Good Earth Water Gardens

We can't even begin to show our full appreciation for Dan, his brother Kevin, and the team at Good Earth Outdoor. We had a two-tiered retaining wall that was falling over with outdated landscaping. Dan listened to every single one of our concerns and ideas. His team dismantled the old walls, built two new ones with proper drainage, landscaped, and added lighting. Our main concern was the construction of the wall being done properly, but his team explained what they were doing and why, every step of the way. They even reused our existing blocks, which ended up being more work for them, but saved us a ton of money. We will use Good Earth for all of our future landscaping/hardscaping projects. Thank you guys for helping us make our house, our home.

Dan from Good Earth came out and gave us ideas on what could be done. We really like working with him. He took our needs and wants into consideration and drew up the plan that we decided upon. We now have new bushes in front and a rock wall by our steps. The work was done by Dan and his brother Kevin. Several times during the job, Dan walked us through what would be done so that we had no surprises. Both Dan and Kevin are very nice people and they were willing to go the extra mile to make sure that we were happy with the job. We are very satisfied and would gladly recommend them to anyone needing landscaping work done.

Exceptional experience: stayed on budget, made adjustments as requested, and they truly cared how we felt throughout the entire process. This was huge project that began in early June and just wrapped up mid July due to the unpredictable weather challenges.

I have been trying to get three bids on a project for about two and a half weeks. Got one bid on day one. Since them I have been stiff-armed or ran around by contractors that I have found either on the internet or on Angie's list. Dan at Good Earth listened and understood and asked me to send a job list and pictures so that he could bid the work that I need to get financing to get the money to get the work. He understands that he may not get the work due to the scope of the work, I need services he doesn't provide like pool work and carpentry, but he also understands that if I can't get bids then neither he nor anybody is getting work from this job. Dan is awesome. Thanks Dan.

Dan Stanza and his team did a terrific job on our new landscaping. After having a new driveway and walkway installed, our yard needed to be filled up to the new levels of the drive and walkway. In addition, our landscaping had become overgrown and full of weeds. Dan spent nearly an hour with us, walking the yard and talking about what we wanted to accomplish with the project. He then stayed and spent more time walking the property and drawing up a plan. He took into consideration the specific requests we made and also explained when something we asked for might not be a good option. The plan was creative and also provided a solution for some drainage issues we were having. The work was accomplished in a very timely manner and with a high level of professionalism. Dan then took the time to walk me through all of the new plantings, as well as providing good information on how to care for them. Finally, he has followed up several times to see how everything is doing, and even stopped by to inspect on his own and apply some weed killer in a couple of areas. I would highly recommend Dan and the team at Good Earth Outdoor!

Daniel met with me to discuss my concerns and look at the area requiring attention. He took the time to ask plenty of questions to make sure we were both on the same page. He was then able to draw up a design on the spot, complete with pricing. We scheduled the work for the following month. He and his team were very professional and completed the work as agreed. Even with the unusual amount of rainfall we've experienced this summer, Daniel's design has proven to have stabilized my yard from additional erosion. Additionally, it is absolutely beautiful to look at. I am delighted!!!

We highly recommend Dan and Good Earth Outdoor. He listened to what we liked and it showed in the design, which he was very helpful in explaining. He was easy to work with, was flexible when we had to solve a few challenges, and did exactly what he said he would do when he said he would do it. The cost was fair and reasonable (we had two other designs and proposals on the project). We were so pleased with the initial work we expanded it to fix a landscaping problem in the back of the house we hadn't intended to address for a few years. We've received quite a few compliments from neighbors and most important, my wife loves the new front yard.

Dan was great to work with. He was fundamental in the design and plant suggestions. We had some ideas of what we wanted but mostly relied on his expertise as we have a huge backyard and a lot of area to cover. He also was very patient with us as we changed our minds from the original plan. We had tree/shrubs removed, raised garden removed, some plants transplanted and new plants/shrubs added along with a lot of mulch and dry creek beds. Dan and his crew worked really hard to get the job done! I would recommend Good Earth Outdoor and plan on using them again when we are ready to get the front yard done.

I went with another provider who I felt was more prepared and detailed with many different plants suitable to our area. The drawing from Good earth was hand drawn with very generic plants. I honestly cannot remember the total cost of service since I didn't go with them. It was fair though.

We hired Good Earth Outdoor to redo our front flower bed which was beyond overgrown. They provided multiple suggestions of what to do with the bed and incorporated our requests. The estimate was very fair and they even fixed up the rock wall and brought in extra soil after a huge rain at no extra cost. It took them an afternoon to complete the project which would have taken us more than one weekend. During the process they accidentally hit our sprinkler drip line which the also repaired for us at no charge. We were very satisfied with their work.

We are reviewing the plan and will decide on what to do next.

