Bordner is a very poor company. They used questionable looking subcontractors who showed up in an old beat up van with no plates and spoke little to no English but most importantly could not put on a roof properly. They laughed and joked while working and jumped around to other units before finishing ours. There was no supervision and no final walkthrough of the job. Our old 15+ year roof was so much better than the roof they put on because the old one DIDN'T leak. The new roof leaked right away with the first rainfall causing us major sheet rock damage. And all their management could do was make excuses for the bad work and laugh at me when I was so upset. Even before the leak occurred, our own insurance company (who was nice enough to inspect the roof upon completion) told Bordner exactly what was wrong through emails and pictures, and this company STILL couldn't do it right. They finally fixed the outside problem but we are left with the interior damage and a roof that creaks and pops every day. They didn't tie down decking properly, they didn't overlap felt properly and the individual shingles are already losing granules and it's only a year old. They also didn't put down a tarp to catch the old materials and nails, and left bunches of nails on my roof and in my gutters. And to add insult to injury, they are refusing to do anything about the interior damage. Now they are hiding behind the skirt of their insurance company who has denied our claim. It doesn't even matter to them that I have proof with pictures and emails of the defective work as well as an email admission of guilt from them that they will take care of the interior damage. I constantly worry about what else might happen with this roof. And their warranty would be worthless- let's see, come back to fix bad work with additional bad work. What a joke. I would steer clear of this horribly inept, sloppy and unprofessional company that obviously does not care about doing good work.

My roof needed some fixing one of the pipes broke and my whole house was falling apart it was horrible , they manned to fix it so fast it only took two day .. My roof looks brand new

After talking with roofer after roofer, I finally found an outstanding contractor in Bordner Roofing of Raytown. Their representative Noel Brumble was the first salesman to actually accurately measure rather than guess the square footage of my home (1,275 sq. ft.) I regarded the price he quoted (approximately $6,000) as fair for tearing off the old wood shingles and installing new decking plus architectural comp shingles. The company gladly provided proof of insurance and other documents. The roofers were backed up by a project manager and very helpful office staff so that any questions could be handled promptly by email or phone.I am very pleased with the appearance and overall quality of the new roof.

Each work group was very professional and friendly and always ready to answer our questions.? Matt, our overall job supervisor, quickly responded the several times I needed to talk? with him.? One day he even made a special trip over to teach me how to open our new windows for when the time comes to clean them.? The installation crew cleaned them thoroughly after the installation.? One day was quite windy, and a section of our aging fence fell down.? The siding professionals were here, and asked if they could go fix it for me.? They refused to take any money..?Each day the workers cleaned up everything.? Everyone was telling me how I would be finding nails for months -- I have found ONE nail.? The house is so much more comfortable with the low-E glass windows.? I have the thermostat set 5 degrees higher in this 100+ heat, and the house is more comfortable than it ever has been.? I no longer hear the traffic noise from Quivira Road or from I-435.? Mary, the woman in the office, kept me up to date on scheduling and coordinating all tasks.? The house looks like it is new.? Our neighbors are very happy too.? I could not be happier with the service and the price.

