AFC HEATING & COOLING

They installed a used system in for a week during a very hot time until the new one arrived. They were wonderful! They were on time, so nice and helpful and I was very impressed by them! They didn't pressure us into a top of the line system! They were very honest as well!

We have a maintenance package with them. They have come in a couple of times and missed little things. Overall it is pretty good. They're good with there quality. They are real good with there responsiveness.

Air conditioning quit working last night. Called first thing in the morning and they were here with in 2 hrs. Fixed the problem in 15 min. Great service. Had everything he needed in his van. Will totally use them again.

Air conditioner stopped working. Called and they set appointment. Called 20 mins prior to arriving. Service man got air conditioner to start. I told him that it wasn't working yesterday. He stayed to monitor it... and sure enough, it stopped after 15 mins. He replaced the motor and made some adjustments. Been running since. Very professional and appreciated the timely response to a broken AC.

That the service was great, and they handled my needs from BEAUMONT, and I flew to Kansas, to my mothers house and they were there on the date they said they would be there and installed in the A/c for me. Couldn't ask for a better service.

Installation was prompt, excellent work. Looks and runs great.

On the first visit, on November 3rd, the service person visited, checked several components and determined that the circuit board was faulty. He ordered a new one. This visit was $85. At my convenience, the next visit was today, November 6th. The service person replaced the board in about 15 or so minutes, came in and verified all was well. This visit cost $117 for the circuit board and $25 for the labor. I have had several repairs on this system and this was extremely fair. The service person was friendly, answered all of my questions, and didn't pressure me to replace this older system! I, absolutely, will keep AFC's name in my records!

Very nice people. They are very honest. They will work with schedule. I would strongly recommend their twice a year check up service.

It has been very hot that past few days and my AC was working very hard. Sunday night about 9:30 I notice the house seemed warm. Sure enough, the outside unit would not come on and was "humming." Called their 24 hour number and a serviceman called me back within 15 minutes. Listen to what was occurring, advised we what to do so the unit wouldn't get damaged and said to call the office about 9 AM on Monday to see when they would be out. Called as directed and sure enough, I was the 3rd call of the morning and was told it would be about 10 to 10:30. The technician called about 10 AM. By the time I got to the house, he was already there and working on the unit. Turned out to be the start up capacitor. He had is fixed on 15 minutes. Spent 30 minutes discussing our options for when we needed to replace the unit. I am VERY happy with this company and would highly recommend them to anyone.

I received 3 estimates from companies rated very highly on Angies List in the Kansas City area and AFC offered the most competitive price on the type of A/C furnace I was looking to replace. I worked with Matt throughout the entire process and he made sure I received timely quotes, appropriate product information, as well as answering any questions I had about the units. The day of the installation was outstanding. The guys were on time, professional, knowledgeable, and efficient in their work. I'd also like to emphasize how patient and professional Matt was after a mistake was made on my end with the payment check for AFC's services. An unfortunate perfect storm of events occurred where there was a communication issue with my bank, and at the same time my cell phone broke and I get a new cell #. Even though Matt had a very difficult time contacting me, he remained professional and patent with me even though most guys would have assumed the worst in the situation. I highly recommend them and will be using them for all my HVAC needs!

This company is great. My realtor referred me to them because of my prior issues with my home warranty provider, AB May. I made an appointment with AFC and they were able to come a day before my scheduled appointment to look at my heating and cooling system. The technician was very quick and efficient in replacing my thermastat and also gave me tips on how to properly heat and cool a two story home. They got the job done and I avoided paying over $350 for a new thermastat from their competitor. I will definitely use them in the future!

Everything was great with these guys. From quote, to scheduling, to the work itself, AFC was professional, accommodating and gave the best quote that I received for the work. They understood my need from my conversation with them about it over the phone and sent a very knowledgeable technician, Vick, who had done this before many times. His work was excellent, fast and accommodating to any challenges he had to face. He cut through the stucco exterior cleanly and added a very low key and good-looking exhaust on the outside of the house. I'm really thrilled with his work. I wasn't sure if I'd be able to find someone who had done this type of vent work before, but they were extremely knowledgeable on this atypical request. I would absolutely hire AFC again for other services as well.

The service turned out really good. I was really pleased with them. They put in the highest ranked furnace that they had and we received a different estimate from another company and AFC was less expensive and they provided a better product.

We've used these folks for 15 years. They installed the replacement heat & a/c at a very reasonable price. They have taken care of our needs ever since. Very friendly and professional, reasonable price.

Contacted several providers using Angie's list for the installation of a central air conditioning unit for my mother who lives in Kansas City. I live in Texas and wanted to locate a provider, work out of the details, i.e., product, costs, scope of work etc. prior to my coming to KC for the actual installation. I contacted AFC and the sales repre called me back and went to my mother's home the same day. He called me back, with price, product, etc. I asked numerous questions. He gave me the model number which allowed me to do my research over the weekend. He suggested that I get other bids and call him back if I wanted the unit installed. I called two other providers. Called him back with a go! He said that the installation would be on Monday, July 8th. I informed him that I would be there (in KC) by Wed. July 3rd. On Monday, July 8th the installers arrived at 9:00am. They were professional and answered my "multitude" of questions. Excellent experience. P.S. I have used Angie's list to get a roof on my mother's home. I have had a great experience using the providers on Angie's list to do work- long distance.

