Good Earth Water Gardens

Dan and his team did a great job. They worked very hard and cleaned up everything. They returned to check on and adjust the sprinklers and heads. As I stated in an earlier review of the initial big deal I purchased, his plans were hand drawn, detailed, and included pictures of his suggestions for plantings. The actual completed project looks beautiful 6 weeks later. We enjoy our yard so much more now. As a big plus our golden retriever tracks in a LOT less mud. We could not be more pleased with the results and highly recommend Good Earth Outdoor.

Everything went smoothly. It took one day to clear out the old vegetation. The next two days was when the real transformation took place. The crew was punctional and polite. Dan Stanza talked with me a couple of times during the project. He even dropped by and watered some of the new plants after the project was completed. I would definitely use this company again and recomment them to friends and neighbors.

I contacted this company requesting a design & estimate for landscaping work. I received a very prompt response from them to which I responded the following morning. I thanked him for the "prompt response" & then provided more details about the work we were needing (which was what he had requested)... Never heard from him again! That was 2 months ago. We have since contracted with another company that was very responsive to our needs.

They did an awesome job. They took the time to teach us about the plants and the lawn and how to care for them. Looking forward to them doing more work in our back yard and on the south side of the house. They have a 1 year warranty which is amazing.

The add I purchased for $49.00 was for an evaluation and a $250.00 CREDIT toward work done. There was no stated minimum. I requested pricing on the above work and some additional work in backyard. I told Mr Stanza that the front yard was the project I wanted but might do additional work in back depending on cost. Mr Stanza provided separate pricing for both projects. I elected to only the one at $975, less credit. Mr Stanza said that since my project was smaller in scale he would "split it with me" and apply $125.00 discount.. Since I already invested $49.00 I felt somewhat trapped. Communication was not the best. I would text a question and wait several days for an answer. I asked if I could get a larger sumac and received no reply and what was planted seemed very small for the overall cost of the project. When I asked the status of the project he texted , Wednesday, Thursday or Friday. The showed up Thursday. I would have expected a call or text Wednesday advising they would do it Thursday.

He showed up on time, gave me a good estimate and was very nice, but I won't be doing any landscaping at this time.

The workmen showed up as promised and quickly dug down to the depth needed. They dumped the ab3 in the area and tamped it down well. The dirt and grass clods were distributed around other low spots in the yard (and there were many!). A new hole was dug for a fire pit to a depth of around 12" and the previous location was also filled in with dirt. An existing garden bed was edged with existing bricks and that area was nicely covered with a black mulch material. The patio area itself was also edged with bullet shaped edgers and the earth was mounded up to the edge of those pieces to prevent tripping hazards. Since I was having this work performed somewhere other than my own home, I was not able to see the work when it was nearly completed after the first day. When I did see it, I had some questions about the semi-circular shape and the texture of the ab3. Dan (owner) and his father were very agreeable about coming back out to make a shape adjustment (I hadn't thought it was curved enough) and to finesses the sod and dirt in the yard. I was especially pleased that they were willing to make the adjustments and make sure we were all happy before we paid in full. And all of this was done with the added pressure of us (and lots of other people, I'm sure) wanting it done before the Easter weekend so that the kids could have a nicer yard to play in. Heck - even the shape issue was somewhat our own doing because my son-in-law removed the sticks that we has laid out in the grass beforehand to mark the patio line! But as I said, Dan was very patient and was determined that we end up with what we expected, even though it took another trip out. Very easy to work with and very professional. I will definitely call Good Earth again.

I received a plan and proposal a couple of weeks later. While I did like the plan he'd sketched out for me, It was more than I'd budgeted for, so I decided to make most of the changes myself over time.

