AFC HEATING & COOLING

I have an HVAC that needed maintenance but they told me the unit needed replaced for well over $5000. Not so. Another company came and fixed it with normal maintenance. If you get a quote from AFC, get a second opinion.

Just got a new Lennox HVAC system installed by AFC HEATING & COOLING. I got a few estimates from other companies and AFC had the most reasonable price. Both the sales guy and the installers were very professional and they got the job done in a day as scheduled. So far the furnace has been working great and I'll need to wait till summer to try out the new AC. Yes, I'd hire them again!

Great. They are keeping are aged A/C and Heater units going strong.

We have 18 year old Trane unit. No problems were found. Not sure he checked freon level, but unit does cool OK. Washed off outside unit to make it easier for it to draw air thru fins and not have to work too hard.

Installers were on-time, neat and professional.

Service went great. Price was on the lower end of other top angies list bids. Quality of work and customer service was great. This company has earned another customer and I refereed my neighbor to them (which they used)

It was 2 different people. The first one told me I needed to close that air conditioner down more often, because it was affecting making it work right. I think he added freon to the system, maybe. I started hosing that air conditioner down every time I mowed the grass. They seem like honest people. If anybody would ask me my technical opinion, I don’t really have a technical opinion, I don’t know anything about heating and cooling. They’re really responsive, that is my favorite thing.

Everything worked okay. I did check them out before I made the purchase, they were competitive with other heating and cooling places in terms of price. Not a lot stands out to me, I make a point to not have to call very often. I have continued with them because I’m lazy and it was easier to do that. I didn’t really know about anything special about any other company. That was an “A” price, that was competitive. It’s a Lennox Home Heating System, it’s a good home heating system. They’ve always been very responsive and punctual, always. It’s their business. The guy that had to do the install was most professional.

We are very happy with the company. We got a rebate, which we were also very happy about. We have been with them for many years, and would recommend them!

When we have a problem we call them. They respond really fast, come out right away. They are great, do a terrific job.

I did get a new system put in and I'm very, very happy with their installation and the cost as well and I can't tell you, it's not at the top of my head what those were at this time. Yes, I would use AFC HEATING & COOLING again.

I built my home in '92 and AFC HEATING & COOLING's furnace- a high-efficiency furnace and their air conditioning as well lasted for... I think the air conditioning lasted for 18 years and the furnace lasted for 22 years. I have their maintenance every year for $150 at the current time. They come twice a year to clean and tune up and make sure it's ready to go. Great service. Great family-owned company and great service.

In late August, we contacted AFC to request a quote to install an AC unit and duct work in our attic to cool new addition and existing bedrooms. They responded very promptly, and Matt looked at our house, attic, and new space. My husband said he seemed very competent and had a good grasp of what our needs were and how to fulfill them. We received an email quote on Sept 2nd and on that same day, we responded we wanted AFC to move forward with our project, signed the quote and emailed it back to Matt. We did not get a response so on Sept 12th, we emailed Matt. Matt replied Sept 14th saying they were very busy, but they hope to get to us soon. Three weeks go by and not a word from Matt or anyone at AFC. On Oct 10th, we email Matt asking what the schedule looks like and if they have any idea when they can install the AC. We get no response. My husband called and left a message on Matt's phone. No response. On Oct 23rd we send another email asking what the schedule looks like and explain that our insulation contractor is waiting until new AC unit and duct work to insulate new addition. NO RESPONSE. November 3rd I called Matt and he answered. I asked if he had any idea when AFC would install AC. He apologized and said he did not want to reach out to us until he had a locked in date when his AC designer could look at our space and that would get the ball rolling. He still could not give us a date but hoped it would be the next week and he would call. I asked him straight up if AFC really did want to do the work. I explained that I would understand if they did not want to do the work, just tell me so I can find another company. I said yes, they do want the work. I asked why we haven't been fit in their schedule and he explained that new construction is their priority so our job keeps getting pushed. To this day, December 6th, I never heard from Matt or anyone at AFC. We called Pat Marsh with AB May on Friday, Nov 11th. He came to our house Monday, Nov 14th. We had a quote that week. It was inline with what AFC quoted. AB May showed up Monday, Nov 21st, worked three straight days and finished. They did an excellent job, no issues at all. AFC, you can take us off your list.

Everything going great so far. Work done as described with high quality equipment. Best price i could find for the install and equipment.

I could not be happier with my overall experience with AFC Heating and Cooling. My issue started when the heating and cooling company I was using performed a maintenance check up that triggered a need to replace my entire system. The timing couldn't be worse, as the temps were over 100 degrees for a week solid. After getting a few other quotes some major companies in the area that were way over my budget, a friend mentioned he had a great experience with AFC. I called in, explained my situation and was put in touch with the owners son Matt who came out the next day to review my needs. He was direct, straightforward and even pointed out some issues that other companies failed to address. He was able to design the perfect system for me at a price point that no one else could touch, getting me the exact system I wanted. Matt even tried to get me to a lower price point option, but I was the one who pushed for higher end options (love my icomfort S30 thermostat). The technicians who came in were very professional and personable. Answered the dozens of questions I had, even noticed an issue with a gas line they were able to fix for me. They were able to get it all done in a day and took care of answered all my follow up emails in 24hrs. If you want a company that you can trust and not overwhelm you with options and plans look no further.

A 2-person team came to the house, asked a few questions, ran a few tests and communicated their findings and steps for resolution. Then they took care of the problem and went to their next call. They were very informative and very efficient.

Always honest and save me money where they can.

Visit with employee was good. As the employee was leaving he said have a good day, and I asked what I owed him for the service. He told me "Don't worry about it." I then asked are you sure, and he said, "Yep." I told him to have a good day and he left. I was surprised that he didn't charge me but thought I guess since he didn't do anything other then reconnect a wire he was being nice. Then a week later I get a bill from AFC for $85.00. I was shocked to receive a bill after their employee told me, and my wife heard, that I didn't owe anything. I then call AFC and ended up talking to "Phil" apparently an owner." I explained what I was told, and he proceeds to tell me that the employee was wrong and must have thought it was covered by warranty. I then tell him that he shouldn't have said I didn't owe anything if he didn't know for sure. I then ask if he is going to back-up what his employee told me that I didn't owe anything, and he said no and that I owe $85.00. He then asks if I had a service completed, and I said yes, but I wouldn't have a problem paying at the time of service, but I was told I didn't owe anything so I felt I shouldn't be charged. Phil disagreed and said his employee shouldn't have told me it didn't cost anything but I owe $85.00. I then tell Phil I will be putting negative reviews on yelp the BBB and he said he would send me to collections. I appreciated AFC responding to my home on the weekend, and would have paid the $85.00 at the time the service was completed, but to be told I don't owe anything and then get a bill. Something's not right there. It would have been better if once they realized the mistake they should have called me and explained what happened, and I would have paid the $85.00. Instead they bill me, and then the "Owner" won't make any concessions to make the customer happy. It was a joke to me. I won't be using AFC in the future if this is how they treat their customers. I won't recommend them to anyone I know. I'd rather use MVP or AB May in the future.
