The service was great. He fixed a leaky outside faucet. It was a quick fix with no issues.

Pros: the plumber showed up on time, was courteous and completed the job quickly. Cons: requested to finish off my new bathroom by installing the sink, faucet, toilet, and shower head. The install was completed but the finishing touches were not done. The sink was not glued to the vanity and the toilet was not caulked. When I asked the plumber if he was going to do this work, he stated that he did not have any of the adhesive or caulk and that the toilet could not be caulked anyways. This left me finishing the job on my own, toilet caulking included.

Mr E. Came out to do the job. We discussed the job, knowing it was going to take at least 20 ft of pipe to complete the job. Its an open ceiling due to a leak from our refrigerator water/ice line. Drywall parts are everywhere on the floor. He didn't have the parts for it, so we had to wait 2 weeks for parts delivery which is Flex Pipe. He came out, did the job but made several mistakes. 1). From the water supply line he installed the water valve. The water valve was on the upside down position causing it to be pushed up by the new drywall when it will be installed stretching the threads out of the brass fitting on the pipe. 2). He only had 2 - 8 feet flex pipe, the flex pipe connector had to be drywalled over. 3.) Also, Only 16 feet of the flex pipe causing him to do as much short cuts as he could, therefore instead of running it the correct way, he ran it bypassing a hole in the joist, screws it underneath the joist causing it to be in the drywall way Again. 3). The frig could only be pulled out 6 inches from the wall for him to hook up frig. 4.) He didn't install a hammerhead keeping frig from knocking when getting water. 5.) He didn't install the cut off valve behind frig. 6.) 1 week later, I called B & L Plumbing, I talked to his boss Mr. J. He came out, looked at the job & agreed to have Mr. E. to do the job at a satisfaction level. 1 week later, again I spoke to Mr. J. 1 day before Mr. E. comes out, to confirm all the work that is needed for satisfaction & he fused hard at me for calling him, saying I got this i got this! I continued to read my 4 point list of expectations. He tells me they don't install cut offs valves behind refrigerators, I told him, ok but Mr E. took the last one off, I have it here, I was gonna say all he has to do is install this one on, Mr. J. got so mad that he cut me off in conversation saying he's gonna do me a favor this time... He did agree to have him install the hammerhead but when Mr. E. came out he didn't know about the added installations & had to call Mr. J. to install the cut off valve behind the frig because he knew nothing about it. Mr. E. Left my house & had to go to the hardware store to buy the parts needed. 7.) Mr. E. finished the job installed on off valve behind the refrigerator, but not the hammerhead. Mr. E. apologies for his mistakes, my wife & I Appreciated that, I give Mr. E. 5 Stars for that. I believe Mr. E. is a Good man, Good worker, that made some mistakes. I believe that he did Good by coming back out to reconcile the matter, I believe he finished the job with quality, but his boss Mr. J. is like a bad dog off the chain with a snappy attitude. When he came to my house evaluating Mr. E. work, I felt a little uncomfortable about his jokes & picking on me points, we couldn't stick to the point of - his presence for the problem. I wish the owners knew so to have Mr. J. Call me relating that he will have the hammerhead installed & I will therefore give a better rating.

B&L got us in quickly to unclog a drain, and they were great about communication - calling us back, and letting us know when they were coming. I thought their price for cleaning out a drain was more than fair. Dalainey was a great technician - he helped me understand what the problem was, and gave me options of what could be done. I will definitely call them again!

Awesome! Our spigot water pressure can now power our sprinkler and we have a new valve for our fridge water line!

Waylon was so quick I thought he was going to have to come back. It's a great feeling when the repairs are completed the same day. Walon is a "master" at what he does. I had a clogged lateral drain line under my basement. Vince, the technician, showed up on time, was very personable right from the beginning. He ran the line for awhile and couldn't break through the clog. We were discussing the $$$$ to dig up floor and replace drain line. He decided to give it one more try and a few minutes later he managed to break through; saving me thousands of dollars. I can't say enough nice things about the professionalism of B&L.

He had both starters in working order in less than an hour. I thought I would need to replace one of the fireplaces but he spent time working to restore it and got it to work. So nice to have 2 of our fireplaces in working order before the bone chilling cold of KC hits.

Did not hire. Wanted $650 to install garbage disposal and add drain pipes.

James and Bill were great. We did a big job that required and track hoe, working in a tight space and all while my wife’s office window was about one foot from where they were working. They were very easy to work with, communicated with mw very well and are very good at what they do. Will definitely work with them again.

The technician, Jason, very quickly fixed the problem. We were presuming the shut off valve would have to be replaced, but Jason was able to repair it instead. He was friendly and helpful and so was his assistant, Delaney. We’ve used B & L Plumbing Service several times forr other plumbing problems and they’ve always resolved the issues quickly and professionally. There was no cost to us for this service because we have this insurance; we pay a hundred and some dollars every year, and every time we have a problem, they come out and fix it for free. The quality was wonderful, all fine.