I purchased a big deal package on 2/19/2014 thinking that early in the year they wouldn't be too busy. Dan called and scheduled a visit for the following week. He then called me the day of the meeting and postponed due to car trouble I think he said. Finally on 3/4/2014 we met with Dan's dad Glenn he measured the yard and asked us many questions. He was at the property for about an hour. On 3/21/2014 I again contacted Dan to ask where we were on the plan. He responded that he was very busy and would get me something the in the next few days. He implied that their schedule was filling up for the spring and that they might not have time to do our project for quite sometime but that he would get me the drawing soon. I finally got an email with a drawing, cost list and pictures of proposed plants on 3/30/2014. The drawing of the proposed plan was a very rough hand-drawn thing not at all what I was expecting. Cost list was more detailed and gave a pretty good overall list of what would be done and what it would cost. I was very concerned that he was proposing to take down a large section of chain-link fence but didn't show a solution for putting it back anywhere. We have two large dogs and must have the fence. We haven't done anything as of yet. We have decided to get further proposals and see what develops. Project is on hold for now. These guys seem like really nice guys. I would have felt comfortable with them doing the work but felt there was a bit of lack of interest and that perhaps the Angie's list Big Deal may have overwhelmed them a bit. No work done and project is on hold.

The landscaping plans were great. They were very responsive to requests for alternate plants/shrubs. The plans were able to be segregated into phases very easily. This review, though, isn't complete until we schedule the work and it is done. But so far, so good.

There were no troubles with scheduling and there were no additional fees beyond the cost of the deal. When they came out, they spent about an hour on the evaluation. They will get back to us with the plans in about 7 to 10 days. Everything has turned out great!

Ok but the bid seemed pricey to me.

They were very nice and professional in the consultation, but I never actually got around to finishing the landscaping project. The price was reasonable and I was satisfied with the quality of the design.

We bought the deal to get a drawing of landscaping ideas and a bid for the work to be done. They really listened to what we wanted, how much (or little) upkeep we would be able to do once it was in. He even listened to us about our budget and gave us the bid in 4 parts - so we could see how much the "parts" would cost us. We ran out of time with the weather this fall, but plan on having them put in the first "part" this spring.

Needed LOTS of major cleanup, plantings, pruning, etc. A team of guys came and gave me back a good looking front yard and back courtyard.

They did a very good job all in 1 day

They were very friendly and easy to work with but not what I excepted. They were punctual and courteous, but I was expecting the design to be something more.

I called Good Earth to help me move a compost pile that did not appear to have been adequately maintained. I decided I would like it removed. It was difficult to find a company that would provide assistance or even return a call. Good Earth did. I had found someone else to help with the process in the meantime, however, I appreciated their call back. I would consider calling them back for future lawn maintenance or landscaping in the future.

We are very pleased with our new landscape and have received many compliments from neighbors. Glenn, very patiently, helped us determine what needed to be done with the landscaping around our recently purchased home. Once it was determined what needed to be done, Glenn and employees worked promptly and efficiently to get the work accomplished. Everyone was courteous and professional. They were a pleasure to work with! We will definitely use Good Earth again and highly recommend them for any landscaping needs.

We are very pleased with the end result of our landscaping. The crew worked hard and cleaned up after themselves each day. Initially, the cost was higher than our budget, but after letting Glenn know what our budget was, he came up with some ideas to get us to that amount without compromising the overall plan. We are looking forward to enjoying our back-yard now that it has some character!

Plan was well done and met all our expectations. A good variety of plants and some ground treatments were recommended. Cost estimate was more than we expected, but we plan to modify it to suit our needs.

Dan was very accommodating and wanted me to be happy, which I was very happy with his punctuality and work. I would highly recommend him!!

Excellent work by a small company. Their expert level of knowledge in landscape design was used to install a very creative garden of sustainable shrubs, trees and plants. Company owner Daniel Stanza was cooperative, collaborative and made a special effort to ensure the end product was exactly what we wanted and more. The workers were punctual, respectful of our privacy and displayed an excellent work ethic. We highly recommend Good Earth Outdoors LLC for any landscaping projects. We plan to use them again to do further landscape renovation in our back yard.