....It's been going fine so far. The experience went great. I don't know about taking them up for their offer yet.

Dan and his crew do an amazing job. They are professional and courteous. I have used them twice, and will use them from now on!

They did what they said they would do and ended up using less materials so they didn't charge for them. It looks nice and they worked very hard to make sure that it was done on time and to my satisfaction.

We were expecting a little more out of it. We basically got a handwritten drawing. Scheduling the service was okay. When he was here he provided good information. The response was a little bit slow and the product that we got was not what we were expecting. I would tell a friend or a neighbor looking to get a similar service done to try somebody else.

It went well. They got the job done when they said they would. I had an issue with a few blocks and some rock left in my yard, but they came out again to address my concerns. They did some things on their own accord which was thoughtful... they tried hard to reuse some grass moving from one spot to another to minimize the seeding that I'll need to do in the spring; they put down weed fabric in my rock bed which I wasn't expecting; they placed some extra soil in some places against my house where I needed it. I didn't get a chance to get similar bids to compare apples-to-apples estimates, so I don't know if the cost was good/bad, but it seemed reasonable. Nice guys.

The service went okay. I felt like they lost interest in my service when I said I was not looking to follow through on the project since I had a kitchen remodel going on at the time. The design was lacking and mostly just a rough sketch. I did not think the design was worth the price. I had no problem scheduling the service.

First was the main project and then I've had some little things done like they planted some trees, they came out and did some drainage for me. They put in some sod for me in the backyard, these are after the main thing. I'll use them next year when they do my waterfall. They're on time. It's a small company; a father-son company. They have only three or four regular employees and they are always on the site. The owners actually do the work. They're not the kind that comes in, sells and then walks away. They are on site everyday, very customer friendly, very responsive and they are just good people. They're down to earth, good blue-collar and don't give you a line of bull; they tell you what they can do and if they can't do it, they let you know. They tell you when they can do it and if they can't make it, they call and give you a reason why or whatever. They're just one of the best companies I ever worked for. In the last five years, we've had probably close to $80,000 worth of work done to our home and they are by far are one of the best contractor I've ever worked with. I had several landscape guys come out here, several companies, they're the only ones that have service call, they're very reasonable. Other companies didn't have that when they first initially came out. They're the only company that gave me an estimate and under $10,000 and I thought it was very reasonable.

We really enjoyed working with Good Earth from star to finish. Dan and his father, Glen, as well as their entire crew were very responsive and courteous while working on our home. They seemed to take care and consideration to work within our budget. We would recommend them and use them again for future projects.

They must have been busy because it took forever for them to get back with me with a "plan." It ended up being a handdrawn sketch that showed where we could put a few bushes. Not impressed. Wasted $75.

I called to have an estimate, gave an appointment on Saturday, then called the day before hat he cat do it, the never returned my calls or text messages to reschedule, well that tells me a lot.

Dan and his dad were great to work with in redoing our small bed out front. We bought our house last year and the previous owner had put in a nice bed under the front window, but the plants in the bed were hard to maintain and grew way to tall. Admittedly, with our busy schedules, we had let it get way out of hand this spring/summer. I called them on a Saturday asking if they could come give me a quote and they came the same day - 45 minutes after I called! Dan's dad looked at our bed and discussed what we would like, gave us ideas of what we could plant that would look good, would be easy to maintain and would allow us to keep the existing bed structure. He was also great to point out things he would do to improve the bed and gave us the option of doing them or not. They were also up front in letting us know they were quite busy and it may be a couple of weeks before they got to us. As weather created some delays, they were always quick to communicate and let us know. We were not as concerned with timing and we let them know that, just that they kept us in the loop, which they did. The day they came out to do the work, they were in and out in an afternoon! Our new bed looks awesome. They also brought in some reinforcing rock to help repair our previous wall at no extra charge. During their work they accidentally cut through a drip line in the bed and Dan's dad was out the next day to fix it, also free of charge. We appreciate their work and customer service. We will definitely use them again for any additional projects.

The offer thru Angie's List sent a lot of business Dan's way. He did a pretty good job of staying in touch considering the special and the time of year. He was prompt in returning my calls or texts. His drawing was exactly what we asked for, not a lot of unwanted extra. He made adjustments readily and was open to my suggestions. His crew worked hard and Dan's Dad was on the crew and made sure everything was planted to his exact specifications, he was very detailed oriented which I appreciated. Nice guys and hard workers. I will call again for further needs.

Ver well. First they had to remove all the old landscaping and then replace with the new. They were in and out in less than a day.

They are the best landscaping company I have ever worked with and I will use them and no other for all my landscaping needs. It is a family owned business. Father and son and 5 helpers. They came out promptly early in the morning, cleaned up after themselves, and were very pleasant and professional. I couldn't have asked for better service.