Had Bordner (and some others) out to assess our house for work and recommendations. Original stucco had numerous areas of cracking. repair was determined to be ill-advised and not feasible given the extent of cracking and separation. Tom Barker was the sales person. He was prompt, polite, knowledgeable. He responded well to the numerous questions we had concerning options, price, timing, warranty, etc. Contact was through emails and phone calls which worked well. Once final decision to go forward with Bordner was made , we were put on their schedule, Since we were also having cavity insulation done by another party this required coordination between Bordner and Insulation company which Bordner office (Mary Jane) handled and handled very well. Job was then handed over to Matt Scott who was the Bordner project manager and our contact for the project (removal of old stucco, housewrapping, installation of new Hardie siding and window trim, and new window. Work commenced with set up of pump jacks needed for stucco removal. Crew worked efficiiently and quickly and was generally thoughtful in removal process which was messy., Appreciated that Bordner was able to assemble large crew of up to 10.men during stucco removal, wrapping, and siding install, which facilitated job completion in timely manner. Kitchen window replacement had been ordered but not available for install until after siding install was well underway. So work around was needed. Decision was made to replace all window trim (brick mold) - both the rotted and non-rotted. This was done concurrent with siding. Windows sills were replaced as needed.. Four window sills were missed or not identified by siding installers which caused issues when it came time to paint. (hardie primed planks were installed which would be finish painted when weather warmed in the spring). A few storm windows were damgaed in various stages of project but were eventually repaired and rehung. Larry McCoy was exceptional in his support of the project - with hanging storm windows, touch up painting, and whatever was needed to complete the job and keep the customer happy.

They did a good job. They came when they said they were going to come. They did what they said they were going to do. They wrote out the estimate and told me exactly what they were going to do. We had a leak that actually wasn't solved by that because I think that was caused by something else. They're good. I was impressed. They took photos of what they did. Actually, I'm going to call them back to have them check out the roof again. I like the way they work. They also did a good job diagnosing the problem. They said to me, "We can't totally tell if that's causing the leak but it's a problem," and it was.

The service was fine. The insurance paid for it. They do good work. Their responsiveness was good occasionally. Their punctuality has been great. The quality of the service was very good.

I had a good experience with them. They were a little pricey, but the job was a little tricky.

Fantastic company to work with, from bid to project completion. This was not a simple job--windows needed to be custom ordered, install was anything but easy due to location of landscaping/shrubs under window. But Bordner knocked it out of the park. Crew was professional and skilled and took great pains to make sure everything was done right--brought in a third guy to finish complex trim cuts when they ran into issues. Will be using for future window replacement.

The Bordner salesperson came to our house, took measurements, provided information and provided a quote. We put 1/3 down. There was one follow up question by email. Several weeks later they called and set up installation appointment. On the day of the appointment, they showed up and began installation. Everything went as planned. We are very happy with the windows. We will definitely call Bordner again in a year or two when we install the next batch of windows. There were no problems or issues. You can't ask for more....well maybe free windows but that's not likely.

When they came out, they were professional, kind, and fast. Borner Installation even accommodated me with installing new shingles that I wanted from Lowes. They worked efficiently, were done in 3 days, and cleaned up around the house. I am very pleased with the new roof and they even sent me a box of cookies after I made final payment. I would use them again and I recommend them to anyone.

It went really well. Workers were punctual, hard working, and pleasant, (sometimes they joked with me, posing as I was taking pictures of the progress of the work). They were cooperative in moving stuff so I could get in and out of the garage. The supervisors, Scott, and I believe Brian was the other supervisor, were great, visiting the site on a regular basis. They worked with me as I decided what color for the stucco, changing my mind a couple of times and making samples for me to see and match with paint for the rest of the house. The carpenters that they contracted were also terrific showing me any issues that needed attention. The end result: Our house looks great. We couldn't be more pleased.

I submitted a previous review for this job but I discovered after I submitted how to add a picture. I could not find a way to edit my review so I am submitting this second review. They did such a great job that I really would like to add the picture.

