I own a rental property in Kansas City and needed some carpet replaced in the basement. They were friendly, came out to give an estimate quickly, and were able to install the carpet with pad in a few short days. The amount they charged was half the amount I was quoted from another flooring company in town for the same quality carpet. I would definitely use them again.

Description of Work: They refinished Hartco Laminate wood floors, 7/16" thick; approximately 350-400 sq. ft.. There was an area that had been faded by the sun adjacent to a sliding patio door. I was advised it might not refinish as good as the rest of the floor, but would definitely look better than it did before. That ended up being correct. I could not be on hand when the work was started or finished, mainly because it was done so fast. I thought there was not adequate time spent on the problem area. The most distasteful part of the whole experience was the fact that the guys who did the work arrived at 9:35 A.M. and were gone before 10:00. I could never have dreamed they could unload their materials and equipment, buff/sand the floor, vacuum the floor and refinish it, and load their materials and equipment in less than 25 minutes. I arrived home at 10:10, but had called my wife at 10:00 to retreive something for me before the floors were coated. She had retreated to the basement and whne she came upstairs,THEY WERE ALREADY DONE AND GONE! I contacted Don Weber immediately, about 10:15 - 10:30 that day with my surprise/shock about how quickly this was done and that I doubted extra attention was paid to the problem area. He said he would speak with his guys and get back to me. Finally, after an e-mail to Don, after receiving the bill for the work, he called andapologized for not getting back to me; vacations, Holidays, and illness had delayed him. This was the week of 1/6. Obviously I don't know a thing about refinishing floors if it only takes less than 25 minutes to refinish 350 sq. ft of flooring. Don indicated these guys do this every day so they are very skilled. ( So are my doctor and dentist, but they don't make money at that rate, they also can't refinish floors! What was I thinking!) The floors look fine, I paid the bill, I got my 2 cents worth in, and though I didn't get what I thought was a good answer to my concern, I really can't bad mouth them. I've purchased carpet from them in the past and had a great experience. Would I have them work on my hardwood floors again; likely not.
