Window World

I think that they provided excellent service. The price was very good. They came out and did just what they said they were going to do. The windows are very good quality. The job itself is pretty messy, but they tried to keep it clean as possible.

The workers came a little later than expected (only about 15mins) and they looked around at all the windows and checked the measurements out. I left them in my house while I was at work. They called me when they were about done and I looked over their work. I wish they would have told me in advance how dirty it gets. They cleaned up their mess just fine, but dirt had blown in from where the windows were So I had to vacuum everything from the floor to the upholstery. The actual installation of the windows was great. The craft of the job wasn't quite what I had expected. I live in an old condo from the 20's and there were numerous coats of paint on the windows, making it difficult to remove the wood moulding piece to remove the windows. I wish they had been a little more careful at slicing through the paint to get at the wood. It is a pain to have to go through and patch and paint! I knew I would have to do a little bit of work, but some areas had a lot of paint peeled off. One last thing, I wish the workers were in some sort of uniform. One of them had a Window World T-shirt on with jeans. The other two had shorts and t-shirts on, not at all related to what they were doing. At the least, they all could have had Window World T-shirts on.

I was satisfied with the work performed. The sales person who came out first was very personable. We have dealt with many windows with them. They are very good, professional and thorough. The installers were also professional and clean. I would recommend them to other people. They were very quick to respond.

The crew they sent did a moderate job of caulking and the flashing detail (metal pieces that divert water away from the window/building) was angled such that water was coming in through the weep holes and running inside the wall. This problem was only made worse because the bottom trim board on the outside of the condo was twisted out, letting water in behind it (our HOA's problem). After a few heavy rains, the bedroom window just below that one had water leaking in through the top. To fix it we had our HOA out to replace the upstairs window bottom trim board. Window World then also came back out and re-detailed the side and bottom flashing pieces as well as adding/redoing caulking. They have also put in an order for another window to replace the spotting one in a few weeks. The window looks really weather-tight now with the new trim board caulking and flashing detail. I don't believe that we'll have any more problems.

We had Window World replace 24 windows in one of our rental homes that was built in 1901 and still had the original windows. During the window removal process, one window weight came through the ceiling. Our Window World representative immediately called out for a sheet rock repairman and everything was fixed to our satisfaction. They treated our rental as if it were our main residence. Please understand that respect and attention to detail in a rental is difficult to find. The installation crew was very professional and experienced. For the money, we were very happy with the product received.

The installer does an excellent job, is dependable and timely. We can already see a reduction in our gas bill. I highly recommend the window to anyone.

They were right on time. It took them half a day. They removed all of the second floor windows first and replaced them and then repeated on the first floor. All windows were neatly caulked inside and out. They cleaned up, loaded up and were on their way. Everything went smoothly. We are very pleased and will hire them to replace the remaining seven windows in the house.

My home is only 10 years old, but one window does not open without coming completely out of the frame. I have asked several window companies about a repair, but all said it would have to be replaced. I saw a Window World booth at a Kansas City remodelling show and based on reviews on Angie's List I set an appointment for someone to come out to my home to give me an estimate to replace the problem window and one next to it (both need to match for cosmetic reasons). Jack came to my home, saw the problem and said it could probably be repaired for a fraction of the cost to replace two windows. He referred me to a local business for the repair. Wow. How often does that happen? If the window cannot be repaired to raise and lower properly, there is no question that Window World will get a call to replace the two windows.

Had to call back twice. One window uneven, one did not close properly.

I wasn't happy with the product. I didn't get a good feeling that the actual frame of the window would be fully covered. I would be more comfortable with their product if I needed smaller windows.

The salesman was very nice and gave several options for the windows. They did the work all in one day and worked hard the whole time. We have a fifty-year-old house so there was some molding work that didn't look quite finished, but they made me aware of that beforehand. I think they did a great job and made everything look as nice as possible. The finished product turned of fine.

The initial company representative was very friendly and NOT pushy. We spoke about several options, and he returned to go over the details once we had made some decisions. Again - NO PRESSURE - very nice and relaxed. The installation team came and did just what we expected - went straight to work and plowed through the job. Excellent!!!

They are excellent as far as I'm concerned. They were here on time, clean and efficient. They did a good clean up job and were courteous. They knew what they had to do and did it. They are very experienced. Their price is comparable to their competitors.

I thought that they provided great window service. There are other companies out there that are less expensive but, the install is not as professional. The crew was the most professional one I have ever ran across. They did a very good job.

