Description of Work: My water pressure was becoming lower and lower. Bill with B&L Plumbing came, diagnosed the problem, explained everything wrong and what needed to be done and repaired/replaced and now my water pressure is excellent. I would recommend B&L to anyone who needs a plumber. I am very pleased with the service received. B&L will be my plumber from now on

Description of Work: I asked them to check the hot water heater for replacement. They looked at it from the doorway and said the insurance would not cover it because it was not leaking. They never did a bucket test. Instead, they said I needed to tear out the tile in my wall so they could replace the mixing valve in the tub. The hot water tank had to be replaced in June, when I realized I had no hot water in any faucet.I still have a hole in the tile which needs to be replaced before the faucet can be put together again.

Description of Work: American Home Shield assigned B & L Plumbing when I called because my water heater was leaking. I could not be there when the guy arrived, but my step-son agreed to be home. My step son's first language is Korean. The technician was rude to my step son. I called B & L Plumbing to complain and got no satisfaction. I called AHS and asked for another company, but they said I had no choice. I had to stay with the first company. I called B & L back and requested a new technician be assigned to my service. They refused. The first technician must stay on the case. I was shocked by their cavalier attitude attitude to a customer. I had literally NEVER had that experience before to customer. If anything like that had happened in the past, the company immediately replaced the rude technician. Not B and L. Then came my next shock. I called AHS. I told them what had happened and asked that a different plumbing service be assigned. AHS said that was against their policy! No matter what, you must stay with the original company. Again I was absolutely amazed at the belligerence both from B and L Plumbing. Just the mention of displeasure in literally every company I had previously dealt with would never have treated a customer like AHS treated my through sheer willpower. Then the company told me that they were going to replace a certain model that they had determined wsa the one I could could have b and L plumbing changed. Once they make the call for.

Description of Work: Offered advice, guidance on how to quiet a whistling noise in the plumbing. Extremely helpful in helping us understand what is could be and also could not be. No charge for this service call.

Description of Work: They did the job quickly and professionally, with minimal mess left behind. When it was pointed out that they had left something covered and inaccessible, they came right out and corrected the issue without a problem. Office folks were very efficient, friendly and responsive. They helped us work through complications with the very difficult warranty provider.

Description of Work: B&L is the company that American Home Shield uses for their home warranty service. I requested that AHS not send B&L anymore. When they kept sending B&L, I dropped AHS warranty. I last used them sometime in August or September of 2013. B&L was frequently slow to respond to service request and lied one time to AHS when I mad a complaint. The service people and the dispatchers were not as professional or as friendly as other plumbing companies I have used. B&L was sent to my home three or four times before I dropped AHS warranty. They often refused to fix things, claiming they were ok when they were not. The disposal they put in is very noisy. When I coplained, they insisted it was normal. It makes at least twice as much noise as the prior disposal before it died. I have a leaky shut off valve in the basement that they insisted is ok. It is not normal for the shutoff valve to spray out water when you turn it on and off.

Description of Work: Snaked a drain, punctured it leaving me w no indoor plumbing. Needed new sewer line BUT wouldn't be able to do it for 5 days!!! Also, although I needed an entirely new sewer line, they were only going to do a spot repair whereby I would need another repair soon. I called another co (Jays Plumbing)...they fixed it the next day (entire sewer line, which was needed), and did a great job. B&L also tracked mud into my house, dirt on the door, and left raw sewage in my basement.

Description of Work: This plumber was sent out by my warranty company. My pipes in my laundry area had frozen and burst. The service was not covered by my warranty company, which was not the plubers fault. However when we were discussing if the warranty company would approve the service call, he informed me he did not have the same size pipe that was in my house on his truck. I asked what that would mean if it was approved to be fixed. He said he would have to leave and get the proper size of pipe. When the warranty company came back and said the service would not be covered all of the sudden the plumber refused to actually fix the two small places that my pipes had burst (work I had had done in previous years for less than $100). I stead he quoted me $450 to completely redo the plumbing line in my laudnry area. The plumbing line was not causing me any problems. It had not caused the issue I was having nor was it causing me any problems. But he would not fix my problem without redoing the entire line. When I asked why I was simply told because it had ot been done right. My house was built in the 1950's, this line has been in place and functioning fine all that time. So essentially if the warranty company had covered the repair, he would have done a shoddy job with the original size of pipe. But since they weren't going to cover it he would only do the work if I had him do more work than needed done. On top of that he wanted $450 for what ended up being $60 worth of supplies at Home Depot and it took less than 45 minutes to swap the parts out. I will not be letting my warranty company send me this service company again.

Description of Work: THEY DID WORK TO REPAIR LEAKS FROM A SECOND STORY TUB WITH SHOWER. ON THE FIRST VISIT, HE ADDED A PART TO THE FAUCET HANDLE AND TIGHTENED IT. ON THE SECOND VISIT, HE HAD TO GO THROUGH THE CEILING ON THE FIRST FLOOR AND REPLACE A PORTION OF PIPE UNDER THE SHOWER.
