Window World

Went well. Showed up early. Got the job done. Great windows so far! I will need to place a service call though once weather warms up. Having some hardware issues.

Like many of the reviews, they were prompt, courteous and professional. I felt quite comfortable with them. They did not try to "sell" me anything. They gave me a quote and that was that. I chose to go with someone I know for the reason that I know them, they do qulaity work, and their bid was over $1,000.00 less.

After hearing advertisements, I decided to call Window World. A salesman scheduled a mutually agreeable time to meet and discuss options. (Unlike so many 'service' organizations, he did not live in the delusion that someone is available between 10-4 every day).. I was looking only for windows and learned that WW is (one of the) largest seller/manufacturer and confirmed quality of their product. The price, especially with the great warranty, and willingness to plan, made this a no-brainer. During initial discussion, I learned that they sold storm doors as well. I got a GREAT deal on a new door. Installation was amazingly smooth and efficient. I used another company in another home years ago. This installation was faster and of similar (Identical) quality. The crew cleaned up and hauled all of the rubbish away. They were careful indoors and outdoors. The service couldn't have been better. I recommend them highly. An "A" rating is NOT grade inflation.

The overall experience was good. The salesman who came to give us a quote was professional but not pushy. Once we made our decision to go with Window World they were very accurate in the time frame we were quoted for installation. The day of installation, they showed up on time and completed the job in a timely manner. They cleaned up after themselves well and left no mess or debris. Overall, we would use window world again for future projects.

Had all windows replaced. All work done by 1 person and finished in 1 day. Very professional and very knowledgeable. 1 window was ordered wrong but sent field manager out within the week to personally reorder the correct window (grids were installed when they should have not been). Took about another week to arrive and was installed that day. Very flexible to work with. Very good price and quality.

I needed windows on the front of the house due to weathering of wooden frames. A neighbor pointed out another neighbor that had some windows done recently. I asked her about her experience and she said Window World had done 12 windows for her and she was VERY happy, especially with utility bills and ease of cleaning. I joined Angie's List at that point and checked them out along with three or four other companies. No one had better ratings than Window World so I scheduled an estimate. I was surprised that an initial visit has a 3 hour allowance to cover everything. My salesman was Jack Baldridge, clearly a man with experience and knowledge of his product. I must say everything was explained to me just as it happened, and all questions were answered. I enquired about financing and Jack said the company worked through Wells Fargo and an instant-read line could be done online. We did this during the visit while Jack finished his measurements and calculations. He explained that 6 months was the same as cash. Some arrangement had to be in place for them to start to build the windows and we went ahead with the order as I was approved by Wells Fargo. The ONLY thing I would caution anyone on would be if you can't pay in 6 months. The reason for this is that after I got the order placed, I went to my bank and applied for a line of credit. This too was approved. I called Wells Fargo to let them know that I had arranged alternate financing. They said they woiuld need to hear that from Window World and get a release, which I understand fully from a business standpoint. Naturally, they asked why I chose this and I told them I did not plan to have this paid in 6 months. I asked about the rate after 6 months and they told me two things- that the rate was set by Window World and that they were simply a fiduciary agent in that regard. The "caution" comes from the fact that the rate was 27%! That was not mentioned at the time the order was place, and I admit I didn't ask. I had no further discussions with Window World on financing except when we scheduled the installation. When the installation department called to schedule the appointment, I told them about the line of credit and told them that I could mail them a check for the full amount since the bank approved me. They said they were completly comfortable with me just paying the installers. I appreciated that trust. The installers arrived 21 Sep, on time. The job was projected as being up to one hour per window, which would have been 9 hours. A crew of four men, Oscar, Jorge, Ishmael, and another Jorge did the work. I am still impressed by the courtesy and respect these men showed to both me and my home. (They even asked permission to plug in the chargers for their electric tools!) Awesome. I had a cooler full of bottled water for the men and doughuts/fresh fruit since this was a long job. They drank plenty of water, but they did not touch the food until the work was fully completed. It only took them five and a half hours as they did not rest and wasted no time. None. They cleaned up everything very well. (Then the doughnuts and fruit disappeared.) The work was all quality. All the windows operate smoothly (they took time to demonstrate this thoroughly) and all my questions were answered. Everything was caulked twice- inside and outside. And these guys can caulk! Great looking and sealed up very nicely. I cannot imagine how it could be done better. After this experience, I decided to go ahead with the half-round and patio door. Everything was the same. My seond crew was (I really hope I am remembering these men's names correctly) were Curt, Kyle and (I believe) Shelby. Same experience. Showed up on time, worked without interruption, GREAT looking on completion, and thoroughly cleaned up. The second crew put a promotional Window World sign in my front yard. Normally I object to that sort of thing cluttering of our neighborhoods, but on this occasion I left that sign there until the Kansas wind removed it. This experience was a very pleasant surprise. I thank Angie's List, my neighbors and this company for a job very well done. I recommend them without hesitation or reservation.

