Chris and his associates were very responsive to my concerns and professional. I originally called Chris after finding him on Angies List to repair a leak in my roof. After he came out to look at the leak, he advised me to contact my insurance company because he saw hail damage on my roof. Chris fixed the leak first while I dealt with my insurance company. After I got the approval for the roof replacement from my insurance company, Chris was out within a couple of days to complete the job. After the job was complete, I noticed some tar marks on my house. I brought this to Chris's attention and he came out to clean and repaint the affected areas. Everything looks great!

Had a slow leak in the roof that was dripping into the kitchen when it rained persistently. Chris came out, recommended a list of things I could do to remedy the situation. We opted to have him perform the work so he could check out the rest of the roof as well. He sealed several suspect areas. When the leak persisted he returned at no cost to resolve the situation. He guarantees his work for a year which was great when he had to come back as the source of the leak was not obvious.

He didn't gouge me. It is very scary to have something done and you don't know anything about it. He did a very good job. He was very professional.

Chris and his associate repaired several leaks with my roof and one in my exterior wall siding. They examined my roof very thoroughly. They, as other estimators had, deciding my shingles were for the most part in excellent shape. They replaced the few damaged shingles, fixed an improperly installed flashing, replaced a pipe collar, and resealed other pipe collars on my roof. On the siding leak, they reseal all the entry points for my utilities, removed and resealed a z-flashing between the upper and lower siding panels. Finally, they painted to match, and installed a new piece of trim along the bottom of my wall to further stop a possible leak and cover the builders mistake of not installing the siding properly.

Everything went very smoothly. Was prompt with the estimate and on time on the work day. He covered all of our gutters and corrected the balance and secured the loose gutters to the house to increase efficency. Also, repaired and painted facia boards. This has not been tested by a heavy rainfall, so we will see.

Chris had to come back a couple of times as the problem areas were difficult to spot. Finally, after the last hard rain, Chris returned to tear off a section of the roof and was able to spot the problem. Evidently, when the house was built about 10 years ago, the roof was completed before bricklayers had finished their job. Hence, the roof was not properly complete at the point where the roof and the brick wall meets in one section of the house. Chris never charged us to come back and to correct the problem. He lamented that he had not caught it initially. Chris is a great guy, and we will continue to use him in the future for our roofing repair needs. I hightly recommend him!

Chris and Ryan are both excellent at communicating what they're going to do and when. Entire project was finished in a matter of days from the time I first called them for an estimate to the time they finished the job. They cleaned up the job site so well that you would have never known they were here, unlike roofers I've had in the past who damaged landscaping, left bits and pieces of shingles and nails in the yard, etc. These guys are pros!

What are we going to do when Chris Owen retires??? He repaired leaks in our low-slope modified bitumen roof that *three* previous repair companies failed to repair. As with many mid-century moderns, the construction of this home makes it a challenge to maintain. Ours is a fine specimen. In 1952, the owner-occupant started to build this home himself, and then he handed it over to a professional to finish. Everything is irregular -- everything. Although the roofing material itself is in fantastic shape, it has leaked like mad where it meets a stacked stone chimney at a low-slope angle. The design of the roof is at fault; it funnels water to the wrong places in the worst way. Just a nightmare. During heavy rains, the leaks have filled a number of sizeable buckets around the fireplaces. During rainy weeks, we have just left the buckets out and dumped them once or twice a day. Three repair companies tried to repair these leaks, "not making any promises", and then threw up their hands. Chris Owen came to the rescue. He charged a reasonable price for the challenge he faced, did a terrific job in no time at all, and gave us a *one-year warranty*. I nearly fainted. I wanted to hug him but restrained myself for his sake. Magnificent, miraculous, fantastic, worth every cent.

It rained heavily that week, but the following week he came out and performed the services. No sign of leakage after two heavy rains. Chris gave a one year guarantee. Unfortunately the repair lessened but did not solve the problem. Chris committed to coming back for a followup but it was delayed for a long time, although I only remembered to call him when it rained. Eventually he did come back and did more work, but the roof is still leaking. I'm going to have to get someone else to do it. Chris is a nice guy and his prices are low, but I don't think he knew what he was doing on my job.

This is the fourth time I have used this roofer and each time he has been successful in locating leaks and fixing them. We have an architect-designed home (and large skylight) and it is very difficult to fix. Chris is the only roofer who has ever discovered the problem and then fixed it. He always is able to match our shingles and he is quite professional in his work. We are getting close to having our roof replaced and, when we do, he will be the one to do the job.

This service provider went off on a toot, saying he can't compete with all the Mexicans. He was practically screaming over the phone. I didn't catch his name, but I thought it was strange. I ended up hanging up on him.