We met with Steve Anderson to discuss replacement of windows, two patio doors, and one entry door. Bordner was one of 6 quotes we received for this project. We wanted Marvin Infinity windows, and Bordner is one of the few in Kansas City that sell and install these windows. Steve was an excellent salesman. Took the time needed to answer all of our questions and explained all of our financing options. A real pleasure to work with, not only during this initial meeting, but all through our project until it was done to our satisfaction. A crew came out in November to complete the project. I will not go into great detail on the problems we experienced with the work this crew did. Suffice it to say, it was neither up to our standards nor Bordner's reputation for excellence. Over the course of the next couple of months (keep in mind - this was over the holidays and it was not great weather for outdoor work), we were in contact with Steve regarding our concerns. With a few glitches in communication, primarily within Bordner between departments, the company sent out Don Edwards to fully assess our issues, and, most importantly, resolve them. Don worked for an entire week to make our installation right. I can not say enough times what a great job he did. I teared up a couple of times in thanking him as I was so glad to have someone see the problems we saw and fix them. All of the work was completed in our satisfaction the first of February. I do not feel the problems we experienced are typical of working with Bordner. There was an issue of the wrong crew for the job, weather issues, and the holidays which lent themselves to our job. What I can not stress enough is this company's willingness to go above and beyond to make things right. Never once were we made to feel that our issues were not important or a priority. I would highly recommend this company.

Could have been any better! The consultant/salesman, the company, as well as the workmen were excellent. They were prompt, professional, and courteous. Would definitely recommend and use the company again.

It was wonderful and they did a great job. I would definitely recommend them for stucco work. The gentleman they sent was very knowlegeable, very prompt and easy to work with. The price seemed reasonable.

All work went smoothly. The workers showed up when scheduled and cleaned up after themselves each day. We were kept informed of issues, when they arose, and all issues were promptly settled and taken care of in a professional manner. All work performed was of high quality. I watched all the work being done and was impressed by the quality and care that all the workers showed in performing their work. There were no major issues that came up in dealing with Bordner. There were actually fewer issue than expected, given the scope of the work performed. The only issues that came up were associated with surprises in the original construction of the house and all were taken care to our satisfaction. I would definitely use this company for future work.

Bordner did a great job and is a name you can trust. They took care to match our previous roof product and made sure we were happy with the results.

Bordner did a great job in terms of quality of work, quality of materials and quality of people. I felt comfortable with everyone I dealt with. The only criticism is it was several weeks to get the installation scheduled. However, I understand it is a busy time of year and also I expect they are busier than some competitors due to the quality of work. They also had to order the windows as they were custom sized. Under the circumstances, the time for getting the window put in was probably reasonable. Border was not the least expensive estimate we received, but we selected them because they showed the best understanding of the scope of our problem and explained their plan for solving it. Their price was fair and appropriate for the scope of work which was significant because of the amount of rot around one of the old windows. I would recommend Bordner to a friend or family member. Overall, I give Bordner an "A".

I was impressed with the efficiency and expertise of the installers, and the carpenter in particular. The agent was and is still helpful whenever I have a question. They did a wonderful job, and I've been happy with the windows, so far. It was a good choice for me. I also filed and received an energy credit from my utility company for the energy efficiency.

The price included everything. I would hire them again in a heartbeat. They gave us an all inclusive contract so, if something came up, it was included in the price. I have not had any problems. They gave me one go to guy. If I had any problems, he took care of it. I cannot say enough good things about them.

We obtained 4 bids/estimates from various companies. Jeff W, Bordner sales rep, was the only one that actually opened/looked at our current windows to assess all issues and make recommendations. All other sales reps just wanted to sell us windows. I was impressed with that. Bordner had a window deal going on at the time - buy 5 windows and get one free - which helped to keep costs down. We liked the type of window that Jeff recommended. The window installation went very smoothly. Don, the window installer, was great! He was very courteous and professional. He was detail-oriented and worked hard to insure the windows were installed correctly. He also did a good job repairing the wood rot. He put tarps down to protect the floors and cleaned up the work area at the end of the day. He took down all of the window blinds and put them back up after the new windows were installed. The only issues we had were: 1) a long lag time between the windows being installed and scheduling the painting of all repairs/window trim. There was some confusion over the scope of work to be done between the painting company and Bordner which caused additional delays; 2) incorrect billing. The final bill did not show a credit for the amount we put down when the contract was signed/windows ordered. Jeff, the sales rep, was able to resolve both issues to our satisfaction. Overall, we were pleased with the project.