I have talked with them a few time and they have a good price for a good product. They have come out and talked to me. I have been to their show room.

I contacted them in the winter of 2008. They were able to come to my home, measure my home and provide an estimate extremely promptly. Their installation crew was very courteous and professional. One window is now leaking and they have been very prompt in addressing this issue. I definitely intend to purchase the remainder of my replacement windows from this company.

Had an initial estimate with Window World, and two other contractors that were rated well on Angie's List. Window World was the cheapest by over $2000, and the windows appeared to be as good of quality as the others. The day of install a crew of 3 showed up around 9:00am to remove 14 aluminum frame windows, and install replacement windows in their place. The crew was very courteous and professional, and did a good job with removal to make as little mess as possible (put down drop cloths) given the fact that it is a pretty messy job. The wrapping of the windows was done well, and we had them install the inside stops as well, so it gave it a good look when completed. We're very happy with the windows themselves, though almost anything would have been better than what was in place. I was concerned initially with the low cost as compared to the other estimates we received, but the windows seem to be of good quality and operate very well. They advertise $199 windows, but there's no way you'll really be able to pay that little for them, they do add on costs for things like stops, aluminum wrap, etc., but even with that added on they ended up being less than other estimates. They've made a significant difference in sound and temperature, especially on the north facing side of the house, will be interested to see how much of a difference they will make on utility costs over the summer and winter months. Overall, very happy with the installation and windows themselves. I plan to have them back and replace the slider door in the future.

They did offer a coupon with the windows for being an Angie's List member.

Called to get someone out for an estimate. Salesman was on time and got right to the point. Were not ready to make decision yet so I asked salesman to come back in a couple days. He came back and we decided to go with 8 windows. He measured them and told us another man would come out to measure in a couple days. Company called a day later to setup the other measurement. Man came out 3 days later and measured again to verify. Was told 4-6 weeks for windows to come in. Company called about 3.5 weeks later and scheduled the install for the next week. Installers were on time and got right to work. Were very nice and responded to all the questions I had. Installers were done in about 4.5 hours and walked me through the finished work to verify I was satisfied. About 20 minutes after they left a Window World inspector came out to review the work and see if I had any questions. Overall a Good Experience and I would recommend and use them again.

I wanted to replace the 7 old windows in the house. The rep. gave me options on replacing the large picture window with two double sash windows on the side. That day I received the estimate. Two days later the contractor came to measure the windows and order them. They told me it would be 4-6 weeks before they came in. It was just under 4! The workers came and installed them in one day. They worked quickly and carefully, took away the old windows and cleaned up the areas both inside and out doors. The final cost was exactly the same as the estimate. I'm thrilled with the new windows.

Overall, it went really well. I called and got an estimate, then he came back out and measured. I had a little trouble getting them to call me back when the window came in, but I called them. The new window looks great and the installers were very professional.

Only two installers showed up on a Wednesday around 10:30 a.m. They complained about the measurements of the picture windows stating that it would take more work than anticipated. They started around 11:00 and did not lay any tarp or attempt to protect the floors in anyway. They stayed until around 7:00 p.m. when I had to leave for an evening meeting. At that time, I was asked the pay the balance although the work was not finished. They had only finished encasing 4 of the 9 windows! I was told they would be back on Thursday or Friday to finish up. Meanwhile, the bare wood was left exposed to heavy rain. When we called the general manager on Friday afternoon to complain about the exposed wood getting wet and inquiring as to why nobody had showed up and did not bother to call, he simply stated that "it rains in Kansas" and that's the way it goes during their busy season and offered a half-hearted apology. He said the guys would be back out on Saturday morning. They came and finished the work in about 3 hours, all the while looking pretty upset that they had to work on a Saturday morning. Good product, disappointing service.

Carlos, our sales rep gave a time frame of 4 to 6 weeks to have the windows manufactured and the time frame was met. The windows were installed in one day and look great! They are easy to operate and clean. They are energy star rated. We paid for an upgrade of argon gas and also to have the windows wrapped to increase energy efficiency.

I had three estimates. They seemed to be as good as any of the other companies, but they were $6,000 cheaper than the highest bidder and $4,000 cheaper than the other bidder. Brian Smith was very nice, and even sent me a thank you not for allowing him to bid for the job.

The salesman, Jack Baldridge, was very knowledgeable and explained the windows in detail. He also answered all of our questions. We were very impressed. The installers were very professional. They arrived on time and did a great job. They also demonstrated use of the windows and answered all of our questions. I think we got great windows and they were priced well below the other estimates we received.
