. Now going to have ductwork cleaned if I hear back from your provider by 2/10/14. Charges have already hit my credit card and nothing done yet!!!

The repair process went quite well. Juan is a skilled professional and a very pleasant person to work with. He scraped, mudded, and retextured the knockdown ceiling area that was damaged. He then returned the next day to repaint the ceiling. Juan does good work, but more important is the fact that Juan stays on the job until his customer is completely satisfied. Because we were not 100% satisfied (more like 80%) with his first effort, Juan came back and reworked the entire area then returned again the next day to prime and paint the ceiling. We are absolutely 100% satisfied with the work Juan did, are going to have him bid on some other repair projects we have, and would highly recommend him, without reservation, to anyone in need of drywall work.

Juan was quick to respond to our inquiry. We adapted our original plan and he accommodated that change without an issue. His work was beyond our expectations.

Juan was very accommodating on meeting me at the house the review my bathroom. He was right on time for our appointment and explained all the steps he had to go through to complete the job, which was way more than what I had anticipated. His estimate was also higher that what I had budgeted for, so I ended up doing all the work myself. No fault of Juan, I think I would've hired him under a different situation.

Like I said, this is the second time we used Juan and it went awesome once again. He and his crew did a fantastic job and I was so happy that the end result matched our other rooms. We completely underestimated the kind of mess removing a popcorn ceiling is and we are so incredibly thankful that he and his crew were concerned about keeping everything clean and making sure to tape everything down. They sealed off our entire living room from the rest of the house and had plastic covering every inch so all the dust and drywall waste was isolated to our living room. Once they were done, they found my vacuum and even vacuumed up our living room carpet. Now our problem is we want him to come back for future jobs! In our past we've hired contractors for various projects in our last home and unfortunately we've had some very bad experiences. So when we found Juan and his crew who are dependable, clean, do what they say they will, show up on time and call if they're running late- we place a lot of value on that.

I removed some wall paper that had been on the walls for over 40 years. In doing it, I ruined the sheet rock. Juan and his crew came in and had it looking good as new in no time at all. He was quick to respond to my initial call, arrived when he stated, returned promptly to do the work and finished the project as quickly as was possible. I will be using him for future work.

Juan jumped through hoops to get the work done quickly (about 8 hours) because I had carpet cleaners coming in right after him. He and his men (George and Able) did excellent work, it is all but impossible to see where the holes were, even in the knock-down ceiling. These guys are drywall artists! They were very professional and polite. They put down paper and plastic on all of the floors and built plastic "rooms" when they were spraying. They cleaned up after themselves and left my house looking great. When Juan gave me the invoice it was actually less than his estimate! When have you ever seen that before? He even left me some extra drywall when he left to put up in some unfinished areas of my basement. Juan and his people are very good at what they do and I highly recommend them for any drywall work you need done! I also understand that he does siding and other outside work, I have no first-hand knowledge of his work in this area but based on how well he did my drywall, I wouldn't hesitate to give him a try on that either.

We had some major drywall cracks as a result of the house settling on one end. In addition, our downstairs area acoustic ceilings were in horrible shape with ugly amature patches in other areas. The were able to do an excellent job matching two types of knockdown texture in a large area so that it perfectly matches. You would never know there had been such bad cracks in either area. They took a lot of care to put plastic up and kept everything clean. Juan even offered to paint the areas he covered and it wasn't on the quote! He also gave me some advise about matching a paint color in our living room. We would definitely use Juan again.

I read the reviews of Mr. Mata on Angie's List and called him to come help with the drywall on a new bath I am putting in my basement. I spoke to him the day before he was to come to give me a bid and he said he would be at my house at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. I left work early so I could meet with him and he didn't show up. I called him at 4:15 to find out whether he had been detained and the call went directly to his voice mail. I called about a half hour later and again, the call went directly to voice mail. I left him two messages and he never returned my call. I guess he did me a favor because I sure don't want to deal with someone who doesn't show up when they say they will and who won't return a phone call.

Juan is very personable and quickly repaired my drywall issues and touched up my ceiling paint. I also had him paint my kitchen walls and family room walls. Clean, quick, and very competitively priced!

Removed popcorn in area to be repaired. Completed repair & replaced popcorn coating with a match to the rest & cleaned up area. Also used plastic and paper on doorways & floor to localize the dust and dirt .

Juan came out immediately and gave a good straightforward bid. He was a little slow to get back to us after the initial bid, so we were not sure he wanted the job. Eventually, we heard back, and he came out and did a great job.

From quote to finish Juan and his team were professional and did an excellent job. They cleaned up each day and left the place as they had found it. Top notch company.

You couldn't even tell that there was a repair that needed to me made after he finished. He provided great quality of work and arrived on time. He did a good job!

That was kind of funny. We hired him for the drywall and the paint damage sustained by the basement leakage and he did a fantastic job with the drywall and with part of the paint job. He was give two paint jobs, one was simple paint job of painting four walls, the ceiling and the closet of the bedroom and he did a great job with that. The second job was, I wanted a Faux finish, where there are textures and movement to the paint and you have to get certain paint. So we asked him to do that and he said he was fine with that but it turned out, he did not know how to do it. He didn’t disclose in the beginning that he didn’t know how to do it and said it would be fine but it was not a professional job. My husband text-ed me a picture of the final work and I said no way, I could have done that! My husband had to go to Lowe’s, had to buy the materials, had to learn from Lowe’s people how to do and had to do it himself. They did not charge for the second paint job, it was all put into one cost, so that was nice but it would have been good if my husband did not have to redo it. My husband doesn’t have time to do this, which is why we wired them. So he was good at what he does but he needs to tell his customers what he cannot do and be upfront instead of pretending like he could do something that he did not.

Juan and his team do great work. We had the nasty florescent lighting fixtures in our kitchen torn out and replaced with can lights so I needed someone who could not only replace the ceiling drywall but also match the texture. I am beyond happy! You can't even tell where the old meets the new on the ceiling. He's so good he even told me what paint to buy to match up and it was perfect. Hire him. You won't be sorry!

He did a perfect job. He is almost finished. We thought it would take 2 weeks, but it has only taken two days.
