Description of Work: McGuire Lock & Safe sent the most professional and efficient service tech I've ever worked with before - John Wilson. He had a tough job to take care of for me. The builder of my home used the cheapest door knobs and locks possible for equipping our doors. They were also poorly installed, so the builder evidently had to re-work the doors several times. What a mess! John showed up on time, and had all the necessary parts and tools he needed to take care of my problem. He spent time meticulously working on each door to ensure they all worked properly, and he left me his card in case I ever had any questions or further concerns. I'd hire and recommend McGuire Lock & Safe again for sure!

Description of Work: I needed a key cut and programmed for my Lexus RX. They came up in a search on Angie's List as one of the top providers of automotive locksmithing in the KC area and they were only blocks from my house. The dealership wanted ...wait for it, wait for it, ...$542!! You read that right. $542. To be fair, I sourced a blank OEM replacement key on eBay for $112 and had McGuire Lock & Safe do the rest for $50 (they quoted me $60). All told, I had $162 invested in the key instead of $542. Very satisfied, to say the least. I even made 3 or 4 phone calls before my visit to make sure I had everything I needed and everything they needed. They were always very helpful and informative. 20 minutes and it was done.

+ -1 moreOverall McGuire Lock and Key is a great company and the people that work there are as friendly as they come. Appreciate their hard work and service. We had a couple hickups with communication, but they were very accomodating with the issues I had. Make sure when you order their services you know exactly what you want, because if they have to return at a later date (because they do not have the parts/equipment on the truck) they will attempt to charge you another service call fee. McGuire came to our residence to perfrom the services I listed above regarding rekeying, deadbolt and new lock system for 1 door. During their 1st service call they did not have a lock big enough for 1 of our doors in their truck inventory so had to order or find a lock of appropriate size. They did not explain that their would be another charge for return trip to finish the work. When I refused to pay a secondary service call fee because it was not my fault that they could not complete their services the 1st time, they agreed to waive that cost. I would definitely use McGuire again.

Description of Work: I locked myself out of our garage, since we lost the only key. Called McGuire at 2:30PM, and had the lock rekeyed to our house key by 4:00PM! Originally I wanted new keys, but the locksmith suggested just rekeying to the other locks--a great idea!