I called Window World (WW) based on the recommendations found on Angie's List. A salesperson came to my house to measure and give me the price estimate. He was very friendly and knowledgeable, but I had to "slow him down" several times to re-direct him to some particular questions I had. He responded well to that and answered every question I asked. I had thought I wanted casement windows, but he talked me out of those, although WW does provide them. In the end, I was grateful for this because there were considerations with casements I hadn't known about or thought of, and my final decision to go with double-hung was the right one. Approx. three weeks later (as promised) the windows arrived and I was contacted by a scheduler to have them installed. The two installers arrived when they said they would. They worked efficiently, and from all I can tell, did a very good job. One small thing I regretted was that they were both smokers. They didn't smoke in my house, of course, but I would have been happier if they hadn't smoked, at all, on my premises. (I realize this is probably an extreme view, but it impacted by comfort level so I thought I'd mention it.) The installers were courteous, friendly, helpful with my questions, and patient with a couple of things about the installation that they had to explain to me twice. I had expected them to leave the windows completely clean when they left, but each window had to be cleaned to remove "scuff marks" of caulk. They weren't large, but there were several on each window, both inside and out. This was a little disappointing. Subsequent to the installation I had to have a clip replaced on one of the windows that allows the window to be tilted open to clean. The repair took about 15 minutes, and was done without fuss or bother. Overall, I was very satisfied with this experience, and I love the windows.

The crew showed up when expected and worked very hard the first day to make absolutely certain all windows on my house (28 of them) had been removed and the new window installed prior to leaving for the day. The crew did consist of probably 5 to 6 people, but the day of the install it was also 105 degrees outside. They returned the following day to finish the installation which included encasing all outside would to eliminate any future problems with wood rot and to caulk the inside and outside of the windows. I was surprised to leased the windows and their installations were guaranteed for life. So if a little boy from next door throws a baseball through one of our windows, we simply provide Window World with a serial number from the window and in a weeks or two, the come to the house to pop in a new sash. Couldn't be much simpler. On Friday, August 17 the are returning to fine tune and replace some items that were damaged during installation. Also, they decided to replace two large casement windows because the grids on the casement windows did not line upi with the grids on the double hung windows hanging adjacent to the casement window. My wife and I really didn't notice, but the Window World supervisor who came to the job at the end of the 1st day of installation did and immediately ordered the replacements. That also speaks highly to their commitment to quality and to their customers. My wife and I could not be happier. Window World did what they said they would do and they did it for about half of what their competitors wanted to do the job.

They were great. They were like our favorite. Their customer service is very good. Their crew was very friendly, hardworking and efficient. There was a problem with two of the windows and a door that they had measured. They were very good about making sure that they got it in fast and fixed them. They were doing an entire houseful of windows. It wasn’t like they were doing six windows; they were doing 27 windows and 3 doors. We were pretty impressed with them. They are real professional. The biggest thing for us too was that they were by far the lowest price with the best product. They really kill on pricing.

So far, we are happy with the windows. It only took a few hours for them to be installed. When they were done, they handed me a checklist to ensure everything had been done. Only a few things needed to be done - more caulking around the windows and on one window, the top piece was broken. I feel the installers should have taken the time to inspect each and every window, rather than just having me do it. They should have looked them over, made sure they all opened and closed, and locked properly. We had 1 lock that did not work. They made a note to order a new top part to the window. We had to call regarding the lock as we only noticed there was a problem with it after they had left. We were told it would take about 2 weeks to get the new part. After 2 weeks, Window World made an appointment with us to replace the part and to fix the lock on June 28th. On June 28th, Window World called telling us they had received the wrong part. Ryan said they would have it the following Thursday or Monday, and would call us to take care of it asap. He confirmed the had written down the correct part #. On July 12th, Window World came back out to fix the lock and replace the window part. They did fix the lock, but still had the wrong part! I spoke with Kevin, and he got in touch with the Field Supervisor. They blamed whoever it is that sends the part, but when I pointed out that the receiver should be verifying that as well, he did agree. They were very apologetic, and re-ordered the part. They kept us informed once the part was ordered, and when they knew it was going to be sent. They arranged for the part to be sent by FedEx, and it arrived in a few days. They sent someone out a few days after receiving the correct part. Everything looks good so far! Aside from the inconvenience of the broken part & lock, we are happy with Window World. We would recommend Window World, but would suggest ensuring the installers check their own work, and then you should check it out yourself before they leave.

