Juan Mata Drywall

Juan and his crew showed up right on time spent the day and we are very happy with the results.

We had removed wallpaper in our dining room and kitchen leaving the walls very damaged, no where near ready for paint. Juan came in with an excellent quote (lowest of three), and skim coat the entire area in two days. The finished walls looked brand new and perfectly smooth. Excellent work!

They are an absolutely great company. Their prices were more than fair and they did some work that wasn't include in the price. Juan is joy. He always had a smile and his crew was excellent. I must say to be prepared to wait for him to start the job as he is so booked and gives so much of himself to the job that he can tend to get a little behind. Saying that though, his work is excellent and well worth the wait. I already have more for him to give me a bid on. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone. .

Juan did give me a call back as soon as I contacted him but it did take awhile to get the work scheduled. Once we got the work scheduled, Juan and his crew were on time and professional. he does excellent work and is very clean. This was a small job.

This was a very large job for us and the first major renovation we completed on our new home. After interviewing 5 providers for the service we decided on Juan and his team. They have a reasonable price for the job and based on the detail of Juan's description I quickly knew that he was the man for the job. As others have mentioned, his company is very busy but they do quality work without the need for supervision. Our project took nearly 3 weeks to complete but the ceilings look wonderful and any old marks were cleaned up very well. There was a small problem during the job and Juan was very quick to make good on the issue which is a testament to the companies integrity. I would gladly do business with Juan Matta in the future. Lastly, when the project was complete Juan came over to the home and cleaned up everything. Throughout the whole project Juan was very professional.

Juan's team is very busy but once they start they do quality work. All very nice and like to please you per your requirements. Do good job containing dust and cleaning up when complete. Highly recommended and reasonable price for services. Already planning on new project with them.

I received bids from several companies. Juan was not the cheapest but I felt most comfortable with him and his approach. His guys arrived promptly at 8:30am and had the first day's work done in about 3hrs. They came back the second day and put in another 3hrs or so doing final touch ups, sanding and clean up. We did end up with a few small issues and Juan was quick to take care of them and open to whatever I needed to do to be satisfied. For those reading this you might be interested to know that Juan used 5 minute mud on my job. This drastically cuts down on the amount of time. I had one company tell me it'd take them 30 man hours and it took Juan's guys less than half that.

Juan (and team) are life savers! We are planning to move into our new house in just days, when we had a bathroom leak that ending up coming through our living room ceiling. I called Juan first thing in the morning, told him the situation and he was out that afternoon to take a look. He had several large projects in his schedule but was able to fit our job in between them since it was smaller, the next day! I would recommend them to anyone needing work done and plan to use them again if the need comes up. Thank you!!

Juan tapped and then mudded and then sanded a 800 sq ft basement. Every wall was perfectly straight and did not have one flaw. He also did a knock down ceiling and that looks amazing. Juan is very good at cleaning up and was in and out. In fact I am bringing him back to do our master bath. Great job Juan!!!

This is the second time we hired Juan Mata for ceiling work, because we were very pleased with his work the first time. He fixed aging ceiling panels and reattached them where they were loose. He also redid corners to make them look sharper, and the result looks great. He works with a crew and they are fast and efficient but also careful to do a beautiful job. They had to use scaffolding to reach parts of the ceiling but they were careful not to make any damage to the floors or walls. Juan is responsive to questions.

Juan came out Monday afternoon for an estimate. He was able to fit me in on Tuesday because of a tight schedule for me. He and his crew for right to work on Tuesday at noon. They were there for about 4 hours and did a fantastic job. They used quick setting mud so they were done in one day not 3! I would recommend them to anyone needing drywall work. Maybe give him more notice than I did though.

Juan was late for the estimate meeting at my home and was not always punctual. However, the work done was amazing. Juan and his partner George did an outstanding job on all repairs. Especially impressive was matching the existing knockdown texture on the ceiling. Juan is personable and works fast. But most importantly, he is a real craftsman who loves his work and knows drywall in and out. I highly recommend his work.

Juan and his crew was very professional; work was well executed; everything was kept very clean; and walls/ceilings look nice.

We (Juan & us) had a difficult time fitting our job into his very very busy schedule....when finally a date/time was made, he and his crew were prompt arriving and no messing around wasting time. we recently had a heavy snow and Juan and his crew had to shovel a path to our walkout basement. they did much better work than the company that dry walled our house when we had it built 15 years ago. they did a good job on the knock down ceiling, taping, sanding, etc. I plan on using them when l am ready to finish the rest of the basement.

This company is probably the best company I have ever worked with. I am a contractor but chose to have a company finish the drywall in the basement for me as I did not have the time to do so. After extensive research, I contacted Juan Mata Drywall to obtain an estimate. Juan will actually answer the phone (which is incredible considering how busy he is) and will probably be the one of the nicest, most professional contractors you will work with. The price was great and the work speaks for itself. I have been remodeling for almost a decade now and have seen the work of many drywall companies, but Mr. Mata and his laborers do the best work hands-down. I was impressed with the cleanliness and attention to detail as well as the quickness of the job itself. You would be crazy to go with another company for your drywall needs. Got several estimates and had someone else do the work. During the visit, I offered him my flashlight to check out the drywall behind the bath tub faucet. I forgot to ask for the flashlight back and he must have taken it with him because I have''t seen it since. I left a message on his voice mail regarding the flashlight and have had no reply. I don't think people need to broadcast their religion. I know what kind of people they are by the way they act and the work they do. The moving company I used hyped up their missionary work and I was not at all impressed with their work and would not use or recommend them.

called and he showed up - inspected it and gave us a price we could live with. came day 1 and taped/mudded the walls. came back next day and sanded smooth. had a complaint when he finished and fixed it--a little more clean up was all. nice guy--gave advice on my painting and doings in the bathroom as well. would have left this at the time but membership expired and couldn't get back in.

We got as far as hanging drywall in the basement office we were finishing but quickly realized we were not talented enough to go any further. He responded to our call right away and was able to come to do the work the very next week. He was dedicated to finishing the job and even stayed late one night to complete. We are extremely happy with his work and would highly recommend him to others. We will definitely use him in the future. Thanks Juan the room looks GREAT!

Talked to contractor 6 months ago and was advised to wait six months after having piers placed under house.Contacted him and set up a appointment. He was late for appointment so called him and asked if he was coming. He stated he would be here in about a hour. Two hours later I gave up and ate dinner. He never called with a explanation or apology. Must not need the work.
