They are very good. They call and come when they say they are going to come. They do a good job. They had to come back and repair one window and they did that. I would recommend them to anyone.

I couldn't have been more pleased. The installer, Tony, arrived on time and did an excellent job of installing my new windows and of explaining to me how to operate them, that is, how to open them and clean them both inside and outside. He even put back up the brackets for my venetian blinds so that I could put up my blinds without having to drill holes and re-install the brackets. I love the new windows. They are beautiful, easy to open and clean; and, best of all they are well insulated. The old windows, which came with the house when it was built, would actually ice up on the inside if the outside temperature dropped below 12 degrees fahrenheit. Since having the new windows installed, one morning the outside temperature dropped to a record-breaking minus 10, yet the inside of the new windows was relatively warm with no ice or condensation build up. I would not hesitate to recommend Window World and the salesman, Dan Fair.
Description of Work: As a result of this company's A rating in Angie's list, I called the company to come out and give me a price on four new windows in my home. A salesman named Dan Fair came to my home right on time. He was very polite and professional in explaining the product and informed me what I needed to do to prepare for the actual installation. The story of the actual installation will be provided in the following section.

Overall the project went well with installation 2 weeks earlier than original estimate. Sales person on original appointment was late (he did call) and crew was not fully informed of the work scope which caused a bit of confusion when they arrived. All was sorted in the end and crew stayed until they finished the job. Crew was extremely friendly and communicated well all through the project. Window quality seems to be good (winter will tell the full story) and noise level is definitely better which was one of my major issues.

Overall we were very pleased with service. The installers were prompt and courteous and did an excellent job. We are very pleased with the quality of the windows and the finished product. The issues that lead me to give a lower score in professionalism are the following: 1 - The sales rep was late to our initial visit 2 - we had 1 misunderstanding with type of trim to be installed that was discovered on installation day but it was all worked out very quickly with 1 phone call made by the installers and caused no delay. 3 - When are windows were measured the employee had to ask to borrow a ladder to measure one of our windows or said he would have to reschedule the appointment. 4- Our sales rep called us at one point to to find our if we had been measured yet.

Everything went well. Their price was very fair and they performed the work quickly and professionally. And they even came back a year later for no charge to put the sliding patio doors back on track after a tenant removed them to move and put them back incorrectly.

Replaced five windows and one picture window.First someone came to show me the product and write up a contract. The windows came in earlier than expected and the work was done promptly. The worker insisted I check every windows to make sure I was satisfied. I have had no problems with the windows from day one.
Description of Work: Prompt and professional. Although windows advertised at $189-when you added exterior trim, grids and one repair, came to about$250 per window. Very pleased with work. They sealed the windows great. Workers were prompt, professional and completed in one day. Great cleanup. I will definitely use them for my last three window replacement job.

Overall the installation process was good. The installers were very nice and professional. We had a couple of issues with the installation, but Window World corrected the problems. Over the last year since the installation we have saved approximately 15% on our energy costs. The windows are functioning great with no problems. I gave the windows a B rating only because I know there are higher end windows out there. We are very happy with these for the money.

They delivered on everything they promised. The only thing I didn't like was that the sales person spent an hour to an hour and a half and really it could have just taken 20 minutes. He was a true, old school salesman and it just wasn't necessary. It kind of felt like we were letting him go through his sales pitch, but really he just needed to tell us what the product was. He could have been a lot more straightforward. They did do everything they promised, I don't have any complaints. The windows came in on time, they installed them quickly and it was exactly as they said it would be.

I got an estimate, but did not have them perform the service. (I wanted a door done also and they couldn't replace the door.) They were one of the lowest bids with the best quality, and if I was only having windows replaced, I would definately use them. They did give me different information on the lead laws than some others did (4 contractors had 3 versions of the lead laws).

