Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup

We called late in the afternoon and he was there in about two hours. He did a very good job under difficult conditions in about an hour. It was about 35 degrees, windy and raining. Price seemed a little high but considering the situation I would use them again. Dennis

Larry was professional, arrived on time, was very friendly and thorough. He listened to all I had to say regarding the blockage, moisture and mold, let me know my options and what he thought was the best course of action to remedy the situation and how best to prevent trouble in the future. He suggested Roto-Rooter's Water Restoration Service to clean up and disinfect all areas that had been impacted by the sewage backup, which I opted to have done. He made a phone call to arrange it and within the next hour Tim Berry arrived to assess the water/sewage/mold and informed me what should be done to clean up the sewage and gave suggestions on how best to remedy the pre-existing mold in the basement and basement bathroom. He sent Nick to do the actual extraction, clean-up and disinfecting of the basement bathroom and Nick did a wonderful job. Due to the mold, no drying equipment was used on site as it might spread existing mold spores to other parts of the basement, HVAC system and/or main floor of house. I was impressed that they could come the same day I called and more so impressed that it took 3 different people to get the job done all in the same day. These guys rock. I will definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone who asks about this type of work.

Patrick was the technician who came out. He was prompt and efficient and had me fixed in no time. I called Wednesday morning and they got me scheduled for a 1pm - 5pm window. They called to let me know when they were on their way. Everything went just fine and I'm happy with the new faucet. It works better than the leaky one ever did.

We just moved into a new house, an older home built late 1950s. Having lived in older homes before, one of the first things we do is root out the main drain (sewer line). In addition, there existed a pipe clog below the kitchen sink which had eluded home inspection prior to purchase. Naturally, we called the experts in drain cleanout: Roto-Rooter. On the day of the appointment, the truck pulled up to the house prior to the expected time. The technician, Jim Young, was very professional and explained everything that he planned to do along with an estimated cost. He said he was very sensitive about older homes and that he tries the least invasive method first before moving to bigger procedures. He even invited me to tag along & ask questions. We tackled the sink issue first thinking it would be the quickest. It turns out that it was much more complicated & deeper than expected. In the end, Jim was able to break the clog free, all the while maintaining a professional composure. The sewer drain cleaning went very quickly. Finally, Jim cleaned up the entire area, much better than he found it. I had a very good experience. A bit pricey, but my problems were solved in a timely manner and I learned a lot about my house. I called this company to clean out drainage pipes. They said they'd be out in half an hour. Four hours later they still had not arrived. I called back and they did not have an explanation but rescheduled for the next morning. I specifically asked for first call and they promised to be out at 9:00 AM. At 10:30 they still had not arrived. I called back and the dispatcher said they might be out in an hour or two. I cancelled. I need a company that will come when they say they'll come, and if they can't make it for some reason, will call to let me know.

Tony was prompt. He took the time to explain the problem and to show me where the clog was in the pipes. He also took the time to provide me an estimate for another unrelated issue.

We have roto rooter out in May of 2015 they ran the camera and said all looked good. Our main sewer line backed up this month (October 5 months later) and when they ran the camera it told a much different story. They said this is normal? We were pleased with the gentleman who initially responded to our call and even wrote him a nice review. Where things started to turn was when we hired them to replace the main line. I called in to book the work and was told I would receive a call shortly to get it on the books, the next day the salesman called. I let him know I expected to hear from him the day before and he said that is typical for the main office to not notify them a call has come in. The day the work was to begin the two gentlemen showed up at my neighbor's house three doors down and prepared to dig. Luckily my neighbor was home and stopped them! When they rang my doorbell I questioned what just happened, the gentleman's said, "we just follow the utility flags". He said there was a computer glitch and the utility company got the wrong address and marked our neighbors yard. I let him know I was very nervous that he had not confirmed the address and almost dug up our neighbors yard based upon the flag makers. He asked if he could leave his very large truck and excavator parked in front of our house overnight, I told him I did not think our neighbor across the street would be able to get out very easily. With hesitation, he agreed to take his truck with him and bring it back the next morning. He and his helper were courteous about knocking on the door the next morning and re-introducing themselves and explaining the plan. I appreciated that. My husband dropped by to see how the work was progressing and the gentlemen were waiting on the courtesy inspection from the city. The city inspector pointed out they had made a "rookie" mistake as he called it and installed the pipe incorrectly. They had to re-do it and thank goodness for the city inspector! They broke some parts of our brand new sprinkler system and offered to fix them but we opted to take the $250 credit and have our lawn guy fix them.

