Window World

The entire process was smooth. The only downside was not WW fault. Based on the age of the property, they were required to use the lead-abatement procedures mandated by the government. This added delay, cost and additional hassle to the process.

They were very easy to deal with. They had a good price. They were on time, and professional.

I did a lot of research, had a lot of quotes and Window World exceeded all of the others. Jack came out to my house one afternoon, looked at all the old windows and than took his time and explained everything to me, showed me the new window product and answered probably a million questions I had. I would say that when he left the house I had decided to use them, but needed to wait and figure out if I could do all of them at once, or if I could only do a few. About a month and a half later I called him back, he came right out and measured, answered more questions and they got me on the schedule. The installation was a breeze compared to what I had in my mind. They were very nice guys, told me exactly what they were going to be doing. They put plastic everywhere in the house and so they were very diligent about cleanup. It took about 5 hours and I have been happy ever since. My old windows were original to the home and most I couldn't even open. I have been enjoying every single one of them this spring, having them open so easily and enjoying how easy it is to keep them clean.

They were very good. They cleaned up after themselves very well. They did a really good job. They took their time and got my windows in straight, which is hard to do because my house is not straight.

Three companies came out to bid my job. The first company's estimate was over twice the Window World bid. The other company could not match Window World's bid and provide the same product. After checking Angie's list and some other resources, it appeared that Window World was a reputable company, so I hired them. Because the windows were not standard stock, it took 5 to 6 weeks for them to be built. I had no problem with that. They called in that time frame and we scheduled a mutually agreeable date for them to install. They arrived within the promised timeframe and removed the old windows, installed and trimmed out the new ones within six hours. They cleaned up any messes that were made, were very polite, and respectful of my property. I plan on using them again in the near future to replace my picture windows on the lower level of my house, also.

When the salesman visited, he explained their product thoroughly and knowledgeably. When we said we wanted to take the windows, he spent several minutes measuring each window because, as he said, a house as old as ours (35 years old) rarely has a square window. Apparently he measured accurately because the windows fit perfectly. We also liked the salesman because he did not try to push us to buy options we did not want. want. On the day of the installation we were surprised that only a single worker arrived. We had expected a crew. However, the installer worked diligently and carefully, and we were pleased with his work. The windows look great and our house is no longer drafty.

I asked the salesman to make a presentation based on my brother's experience with Window World and with the salesman. The salesman was personable and knowledgeable - he has been doing this in the Kansas City area for years. We discussed my desire for a door from the master bedroom out to the deck The salesman called his warehouse and identified a door, in stock, that would work, and quoted a reasonable price for the door and its installation. We arrived at a mutually agreeable price for the door installation and the windows I wanted, and agreed on a tentative installation date. A couple days before the installation date, Window World to tell me the windows were received from the factory, and to set a time to arrive on site. It should be kept in mind that 90% of the responsibility for satisfaction with a job like this falls on the shoulders of the installers. Windows of this sort are a commodity; lots of outfits make them, and they're all pretty much the same price. Satisfaction with the job hinges pretty much on how well the installers do their job. In the case of this installation, the installers were superb - professional, skilled, efficient, and conscientious. The windows were hung plumb. There have been no air or water leaks around the windows. The trim they installed around the windows looks good, is very well-fitted, and caulked beautifully. It was clear from watching them work that they have done this before and know what they're doing. The window they converted to a door in the master bedroom looks like it has been there all along. Again, the fit, the trim (both inside and outside) are excellent, and it's really nice to have coffee in the morning out on the deck. I would recommend this salesman and this installation crew highly to anyone contemplating replacing one or more windows.

After rescheduling a couple of times since it snowed every day I picked for installation, we finally got a nice day. The crew arrived first thing in the morning, as planned and began work immediately. They carefully sealed the inside frames of all windows with plastic sheeting to keep the mess outside. In one day, they got all windows replaced and sealed, returning the next day to complete wood rot repair, and install the trim around the windows. Upon completion they cleaned up the work site...even vacuumed sawdust out of the grass in the yard. The windows have been in for a month now.. they all function smoothly and correctly. The windows look great, seal well, and enhance the value of this old house. Overall, I would have to say that Window World has a good product, excellent warranty and very competent installation crews.

They gave amount of information about how to fix my windows. I would recommend them very highly.

I just haven't decided on whether I want to work with them or not. But, they were fine. I think they are a good company.

They were professional and on time for the estimate. They were very nice and knew what they were talking about.