The employee that came to my home twice was the same guy, so it was consistency. The guy was very down to earth and professional.

I was "assigned" to this company through my warranty company that came with my house that we just bought 2 weeks ago. I have had 2 plumbing issues immediately and was charged $75 for EACH issue by this company and they did NOTHING for either. I called B&L because we had a sewer backup (at least 4 in of standing sewage in our basement) on a Monday and told them it was an emergency and that we couldn't use any facilities. They tell me nobody can come until Wednesday... Guy finally shows up and tells me he can't "walk through sewage to work" and says I'll have to have it pumped, which is crap because that's why I called a plumber. Then he left and said he would have to submit this info to the warranty company before he could do anything. After chasing both companies around in circles, B&L told me it would cost $4,800 to remove our house trap because they couldn't do anything with it there. I decided this had to be ridiculous and I gave up and I called Roto-Rooter and the guy came over and found out the clog was IN our housetrap and cleared the issue in less than 5 minutes. I paid B&L $150 to do absolutely NOTHING. This company is a ripoff, at least if you are working with them through a warranty company. They will do everything they can to not do any work and still charge you for it. Just call Roto-Rooter.

B&L probably does mostly new construction as they ask if' it's warranty work from the git go and so maybe not equipted to handle small emergencies, I don't know. I am sure the quality of their work must be good but I do not know. I had an emergency call as I had to shut off water to the home to stop the gushing water in the kitchen. It was a holiday. I called at around 8:45 pm and they said they would have someone come the next day. I waited til 11am and had no one show up or even call me. I contacted them again and the answering service said they were still on holiday but would let John know and they would call me. 15 minutes later still no response so I found another plumber, Snake & Rooter, to do the job. They responded in less than 30 minutes. The quoted normal charge was $125 for the service call but they did not tell me what it was on holidays. I'm not sure if that charge included the first hour or not as I ended up not using their services. Snake and Rooter on holidays is $149 and includes the first hour of service then $37 per quarter hour there after.

The work they did didn't pass my city's inspection code and that was more than 6 months ago and the company has been unresponsive. And then once it did come back, unwilling to do further work to pass inspection. They took the water heater away and left some scraps. It wasn't a great experience even before the inspection.

They did what they could but still had to come back out and replace the toilet. They are very good about calling when they are on their way. They should make sure they clean up when they are done.

The techs included information on a report to our home warranty company that they did not discuss with us while at the home. Then, fabricated information to avoid doing any work. We waited a full week for anyone to even come and look at the problem. As soon as they walked in, they said they weren't going great to do anything. They never asked us about anything that they said to our home warranty company and acted like "know-it-alls" while they were there. We did not appreciate the treatment nor the erroneous report submitted to our home warranty company.

I called B&L because I'd been told by the home inspector and another plumber that my PRV had failed and needed to be replaced at a cost of about $400. Russell of B&L told me truth -- I didn't need to replace the PRV, it just wasn't adjusted properly. He adjusted the existing value in about 5 minutes. Cost? Anything less than $400 would have saved me money, but it was just part of his service fee. So up to the toilet, the flapper was leaking... he replaced it in a matter of minutes. A simple fix I likely could have done myself, but if you're going to have a plumber around, better to have them do it so you don't break anything. (not that I would ever do that! :) ) The shower valve on our hand shower was leaking. drip drip drip drip, constantly through the night. The same "other plumber" I had told me that he could not repair the Kohler valve that I had, but instead would have to cut open the wall and replace the valve. B&L told me the truth. Russell took the valve apart, got the OEM Kohler parts from his van, and put the whole thing back together. Not only did he fix the valve but he cleared out the hand shower of calcium buildup and installed a new style handle I provided. In 90 minutes all my concerns were addressed, no more drip drip, or haunted toilet flushing in the middle of the night, and no more concerns about what damage high pressure (from the PRV) would cause. I was referred to B&L by my home warranty company. They were the second plumbing company to come to my house to fix these issues, as the first couldn't keep appointments. B&L was on time and finished the job well before the end of their appointment window. The home warranty company paid the bill, so I don't know what the actual cost was. I would not hesitate to call them again for any other plumbing issues.

We got a service policy on our house and they are the ones who paid for it but these guys were good. They did a good job. I think it would have been around $1000 and they had to replace the drain that came from the bathtub, came out in the basement and went across to the main room. They were neat and they knew their job. Their price is probably up there with the rest of them. They used everything that they are supposed to use, like their products. They came out, they looked at it and said they would be back in two days and they were here.
