Description of Work: We use Jose's for mowing. Jose is quick to respond and will text. I appreciate the fact that they show up every week. They use a weed eater and leaf blower to keep the yard nice. I am not super particular about my yard, so having it mowed/edged on a weekly basis is enough to keep me happy.

Description of Work: I contacted Jose's Lawn Care Service to reseed my lawn and cut back all landscaping for the winter. Very poor communication throughout, did not respond quickly to voicemails or texts and I had to ask repeatedly for formal (in writing at least) quotes. Wanted all payments in cash, very sketchy, and I did not comply. I could forgive all of this if the quality was top notch but needed to completely reseed in the spring (turned out great, which is why I decided to comment here) and certain items, like my roses, look awful with how poorly he cut them back. Will never consider using him again.

Description of Work: I called this provider because of great reviews. He was prompt in coming to view the work, give an estimate and followed up to perform the work in record time. He and his team arrived on time, did an extensive lawn clean up, removed a tree, added edging to established beds that needed work and weed barrier where needed.. They worked hard and did an excellent cleanup after performing their work. As I found that I needed additional work after the original estimate, we renegotiated a new price that was acceptable. Jose's team did a great job.

+ 0 moreJose came out the previous week and examined the situation and gave me his estimate. It was a bit higher than I would have preferred (but who doesn't want a lower price), but I knew there was a lot of work to be done and Jose confirmed that it would be about a day and a half to complete. I didn't mind the big bill because from what I'd read on Angie's List I had high expectations of the work he would do, and I wasn't disappointed. They arrived about an hour later than estimated, but once they were there it was right to work. He brought a three man crew and all of them got down to business and started cutting the grass, trimming the hedges, cleaning up the ditch, shrub beds and other areas covered with leaves. In the back they had to use the mower at least twice it was so bad. Though it was not even discussed in the estimate or listed on the invoice, his crew cleaned all the leaves and debris from the back patio and deck and put the furniture back in place. They cleared years of growth from beside the detached garage and removed the young trees threatening various cables running into the house. My fences have never been clearer of vines and overgrowth from adjacent property. The waste material was of such volume that they had to build up the sides of the trailer to haul it all off, but they got it all. I was so happy with my yard after they finished the slightly-higher-than-hoped-for price was not even an issue and I paid him happily. His price for maintaining my newly recovered yard every other week will be $40.00, which is spot-on for mowing and maintenance of a yard this size. I look forward to many seasons of having Jose take care of my lawn. He does good, thorough work for a fair price.
Description of Work: Mow front and large back yard with 2+ feet tall grass. Remove all leaves (including those built up in front drainage ditch) from previous season. Clear overgrown weedy/small tree infested areas on side of house and detached garage. Trim hedges and clear beds of leaves. Level mound of dirt on side of detached garage. Clear fences of vines and weeds as well as vegetation growing over fence from adjacent properties. On their own they also cleaned the back patio and deck of leaves and branches and cleared the roofs of the house and detached garage. Haul off all leaves and clippings.

+ -1 moreI needed work done on a rental property where the tenant had let the grounds go to pot. It was horrible. I didn't think I could get anyone to clean it up, much less for a decent price. I contacted Jose and he's the nicest guy. He kept me updated when not being able to check things out when he was originally going to, but got there within a few days. Quoted me a fair price and got the work done the next day ! I'm so excited to see my property looking nice again. I have every intention on hiring him to do my own lawn next year.
