Juan Mata Drywall

Juan Mata showed up on the agreed upon day and he and his crew worked steadily until completion day which was exactly how long he said it woukd take and for the agreed upon price! I am extremely happy with this project!

The one word I would use to describe my experience with Juan Mata Drywall is ?AWESOME?. Juan?s team did an awesome job from start to finish. The quality of workmanship was outstanding, and I cannot even begin to list all of the little unexpected things that they did to make the project complete, and us happy. The crew was friendly and always cleaned up after themselves, and they did their best to keep the mess to the rooms that were being worked on. Communication was excellent and I always had quick answers to any questions. I could go on, but you get the picture, this company receives my highest recommendation.

Juan and his staff were punctual, extremely respectfuln and very thorough in there cleanup each day.

They arrived on time and did a fantastic job. Covered up the floor from the front door to the room where the work took place. They cleaned up after the job was completed. They put 3 coats of 'mud' in the late afternoon and came over the first thing in the morning to finish the work. It looks very nice.

I've used Juan Mata Drywall and I've been very happy with him. He was on time and did a great job. He's just pleasant to work with and he does good work at a reasonable rate.

We remodeled our outdated living room and took down the old wall and ceiling materials as part of the project. We used Juan to hang, tape and mud all of the drywall for the walls, ceiling and stairways. The initial estimate was done before we actually started the project. As I proceeded with the remodel, I expanded some of the areas that needed drywall. Juan was able to include these areas as a minimal additional cost for our initial bid. Additionally, I finished my part of the project earlier than anticipated and Juan was able to adjust his schedule to get us in early! I would use Juan's services again.

Unfortunately, it didn't. Initially responsive and answered call the first day to come out later that afternoon between jobs for estimate. Did not show. Texted that he would be out the next day and that was fine. however, no show. I texted back to indicate we were still interested in getting a bid and no response since then. While I do understand this is a peak time for drywallers/painters due to the dry season, I'd rather just get an upfront "sorry, we can't get to you for sometime due to larger work" or something than just hear nothing. We since found another company that performed the work.

Juan was quick to respond, setting up an estimate quickly Juan and his crew did an excellent job skim-coating my half bath. The walls were covered in holes, and even a couple big patches....Now they look like new. Professional, clean, and they do great work! I will definitely use again!

After research on Angie's List, I felt that Juan Mata Drywall was a perfect fit for my project. All the great reviews! I called him last Tuesday and he answered the phone. He said he would either stop by that afternoon after a job, or sometime on Wednesday. I called back on Wednesday and left a message asking if he was still coming to give me an estimate. He never replied and he never showed up. He has also not responded to email. This is unacceptable customer service and as great as he may be, he gets F's for responsiveness and professionalism. UPDATE: Based on the fact that Juan took the time to respond to the review and offer to make things right, I am upgrading professionalism to an "A" and responsiveness to a "C". Thank you Juan!

Juan responded immediately to my initial call and came within a day or two to provide what was a very reasonable estimate. There was some delay in his getting to my job due to his extremely busy schedule, but once he started he finished the three stages of the work within two consecutive days. I was amazed and so appreciative of the beautiful preparation work he does to protect the room he is working in and of the great care he gives to every detail in the project. It was clear to me throughout this experience that Juan takes great pride in his work, and rightfully so. He did a beautiful job. He is delightful to visit with and professional in every way. I recommend him highly and would definitely use him again.

We had hung the drywall and started the taping. We hired Mr Mata to finish it off for us. Despite our beginner attempt at finishing it he took over without a blink and finished it up for us. It looks fabulous.

Juan's crew repaired my kitchen ceiling from a water leak in an upstairs bath. They removed the damaged ceiling area and replaced with new drywall, applied the popcorn and then matched it perfectly to the existing breakdown. Entire ceiling was re-painted. They also repaired the popcorn ceiling in the garage and replaced some drywall. Juan was able to perform the work as quickly as needed and the area looks great!

Great experience from start to finish. Juan explained all the issues with my ceiling and had the solution. The crew showed up per schedule, worked efficiently and professionally.Quality work and no surprises!I highly recommend Juan and will use him again.

They showed up on time and finished very quickly. Cleaned up very well. Very friendly person. Will be having him for the next job.

When he started the job he put up plastic to keep dust from getting into the bedrooms. He took it down when he left (his helper who did all the work did anyway). Then when he sanded he didn't put up the plastic and I am still cleaning up dust. Other than that, they were very clean - removing all their trash and sweeping up the dust with a broom. Again, I am picky when it comes to clean. Overall they did a great job and I would recommend them.