It took three and a half months to get my window order/installation completed with a lot of headaches along the way. I'm happy with the performance of the windows but I would not work with Window World again.
Description of Work: My initial meeting w/ Window World was 10/3/09. I went ahead and placed my order for 10 windows that day and Jack told me my windows would take 4 wks to come in. 4 wks later they arrived and they came out to install them on 11/11/09. I had ordered grids to be placed inside 4 of the windows. When they arrived to install the windows, those 4 windows did not have grids in them. They went ahead and installed the windows and said they would order the correct replacement sashes that had grids. When I called WW a couple days later they actually hadn’t ordered them like they said they would. The crew did an OK job w/ the installation but there were a few minor things that weren’t up to my standards…they weren’t consistent in the color of caulk they used around the inside of the windows. One window has clear caulk around part of it and white caulk around the rest of it so it looks like half the window isn’t caulked. A few gaps had opened up on some of the windows after they caulked…instead of filling those gaps up with the same white caulk, they used clear caulk so it looks like there are still gaps there. There were some gaps that opened up in the caulk around the outside of the windows as well but I just borrowed a neighbor’s ladder and fixed those myself. The trim they used around the windows on the outside doesn’t meet up in 45 degree angles in the corners on most of the windows. It looks pretty sloppy, like they didn’t care about the quality of their work. I was surprised that no one from the WW office called to make sure I was happy with the installation…I would have thought that would just be good customer svc. 4 wks later my replacement sashes with the grids arrived…well the grid in one of the window sashes was bent so they had to order a replacement one. On 1/11/10 I went home over lunch to get the final replacement sash installed…when I got home the installer told me the new sash didn’t have a grid in it. So they had to order another one yet again. The person I talked to at the WW office said he’d reimbursement me for my missed lunch but wouldn’t pay for anything extravagant!! I passed on that and suggested he refund me the $152 I paid to have grids put in the four windows considering all the hassle I had gone through. He said he’d check on it. On 1/20/10 the guy from the office (I think his name was Chad?) came out to install the replacement sash once again. This time the sash was the correct one but it had locks that were different from the one that was on the old sash. He said he could change the lock but would have to borrow my tools because he didn’t have any. I thought it was very unprofessional that he didn’t come with his own tools. When I questioned him about whether they were going to give me the $152 refund, he hesitated and acted like he wasn’t going to until I recounted all the trouble I had gone through to get my window order completed. He finally agreed and I received a check w/in 3 wks.

The salesman was nice and didn't pressure us for a sale. However, he failed to tell us that our expensive BLINDS WOULD NO LONGER FIT THE WINDOWS! We did not figure this out until the windows had been ripped out and my husband realized the new windows were wider and set into the frame less deep than our old windows. We had to have them insert the windows in a way that they would not normally have done, in order to allow our blinds to somewhat fit in. We spent thousands on the blinds, and were not prepared to replace our blinds. Now the blinds stick out from the windows and the top part of them extend way beyond the window. It looks awful. Had they told us our blinds would not fit, I would have kept our old windows and simply replaced the glass in them with the low-e energy efficient glass (which you can do by hiring a glass company, and for us, it would have been $2,000 cheaper to have done so). In retrospect, I wish I had hired the glass company for $3,000 vs Window World for $5,000 and then my blinds would still look nice. I think the windows themselves are fine, and if I hadn't had the problems with the blinds, I would have been happy enough. But before you go with Window World, BE SURE AND ASK IF YOUR BLINDS WILL FIT because clearly the salesman may fail to tell you this.

Their salesman was very nice and very professional. It was a little bit pricier than what they advertised, but I did upgrade the windows just a little bit. They were very prompt and did a good job of installing. The only thing is that one of the locks was broken on the windows that they installed, so they had to come back and replace it. When the guy came in to install the windows, they said they were going to be there in the morning. However, they didn?t actually show up until the afternoon. It was for a rental home, so the tenant had to take a day off work and he had to sit and wait for half a day. They had to come back the following day too because of their delay in arrival. They didn?t call and let me know that they were going to be late.

Salesman came out, answered questions, no pressure. After he left, I ended up calling him two or three times more with other questions......also providing me with a long list of previous customer addresses and phone numbers that I could call, or even go drive by to see their work.......I did that.......once satisfied with the answers and the quote, we agreed to an installation date. Three men came out on that date, (two sons and their father).....and finished the whole project in about six hours!! I had one small caulking issue after they left, but returned a few days later after my call and took care of it. I was very pleased, and because of the type of window I purchased, I will also be able to take advantage of the $1500 energy tax credit that is available this year. The house is definitely quieter, and I'll be anxious to see some savings on my utility bills over the next few years. I also liked the option of using the "six months same as cash" terms.