The repairman was early for the appointment instead of late as usually they did the job in a professional way, was friendly and reasonable. Would be glad to do work with them again in the future.

We originally had Window World out to estimate and replace all of our windows (13). They gave us a great price and were efficient clean, and professional. We even had them take out 3 small older windows to put in one larger one and they did the a great job...even providing some wood edging around the window making it look complete. Later we were replacing our gutters and soffits. They matched and beat our other offers. Again they were professional, quick and efficient. It was perfect because the color of the soffits and gutters would match exactly the wrapping of the windows. We were so compressed with the work of these two jobs we also contacted Window World when we were going to replace our back door and storm door. Again absolutely no complains. They did a great job!

Wonderful. The young man was very efficient and he was very personable. He did the job. I highly recommend them. My neighbors have even commented on how good my new windows look.

They were supposed to be here on 12/20 to install. When they were not here by noon I called. About a half hour later I got a call back. The installer knew nothing about it. He then called back shortly and said he had the materials and would be out in an hour and a half. By then it had started to rain, so I rescheduled for the next morning.. They did show up the next day. Everything appeared to be going well until I went outside to check their work there. There was one guy up on a ladder really struggling to get the 63" windows out by himself. I had white paint around the old windows and a lot of that paint, along with some wood was missing. They told me not to be concerned because when they were done I wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Not the case at all, let me stress that. In addition, they put large gouges on the interior wood windowsills. After I brought it to their attention. they tried to cover up a couple of the worst ones by using a different color stain. It looks awful. I didn't have them touch the rest. The price was good, but I failed to remember that you always get what your pay for.

I had their salesman, Jack, come out for a demo and estimate at the end of November 2011. He did a very good presentation and answered my questions without pressure to buy. I went ahead and purchased 12 windows. The windows were ready in January and were installed by Dennis and his crew. I was very impressed with their work ethic and professionalism. The windows look great and operate perfectly. ( I had the wrap added...looks awesome!). We've have several very windy days and a few rainy ones and there have been no problems with any of them so far. I am very pleased with the windows and service. They cleaned up the mess and hauled away the old windows. I would buy from them again. In fact, I will consider them when I have my house siding done this summer.

The salesperson who came to our home to measure was quiet and not convincing. However, we had thoroughly researched our options and selected Window World. The installation staff were outstanding. Very professional, thorough, and pleasant. Very happy with the outcome.

They were very curtious. They seemed very intentful to what I wanted done. They also cleaned up well.

They were awesome. They were quick, they came out and did the measurements, they replaced ten windows in one day, and they cleaned up their messes. I think it was the best price for what we got. I have no complaints.

I was satisfied with the end result of the job they did. I spent $5100 on that service. The job went very well and exactly as it was told to me it would. I intend using them again in the future.

They had put windows in our sons home and he was please so I had them come out and make an estimate, no hard selling he showed me what they had and all the costs, no hidden costs, they came when they were suppose to and finished the job in no time at all and did a very good job. If I could afford windows I would use them without a hesitation.

We are very happy with them. They guy who came out for the estimate was very knowledgeable and he was eager to share what he knew. He gave us a talk, he showed us the sample, and the price was better than another company we spoke with so we used them. They did the measuring and they were able to do the installation a little sooner than they thought they would be able to which was nice. Two guys did the installation and we were pleased. We’ll find out in the winter if any cold air blows in, but I think we are going to be a lot better off than we were with our old windows.

I was very pleased with the work. We had 19 windows installed and the work was done in one day. The crew arrived on time, cleaned up entirely and the job went smoothly, as promised. We had one of the windows crack and break about 2 weeks after being installed. Window World immediately replaced the window, no questions asked. The windows look wonderful and the outside trim is beautiful. I couldn't be more pleased.