The service man did an excellant job, explained what he needed to to, went over the cost before he started and did a very good job. After finishing he went back and double checked his work to make sure it was properly fixed. He then cleaned up the area . Very friendly and knew what he was doing

We had a leek at our commercial office building. Roto-Rooter was on the spot - showing up when they said they would helping to limit the water damage. The plumber replaced 4 valves and repaired the drains on two sinks. This is one of several jobs they have done for us. One of the jobs was replacing a 5 inch roof drain. They have always completed each job past expectations.

Larry was professional and courteous as he explained the procedure to replace the valve. We had a new refrigerator delivered on Sunday afternoon, and the delivery people said the new hose for the ice maker wouldn't fit the existing connection. The current valve was also leaking water. Larry replaced the valve, the hose was connected for the ice maker, and tested. He left when he was sure that everything was working properly.

They did a good job. I didn't have any problems with them.

Adam (#1090) showed up on time to clean out our main line. He pulled out some tree roots and then ran the camera through the line. He showed me all the places that tree roots were coming in from the pipes shifting. He also found a busted pipe. He explained everything to me and got an estimate done for repair of the pipe. He was very polite and even explained everything all over again to my fiance when he got home from work.

Outstanding. Spending that kind of money on a project you want to have confidence in the people you are working with. The guys at Roto Rooter were knowledgeable and courteous and put me at ease working with them. They were at my home on and off for approximately a week. Would always let me know when they were leaving and time they would be back. And they were always back at the time they said they were. Always made sure to clean up after themselves. Would definitely work with them again.

Tech did a great job of covering the surrounding area around the drain line openings to make sure that anything around the drain lies were protected. He was very professional and easy to work with. They were also on time. We were happy with the service on the drains and would hire them again.

Excellent. Keith came over and was extremely professional and charismatic, especially for a Sunday night. Was upfront with cost and scope of work. Left the basement much cleaner than he found it!!! Any future issues I will definitely be requesting his services again.

Tom (760) showed up right on time and was very professional. He explained everything he was doing and gave me the cost estimate up front. He was very pleasant and answered all of my questions. He also did an excellent job of cleaning up after he was done. Everything was done and all of my plumbing works just like it's supposed to now. I would definitely call him again to fix any other plumbing problems that I might have in the future.

It went well the water is draining well. Tom (760) was courteous and on time. He was knowledgeable about my plumbing problem. he was neat in appearance.

The technician, Justin (700), was very courteous and kept me informed along the way. Unfortunately I am going to have to have additional work, but Justin showed me the issue on the camera and it was obvious there is a major issue.

came out, looked at old pump, provided estimate, went to get new pump and back flow protector, installed and tested, cleaned up then showed me the work. looks great and works/sounds far better than the 10 year old one. great on-line scheduling and convenient saturday appointment at no extra cost for those of us that work during normal business hours.

Overall, the cleaning and scan was performed well. The first technician who visited my property on July 3rd cleaned the line (about 40 feet). The original clean-out was still concreted into the floor (been that way for 39 years), and he chipped away at the area around the drain plug to remove and replace the plug at no additional cost! Once he was into the sewer line with his equipment, his cable became caught in the line (likely near the city main tap). Fortunately, he was able to free the auger and reel it back in. His people skills could use a bit of work as he seemed very awkward to speak with (hence the lower Professionalism rating). The following day, a video scan of the line was performed by a different and very young technician. He had some strange mannerisms while he discussed the issue and cost of sewer line replacement with me (the bottom of the cast iron line was gone due to deterioration over the years). I really appreciate their willingness to honor an Angie's List coupon I had found a day earlier and failed to print. Overall, I would definitely use again.

The drain on my washing machine was blocked and had been overflowing. The tech from Roto Rooter came out, assessed the problem and worked diligently to correct it. More than once, he had to change the size of the coil that he was putting down the drain because the blockage was so dense. After much effort, he was able to open up the drain. It was very re-assuring to me that he never gave up until he was successful. And it wasn't an easy job!

Water was flooding outside basement door about ready to come inside my door. Tom (760) was able to unclog with in 2 hours of my phone call!!! So happy thanks a bunch!

Service was great. Tom (760) serviced our house and was very professional and had everything back in working order in no time. Would definitely use the company again. Very pleased!
