AFC HEATING & COOLING

The service went very well. They have always come very quickly after I requested their service. They have been very professional. The person that came out and did the service was very thorough in his explanation to me because I am a new homeowner. He explained to me about how the heating and cooling systems work in the house. He was also very patient with all my questions.

Furnace quit working early on a Saturday morning. Called the following Monday and was able to set up an appointment for early the next morning. The technician showed up right on time and went right to work. After about 20 minutes of testing various parts he figured out the one of the rubber hoses to a pressure valve had gotten blocked with debris. He cleaned it out and the heater fired right up. I also asked him if there was any regular maintanence I should be doing to help avoid similar problems in the future, and he gave me several pointers to help keep the system working properly.

Based on numerous positive reviews on Angie's List, I called AFC to ask about options to fix our issue of keeping our child's room at a constant temperature. The solution was not cheap, but I felt comfortable after talking to them that it would solve our problem. They ordered the part, called me when it was in and installed it the next day. It took a couple of weeks to get the thermostat in, but after that everything went perfectly smooth. And I am happy to say that our problem appears to be solved.

They worked with me, we had a couple of things to solve after the installation. After I talked to the president they came back and repaired everything. I appreciated that and I would give them the highest grade. At this point I am very pleased with their work. They were priced competitively compared to the other companies I checked out.

AFC has serviced the HVAC system in my home since the home was built in 1994. Since then many/most of the neighbors have replaced their HVAC systems but due to the excellent service each Spring and Fall from AFC our HVAC system is still going strong. In the Summer of 2010 I needed to replace the HVAC system in a rental property. Initially I went to Home Depot who hooked me up with AB May but their quote to replace the furnace and AC was $5,000 so I called AFC and they replaced the furnace and AC for $2,500. I couldn't be happier with both my home and rental HVAC systems thanks to AFC.

They were responsive and did a good job. We are very pleased.

Call on morning of 06/24/2010 to make appointment. Being time of year and hot outside were very busy. They make appointment for next day. Called me 3 hrs. later said the could be out today. Repairs were made in a very professional and timely matter. A/C is working again.

The guy who we dealt with was recommended by the previous owner of our house. We like everything about him and we are very satisfied with him.

They had put in the original furnace when our house was built, 25 years ago. Later, they replaced the furnace for us. The earlier furnace was the builder?s choice and it wasn?t working very well. Even the air conditioner that the builder had selected was too small for the house. So, we ended up replacing that, too. We went with AFC Heating & Cooling because they were doing the service work for us. We are very satisfied with them. We have a service contract with them. They come out twice a year. They come out in the spring and check the air conditioning. They do the servicing, when required. During fall, they check the furnace and prepare it for the winter. We spend around $150 a year on them, which we think is reasonable. We aren?t sure about how much they charge a new customer. We like them. We haven?t used any other company since we got the house. They send out the same person to do the servicing. They are fine. They send us reminders when it is time for us to set up an appointment with them, for the servicing. Overall, our experience has been excellent. We will continue to use them in the future.

They were pretty good. I paid more because I had the spring tuned up. The guy told me all about the furnace. He was pretty helpful. He told me it was an electric furnace, and explained its advantages and disadvantages.

The best, most expensive equipment is squandered if not installed correctly. The entire project hinged on the integrity of our salesperson, and the knowledge & experience of the installation crew. Our extensive HVAC research revealed the make and size units necessary for our home. We were able to compare 3 proposals closely, based on the exact models. Casey Pinnock of AFC Heating & Cooling answered my most detailed questions thoroughly. Of the 3 estimates, AFC was in the middle. Casey informed me of all possible rebates, and AFC was diligent to install a temporary motor to test our old system for rebate eligibility (they didn't fudge on the rules) . Ultimately this attention to detail & honesty gave them our business. AFC left their motor, to provide us cool air, until the actual installation of our new system several days later. Incredibly, we were as impressed by our installers, JT & Vick, as we were with Casey. They arrived early morning and worked strenuously until early evening. A specialist team member was sent late in the afternoon to check the system, and Casey also checked the project late in the day. Again, the installation crew were professional, friendly & knowledgeable. New lines had to be installed & they were thoughtful in explaining the process, the considerations, the options & asking my opinion on placement. Their installation skills and clean-up were so precise it was difficult to see any changes, except for the new equipment. Despite the tight & difficult removal of the old furnace, no damage occurred. They provided a training session on the entire system and were detailed, but easy to understand. The entire process was painless as possible.

They routinely service our system. They're very good to work with.

We've had AFC do our seasonal maintenance for 3 years now. They have also installed a humidifier and they were very quick and professional. But, I also feel like they are honest.

I was very pleased with my experience. I had received estimates from 2 other companies that did not go so well. I had received a similar estimate from another company in the amount of $6000 just for the HVAC unit. For the same price, AFC provided me the furnace, coil, heat pump, thermostat, humidifier and air cleaner. They were very efficient and personable. The salesman was excellent and gave me 2 options to choose from. I felt no pressure from the company. They were great!

During an annual check-up of my home air conditioners, I informed Dan McHworter, a member of David Spellerberg's AFC team that I needed an estimate to replace two A/C's and Furnaces at a rental duplex. AFC has very professionally and successfully installed and serviced our HVAC units in our home for 21 years. We have always been very pleased with the quality and cost of service. I met Dan at the duplex. Measurements were made that were subsequently discussed with David. The AFC offer was very prompt, comprehensive & at a price that was very attractive. David advised that two teams would be sent to install units in both sides of the duplex in one day. An installation date was set & the team arrived promptly to commence work. Work was completed on time as promised at the designated price. Earlier when I was out of the city, our A/C broke with wife & baby alone. David worked with Manufacturer to get major discount, gave personal discount & replaced the unit. We are very grateful.

WE HAVE USED AFC FOR 17 YEARS. THEY INSTALLED A NEW AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM IN A NEW ADDITION TO OUR HOUSE AND REPLACED THE OLD SYSTEM. WE HAVE ALSO USED OTHER COMPANIES TO REPAIR THE OLD SYSTEM IN THE PAST BECAUSE WE THOUGHT THEY WOULD BE MORE ECONOMICAL AND HAVE REGRETTED THAT DECISION. AFC DOES EXCELLENT WORK AND ALWAYS STANDS BEHIND THEIR WORK AND PRODUCT.

I HAVE USED AFC FOR MANY YEARS AND HAVE ALWAYS BEEN VERY PLEASED. THEY ARE VERY REASONABLE AND RESPONSIVE.

COMPANY IS ALWAYS RESPONSIVE AND THEIR CREWS ARE ALWAYS FRIENDLY AND COURTEOUS. THEY HAVE COME OUT WHEN OUR FURNACE STOPPED WORKING DURING A COLD SNAP, AND CAME OUT A SECOND TIME AFTER THE HUMIDIFIERS WERE SERVICED BECAUSE WE WERE NOT SATISFIED WITH THE WORK THAT HAD BEEN PERFORMED. THIS SECOND SERVICE CALL WAS PERFORMED AT NO CHARGE.
