Response from AFC HEATING & COOLING
[Member Name Removed] - I checked into your account and found two service calls from the summer. On May 26, 2015 you called in for service saying your air conditioner runs for a long time and was not cooling well. We came out the same day and found the air conditioner to be low on refrigerant. When an air conditioner is low on refrigerant, it will decrease its efficiency. When its efficiency is decreased, it will run more and use more electricity. Also the cost of electricity goes up every year and last summer was especially humid causing air conditioners to run a little longer. These are most likely the causes of your higher electric bills. The second service call from last summer was called in on July 29, 2015. You called in saying your air conditioner was out and that it looked like something had chewed through some wiring to the air conditioner. We came out the next day, repaired the wiring and everything was operating correctly. Since your heating and cooling system is 7 years old now, we recommend you signing up for our preventative maintenance agreement. This service helps keep your system run efficiently and hopefully prevents other repairs in the future. We appreciate and value your business. If there is anything we can do to be of service to you, then please let us know. Thanks, Phil Spellerberg General Manager