After the recent storms, I noticed that I had some missing shingles in addition to a set of shingles that had noticeably buckled up over an arch in my roof. I called Chris and he came over within the hour, looked over the roof with me, explained my options and provided me with his estimate of $240. After he provided me his estimate, I remembered that I had some damaged fascia that had fallen from my house, and I asked if he could replace it and just add the cost to my estimate. He and his partner got to work right away, but then informed me that they would be leaving and then returning later. After working for approximately a half hour, they left, and then a half hour later, returned as promised. I was surprised to hear my doorbell after about another 45 minutes- Chris was at the door to inform me that the work was all finished! He told me that he was able to replace the damaged fascia, and that he also noticed some additional missing shingles and fascia damage that he took care of while on the roof. When I asked how much I owed, expecting a significantly higher number than the estimate, he repeated his original estimate amount. I was very pleasantly surprised at how quickly and nicely this work was done as well as how generous Chris was with his time and resources.

He returned two days later and repaired everything plus extras I hadn't even thought about. I was very impressed with the quick, thoughtful, experienced manner this job was done.

Chris took a while to come out. He has been very busy and the weather has not always cooperated. However, we were persistent because we liked him so much when he came out to do the estimate. When he finally came out, he was excellent! He did all the work requested and finished some extra work that we wanted done as well. Chris and his team are incredibly professional.

Wood shake roof was leaking at front and rear outside walls and in upper bedroom under an asphalt roof. Gutters had separated from house. I called December 31 and Chris was over for an estimate within an hour. He provided an estimate, said he could get someone over to place a tarp over the asphalt section before precip fell that weekend. Someone came and did the tarping as promised. Chris mentioned it would be a couple of weeks before he could get to my place for repairs, which turned out to be January 21-22. His initial estimate was on target and he found some additional problems with the gutters. We agreed to add the gutter work to the initial bid. He also found a couple of holes not visible from the ground that had been chewed into the exterior by squirrels (no extra charge to fix this). Work was completed and no leaks were noted in the two rain events since Chris and crew completed their work.

My garage roof was damaged when the wind and thunderstorms came through Kansas City early Saturday morning, December 27th so I phoned Chris to get on his list. Since so many others had experienced damage, I assumed I'd be at the bottom of the list since my damage was on a detached garage instead of my home. I was delighted and surprised when he and his son arrived on Tuesday the 30th to make the repairs. I'd found roofing shingles strewn throughout the yard and had piled them up alongside the driveway. He not only hauled them away but he also hauled away some small branches that fell during the storm that I'd stacked along the fence.

The price I paid for the work was definitely very fair. The work was done while I was away and was not all performed by Chris. The quality looked very rushed. Chris did come back and go over it after I complained. The roof has not leaked again.

He did a thorough job. He has been available for any needs I have had since like faulty gutter installation. It seems like a great roof and has a great warranty. He comes out when he says he will.

The owner is really easy to get a hold of. If you leave a message, he will return your call promptly. He shows up when he says he is going to. He keeps all of his appointments. His prices are very fair. He gets the job done quickly. There was a small issue with the repair, but he came out as soon as he could and fixed the problem right away.

The entire process went very well. Chris Owen, the owner, was very good to work with. The only problem was that I had to make one call a second time due to no response to the first call. This was a very minor problem and I would highly recommend this company for roofing work.

Tried contacting Mr. Own twice on the 3rd of November with NO RESPONSE to my phone messages. I tried again on the 4th of November with the same NO RESPONSE. I then contacted another roofing company and a representative from that company contacted me ... came to my home today ( November 5th) and will be submitting a bid tomorrow. Due to the LACK of RESPONSE Roof & Home Exterior Repair Specialist lost a customer.

Chris said he would come by the next day. I had cut a piece of wood the size I needed and had screwed the piece of wood into the space but was afraid of falling off the roof trying to screw it in properly. Chris used the piece of wood I had cut and finished the job with caulking and extra trim paint I had in the garage. He said I could pay him what I thought the job was worth, whatever I could afford, or pay him nothing because I had everything he needed to complete the job. I was REALLY surprised by his response. No wonder he is so busy. He is obviously very customer focused.

Noticed some rot on the fascia below my rain gutter on one corner of the house. I noticed the good reports that Chris Owen had received for past work and called him. I explained what I needed and he said that he would get over to take a look at the damage either that evening or the next day. Imagine my surprise to get a call from him within an hour, and he was already at my house assessing the situation. After getting his price quote for the work I gave my OK. All of this was done over the phone, as both, my wife and I were at work. When I got home about 5 hours later the fascia was replaced and repaired and you could not tell that there was ever a problem. Also Chris had gone the extra mile and checked over the entire roof sealing all the vents and chimney (which I didn't know was in really bad shape). All in all the whole experience was a pleasure, especially with how quickly Chris was at my house and how quickly he performed the work involved. I noticed on his bill, that he left, that he is a recipient of the Angie's List Super Service Award. It is easy to see why. Thank you Chris for such a wonderful job!
