Description of Work: We had the flooring in our entire house replaced all at one time. Weber did a nice job of helping us out with our questions, in picking out the flooring that we wanted, providing samples that we could take to make sure it was what we wanted, etc. It was a little more expensive than we were hoping to pay but considering how much we had done we knew it wouldn't be cheap. We were very fortunate with the installer that got assigned to our job however. They do contract out their installers and we were lucky enough to get Brian Giroux. From the moment that he showed up to drop off the wood flooring I had a very high comfort level with him. I have no doubt that the other installers that Weber uses are good but I will recommend to everyone that needs flooring, if they go through Weber, the need to insist on having Brian G. be their installer. He's more concerned about getting it right than meeting the install deadline. His quality of work is top notch and he is a very pleasant person to work with. We absolutely could not be happier with the way all of our flooring turned out.

Description of Work: Nice sales person. They measured the area incorrectly and then ordered portions of the job incorrectly. Installers were really challenged to make this work. Several installation oversights. In the end, they have fixed everything and have given us a slight refund to make up for the chaos.

Description of Work: We bought carpet for our living room and two bedrooms. The only negative to this was the salesman kept suggesting carpeting in blues after I'd repeatedly told him my colors are brick, neutrals and olive green; plus, I'd said I only wanted Berber, and other types were suggested. This, however, was minor, and overall, we're quite happy with the whole experience. The carpet installers were prompt, professional, and courteous, and they cleaned up after themselves beautifully! Yes, we'll use them again. The date above is definitely approximate. I don't remember when they were here, and it may have been late 2011.

+ 0 moreStaff was pleasant and overall tile selection was fair for my area (Lee's Summit). We were seeking basic stone patterns that were not tremendously unique or high-end. Weber was the right destination. We required a lot of stone tile for a large bathroom, so the overall price seemed fair. As mentioned before, the staff was pleasant. However, we had to chase them down a bit. Returning phone is not their strength and it took a while to receive a quote for materials only (despite requesting a materials only quote from the start). Also, our representative could answer straightforward questions, but was not "artistically" talented. I would not rely heavily on Weber for design/style recommendations. Net: If you know what you want, it's within the beaten path of tile selections and you are fairly patient.... Weber is a satisfactory option.

+ -1 moreMy wife and I were unsure of the color or type of carpet we wanted for our basement. Kirk, at the Grandview store, explained the differences in pads and quality of carpet they had available and lead times for special order and in stock styles. He recommended a pad that wasn't the most expensive but would meet our needs. He let us browse without pressure but was always available for questions. The lighting in the warehouse environment made color selection somewhat difficult, but he provided large samples of several styles to compare at home. Unlike other stores, they don't expect you to return the samples. Kirk even had some big rolls moved so my wife could see the overall pattern better than from a small sample. Joe's doesn't perform installation but provides a list of independent contractors. When the first contractor we contacted was less than helpful and we were unable to compare total costs because of this, Kirk recommended and even arranged a measure and estimate by a better installer. We wanted high value with our other expenses for remodeling, and Kirk and Joe's delivered.

Description of Work: We walked in around 4pm on Saturday. We were approached by a lady who after looking around for 10 minutes or so, asked if she could help us and we started showing her what we needed and our colors and so on. She started to help and then told us that they had closed at 4pm but we were welcome to finish shopping. About 5 minutes later as I was trying to look at products, she walks back up to me and says, "I am sorry, but we are closed and you need to leave", then off go the lights. What happened to customer service? Why not tell us this before we get involved in looking? Then rudely tell us we need to leave and turn the lights out WHILE WE ARE IN THE BUILDING? I am a business owner myself and if ANY employee of mine ever did that to a customer, I would have fired them on the spot. I only hope the people that did this were not the owners themselves.

However, he also showed us a comparable, much less expensive, more appropriate pattern for our purposes, which we purchased and are very happy with. Appreciated the attention and service and especially the comparison of product.