The service appointment went great! They definitely won't sell you something you don't need. They also take the time to answer all your questions. Their Prices are very reasonable. I'll definitely be using them for a long long time.

. They gave us a date and time for the work. They showed up on time and removed the old AC and furnace. We had removed material from around the furnace in the basement to allow easy access. They installed the new AC and furnace. They humored me by making a couple of very minor changes and let me photograph the inside of the units. JT and Tim were easy to work with and answered all of my questions. The sales rep Ron who came out and provide the quote impressed with his experience and detail. Since the AC was installed when it was too cool to run a good test of the system they put in an estimated amount of the new freon. They told us if it did not seemed to be up to par when hot weather arrived to call and they would have a service person stop by when they were out this way and check it. They took the old AC and furnace away and left the basement very clean which was how they found it.

We've been using AFC since our house was built, almost 27 years ago. They have helped with "do it yourself" problem solving over the phone on several occasions when a visit would have taken much longer and been more costly. The technician who visits for our annual tune-ups is always courteous and always takes time to share the results and provide information that might be useful to us in planning for the future.

AFC is always very timely and friendly. We've had the same technician servicing our furnace and AC for 18 years. The fact that the original furnace and AC in our new house lasted 18 years is testiment to the quality of service they provided all those years. For the last 2 years AFC has given us notification that the government is changing minimum efficiency requirements on furnaces and AC beginning in 2013 and that due to the age of our equipment we should seriously consider replacing them before the new requirements go into effect. They warn that the new more efficient equipment will cost more and also that they were offering discounts on equipment this year. We feel we saved quite a bit of money compared to if we had waited. AFC showed up on the 20th as scheduled and worked all day to get the new equipment operational. I also have a rental property which was in dire need of a new furnace and AC back in June 2010. I did not have the cash to spend on a new system and therefore shopped at Home Depot where I have a CC. Home Depot set me up with AB May and they came out and gave me an estimate. Thinking that the estimate was quite a lot for a small rental property I requested AFC to come give me an estimate. AFC came out in a timely manner and their quote was half that of AB May. Since it was already summer and tempertures where already very warm and since the old AC was not doing the job AFC squeezed me into their busy schedule and installed the equipment within just a few days.

They came about 8:30 that morning and was completed by noon.They pick up all the AC parts and trash. Everything was clean up and was gone by 12:30.

My A/C unit is old, probably at least 15 to 20 years old. I was expecting the repairman to say you need a new unit. But it was only a fuse that needed to be replaced. I was certainly relieved that it could be repaired for so little. The repairman was here maybe 30 minutes and we had cool air once again

Overall it did not go well and do not have trust in this service provider due to the following experiences. Had a service contract with the provider for semi-annual maintenance and reapair. We had the technician out to inspect the cooling coils on the heat pump, but never opened the face of the unit to inspect it, for mold or proper operation. Simply stated if it was working you would know it, there would be water on the floor.The home is only six years old and has been inhabited for five years this October 2011 and the only family to live in the home.In the beginning, had to replace a condensor on the heat pump, then a few months later had to replace a valve on the heat pump and the thermostat has been replaced.After all that, we questioned the service call and was wanting a more thorough inspection of the unit, but by a different technician. The technician Alex, was somewhat professional at first, but when we began asking questions, he seemed to become defensive and agitated by our persistant questions. When requesting that the service provider send their service manager to fully inspect the cooling coil unt for mold, proper operation and drainage, because of some rust on top of the furnace, below the cooling coil untit, we were informed by the service provider they were cancelling our service contract with them.Further investigation to see if a city inspector would inspect the unit, was told no, but they did inform us that it took two permits for this heating and cooling system to pass inspection for this new construction in 2005. Bought the house from the builder in 2005, did not have the house built. The service provider stated that most home buyers upgraded from the standard to a higher end unit in this buillder's homes. This seem to imply that maybe our system wasn't adequate for the home, but I guess that is a gray area. Frankly, the whole experience seems awfully Q****!

The service representative who came to the house was knowledgeable and very helpful in determining what we needed. The installer did an excellent job, hauled off all the old stuff and cleaned up after himself. We were very pleased with the overall experience.

I've had a yearly service contract with AFC for 10 years. I knew my AC was on its downward slide but on 6/30/11 it went out. I phoned AFC at 8am the next morning. They had a technician to my house by 915am. After about 45 minutes I got the bad news I was halfway expecting...a new central AC. It was the hottest day of the year and the start of the holiday weekend. They brought the AC out and started work before noon. The system was installed by 430 pm that day. Great Job!!

Just called to get an estimate for a new furnace & conderser and when I asked f they sold Goodman products I was told "I wouldn't do that to my customers". Nice. While you may feel Goodman products aren't up to your standards my compressor lasted 21 years and my furnace still works perfect. The internet is full of complaints from owners of all brands. . . including Lennox and Trane. Had you not been so smug I might of listened to why I should switch brands but instead I'll give my money to another company.