The job was accomplished on time and the results exactly as we had requested. My husband was home for the first "mudding" day but we were working on subsequent days and trusted Juan with access to the basement unsupervised. When his work was finished he even took down the barrier gate to the house so our German Shepard could get out to the back yard through the doggie door in the hall to the basement! Prompt, efficient and merits trust!

I called Juan for an estimate and he showed up the same day, on time, to give me a quote. He gave me a quote on the spot, and followed up through e-mail with his estimate. It was extremely important that Juan completed the work on time or our entire remodel schedule would be off. Juan showed up on time, and performed the work meticulously. On schedule! This was a very big, messy project and I was pleasantly surprised how contained Juan was able to keep the

Juan was prompt and understood my small job, and conveyed confidence, that despite the 20 foot horizontal seem, he puts quality into his work and would make it look new. Indeed, he did make it look new, including mudding, priming, painting, replacing the moldings. its like a whole new space! He kept the work area closed off with plastic and kept his work area clean. We're very pleased and recommend him for drywall projects of any size.

I have been moving walls and replacing paneling. I had all the sheet rock up and some of it mudded and taped. I was planning on hiring out the ceiling with a knockdown texture and decided to see what it would cost for a pro to finish the mud and tape, and to fix what I had done so far. The ceiling had old drywall meeting new drywall, so the seams weren't completely even. I also had several old light fixture holes to patch. I wanted to make sure the ceiling from living room, to dining room, to kitchen was perfect. It is one continuous surface and needed to be perfect. Juan came quickly and gave me a great price. They came the following Monday and covered the carpet and even the subfloor (where I am going to put in new tile) with plastic. The job was done in just a couple days. It looks fantastic. I was very comfortable leaving a key for his crew. I will never do mud and tape again. Doing the walls properly probably would have taken me who knows how many hours. Probably at least a month of weekends and evenings and an unmeasurable amount of frustration. He knocked it out, and it was money well spent. I have started priming and painting. The walls look GREAT. As does the ceiling. Thanks Juan. We will call again when the new addition is ready for your skills.

Juan and his crew were all professional and very courteous. Juan was around for the majority of the project and if he wasn't the crew present were great. Juan would answer his phone anytime we called. Wow what a great crew. I would use them in a heartbeat.

About two years ago, due to some water damage, my husband removed a few areas of drywall on the soffits, in the ceiling of the garage, and a small area of drywall on the wall adjoining one of the soffits, to dry out the areas. After a couple of weeks, he replaced the damaged drywall but did not know how to add the corner beading, mud and acoustic ceiling spray. Didn't think it could be matched up with the existing areas of the ceiling. So about two years later I located Juan Mata's Drywall company on Angie's List and bingo, problem solved. Great! He was so responsive and helpful and they did a perfect match-up and it looks brand new! What a relief! Juan is very personable, professional and positive and full of energy! The job is done and it looks great!! Also, they did the mudding and smoothing over the adjacent area of wall, where my husband had replaced a small area of drywall, and Juan did not even charge us extra for it. It needed mudding and smoothing and we hadn't even discussed it with Juan prior to the job. He just took care of it and didn't even have to. Wow! Who ever does that? What a blessing! Thank you!

Very professional - very clean - timely - friendly. Did what he said and the job turned out perfect. Wewould definitely hire him again for future projects.

I first called Juan to do a mud and tape job on my new bathroom. He did an excellent job. I also had him paint the bathroom. I was extremely pleased, so I kept him working for a while!! He completely mudded/skimmed a large master suite - removing all texture from the walls and ceilings and painted that room. It turned out beautiful!!! He also installed new fixtures that I had purchased, ceiling fan and lights, without me even asking him to! Juan pulled up the old carpet in that room, and leveled the floor (it's an old house) in preparation for new carpet that was being installed. He and his worker did such a great job, I feel like my new master suite is a beautiful hotel room!. The bathroom remodel that I had done included the whole bathroom being replumbed, which left exposed plumbing in a downstairs bedroom. Juan built a soffit around the plumbing, sheet rocked that bedroom ceiling and repaired a plaster wall that they had to tear out when they replumbed. Last but not least, Juan built shelves/organizer for the closet in the master suite. I can't say enough good things about Juan Mata. My daughter and I felt so comfortable with him. If I ever need any other similar work done, I will definitely call Juan!! I highly recommend his company!

I had cracking in the drywall in the ceiling of a hallway. Another contractor gave me kind of a doom and gloom estimate, but Juan assured me that he would fix it well and also blend in the repair with the rest of the ceiling. He did exactly what he promised.

He was good and he communicated well. He did everything that he said he would do. He cleaned up afterwards. His price seemed competitive. He was very friendly and professional.
