Description of Work: A 75 year old driveway was washed out completely. It is 85 feet long and on a hill. I had five estimates. Phillips bid $3000 for 3 inches. Two bids were $2200 for 2 inches. Others were higher. The crew that did my drive had been paving streets in a suburban town. They and their equipment were professional. Note: I had 5 tons of AB3 dumped on my washed out drive at my cost which I spread by hand. The base under asphalt is everything. Three months later I am still very happy.

Description of Work: Re paved my driveway with 2" asphalt and put in a French drain under driveway. |Driveway is over 5,000 square feet, plus they dug extra deep in front of double garage to make sure no rain entered garage. Very professional, responsive and knowledgeable. Work completed in one day.

 + -1 moreIt went incredibly well. Phillips is primarily a large commercial paving company who does residential work as fill-in to keep their crews busy. Eight people showed up at 8:00 AM. Complete with all of the proper equipment and did a magnificent job. They were like a swarm of bees all with assigned tasks. They performed efficiently without any standing around. During the entire process they asked appropriate questions and kept me informed of all their actions. They were completed and on their way in three hours. It was incredible work and service. I would recommend them to any one. I found them through my neighbor who had them redo his driveway the previous year. I was impressed with their work habits and final product so I hired them when the need arose.
Description of Work: Re-paved driveway. Removed damaged areas and repair prior to paving.