After receiving a bid on the windows, we asked if they could do the soffit all around the shop and fascia on east and west peaks of building. They bundled the price of windows to include the soffit and fascia at a very reasonable cost. They were prompt, professional and we were pleased with the cleanup. We found one window we were not happy with the installation and they immediately removed it and reinstalled to our satisfaction. We highly recommend Window World. We will probably consider them for siding later.

They were great. Very professional. The workers arrived on time, and were focused on the job. I would recommend them to anybody.

Several original windows had failed. They cam in and replaced them, and we added a few more to the job. Overall a good experience.

custom made windows ordered and installed in a timely manner. only took them couple hours to remove old ones and install new windows.

The salesman was very knowledgeable and brought demonstration windows for us. We scheduled installation at that time. The crew which brought windows was an installer and 3 helpers. Only the main installer spoke a modicum of English, so communication was limited to general topics and instruction. They were running late so arrived mid-afternoon, finishing our 4 windows when it was growing dark, We were asked to fill out a questionnaire at that time when thorough inspection could not be done without a flashlight. We gave them better than average marks as he watched us fill it out waiting to lwave while the helpers packed up. In future,we will not do this, as we noticed a few scratches and small gouges in the window trim the next morning. The windows are installed properly as far as we can tell and are better than the builders grade windows we had. I will request English speaking foreman in future also so there are no mis-understandings or concerns during installation. Even thought they used tarps over the carpeting they still managed to get caulk on the carpet from their shoes, as no booties were worn when removing the tarps. I know we told the salesman there were 3 panes across, but we got 4. They're close enough that the homes assoc will not notice. We'll replace the rest with the same number later. 1. The windows installed are much better than those that were replaced. 2. In general I was disappointed because we did see a bit of damage to the trim the next morning, which we can sand out and repaint over, but still... 3. We could not generate a better rapport with the installation crew due to the language barrier. 4. Never feel forced to fill out a review for the crew while they're in a hurry to leave, and in the dark before you have a thorough chance to inspect the work. Do it the next day and mail it in.

The salesman was thorough, friendly, and did not pressure me at all. Mark is knowledgeable about his product and answered all my questions. Once the order was placed, the windows were ready in less time than originally promised, which is a big plus. Installation took place a few days after a big snow storm, which concerned me. The installation crew was great. They worked well together to get the job done in, what I saw, was a short period of time. Each window was out only a moment or two to take the old one out and put the new one ine. All the windows were sealed and cleaned before the installation crew left. There was only one small issue with the windows (one of the windows did not match the order), and this was resolved quickly and with little fuss or need for follow up from me

Looks good. Windows tilt in to clean nicely. Ordered two color windows and windows match trim on outside and trim on inside. later I painted inside trim and they had used nonpaintable caulk so it won't hold the paint but I didn't think to mention this. The windows tilt in nicely for cleaning. The top does tend to drop down so I have to push it up to get the windows to lock. All appts kept and on time. I was disappointed that they didn't bring a high enough ladder to reach my upper windows and they had to lean out the windows to replace and wrap the exterior trim. One of the wraps isn't as good as the others.

The first time,the windows were measured and ordered and arrived very quickly. The instillation was very professional and the installers made sure I went over the windows carefully to be sure I was satisfied. They showed me how to use the windows. I had absolutely no problems with them. The second time, the windows were measured and ordered but took quite a bit longer to arrive. One of the kitchen windows was ordered wrong. They had to install it and reorder the window, then replace it. The installers had quite a hard time with the kitchen windows because of the location and the fact that my house is old. They did a little damage to the window sill but the foreman made sure they fixed it. The bathroom window was ordered wrong also (was supposed to open up and down but was ordered side to side). However, I liked the window and decided to leave it. Although I am ultimately very satisfied with the windows and have had no problems, it would have been nice to have been compensated in some way for the problems I had. The installation crew foreman was very nice and helpful as well as apologetic but had nothing to do with the payment. All in all, I am happy and I got what I wanted. Because I have had no problems with the windows, I would recommend this company.

FORGET IT THIS IS TOO MUCH TROUBLE!!!!!

Overall the job went okay. The windows are great except that we are in a high profile windy area and they did not really take that into account, so we need to contact them to help us out with that.

We called for an estimate to replace windows in our house. After the presentation, we decided this was not the product we wanted, and the sales representatives were very rude. Did not want to take no for an answer. I almost literally had to kick them out of my house. Great marketing, and probably a good product, but unprofessional.

They seem to do a good job. The sales person came out and went over things. Couple of windows came in with wrong grid work inside and they replaced them.

It was a good experience. We got good windows, and the price was right. They were pleasant, and they delivered what they were going to deliver.
