He was just awesome.

I got him from Angie’s list. He was very responsive. I wasn’t home when he came. He came the second time to tell me exactly what he was going to do. I appreciated that as otherwise I would have had a mess.

Called and gave my name, address, home phone and cell phone asking for a call back to get an estimate on removing three dead elms. Spoke to a woman, not an answering machine. Never received a call back. This company had received such positive reviews that I was looking forward to getting a quote. I waited a few weeks and finally went with another company.

Did not use since low bid was from another good company.

They do a really good job, they clean up, and they charge about half as much as the next person. They are very friendly and they show up when they say they are going to. They only charge you what they say they will in advance.

On time, reasonably priced, workers were well-organized, job completed quickly, and cleanup was perfect.

They worked with me when I could not afford to take down the entire tree. They were professional and personable. They cleaned up the area very well. They even cleaned my front yard while they were at it. I was very impressed.

Couldn't have gone any better. I called them and they gave me an estimate. We accepted their estimate after checking a few more. We set up a date. They were right there as schedule and were efficient and quick and did the complete job is such a short time I was able to spend a whole of my day doing other things afterward!

Everything went very good. They were really good about cleaning up after themselves. They had the best estimate out of the six estimates that I received. Their quality of work was very, very good.

I would have used him again and I liked his service. I have no problem doing business with him again and like I said the only thing that changed the outcome of that was because my neighbor came and under bid him.

. I found them on Angies List. They did quite a bit of work and they did it quickly too. In fact they had to come out and finish it up the next day because it had started to rain and it is tough on climbing trees. However they did it fine. I will positively use this company in the future.

Ever heard of a weekend project gone wrong.... well that is what happened. Found Uncle Stumpy on Angies List and called him on a Saturday evening. Explained to Uncle Stupy that I had attempted to cut down and dig out 3 large (around 50 years old) yews from my front yard and that I was unsuccessful at doing so. Uncle Stumpy agreed to come out on Sunday morning (the next day). He arrived right on time, had a great personality, and completed the work in about 45 minutes. He grinded the stumps down far enough that I didn't even need to dig more of a hole to plant my new shrubs in! He apologized that he had to charge a little more for it being the weekend and a drive for him, but it was well worth the price. Uncle Stumpy saved the day.

After getting three bids, we elected to go with Uncle Stumpy because he had a detailed bid on paper. The crew showed up on schedule and trimmed the trees for for several hours. The crew worked quickly and efficiently. After completing the cleaning up process, loading the tools and crew, Mike got us and walked us around the house. One tree still had a limb hanging over the house. Mike said that the crew tried but was unable to get to the limb because it was too small and dangerous. He said the larger extension of the limb wasn't in the bid. When we said we needed the limb down and asked about options. Mike got upset and said the branch wasn't a problem. We felt that it was a problem and asked if the limb could be cut closer to the tree. He agree to do it for an additional $50.00. We did not mind paying extra to cut off the limb closer to the tree. It was a bigger job to cut it and clean up the debris. However, we just didn't like the way that the matter was handled. Why not talk to us when they realized it was too dangerous to cut the limb at the extension rather than the base? The end result was a good job. The tree trimming looked good and they cleaned the area well. It just took concessions on us, and the contractor, to get there.

The work was incredible. The clean-up itself was true perfection. Not a speck was left. The yard looked much better than when they started. The tree work was done with care and nothing on or around the house was damaged. It was tree professionalism at its best. Mike is a good supervisor and his crew responded well to instructions. I will happily and with confidence recommend him to others. It was a joy to hire someone and actually have them do what was needed/wanted.

They did a good job and I was satisified.

Mike and his crew arrived about 9:30 a.m. and worked clear through til about 5:00 p.m. They started in on the two large oak trees in the front. Limbs were hanging on the roof and over the driveway. One of his men, Bobby, went up into the trees with a chain saw and ropes. He was literally swinging from limbs at one point. These trees are huge and had a lot of dead limbs. He cut them all out and when cutting the limbs hanging on the roof, Mike and a couple of other men maneuvered the limbs so they stood straight up and came straight down without touching the house. We were impressed. The rest of the crew worked on the lower limbs of the smaller trees while Bobby was finishing up the oaks. They carried all the limbs out to the driveway and piled them up. Bobby then went on to a split leaf elm, a birch and a bald cypress. Again, he was way up cleaning out dead limbs and trimming up. They hauled everything away and when it was time pay, Mike, the owner, said we actually owed less than he had estimated. They worked all day and earned every cent. We are very happy and would recommend Uncle Stumpy and his guys to everyone. They were very nice, professional and careful to make sure we were pleased with their work.

Very pleased with the results. A few areas of the grass/yard were torn up when the tree came down, but I feel this is to be expected due to the size of the tree alone. Nothing that can't be fixed with grass seed. They took great care to ensure no damage was done to my inground sprinkler system when bringing down the tree.

The company was great to work with. Phone calls were returned and we were kept informed when they would do the work. They were very fast and did a great job of clean-up in the yard as well as the street. I don't think that they left one leaf behind!

Mike came out the day after I called. I was not able to be there while the work was performed but as requested he aggressively pruned my Bradford pear and ground down a stump from a fallen tree. Two days later we had we had a huge storm taking down several trees in the area. I m glad Mike was able to come out right away or I probably would have lost another tree.

Did not come out in original timeline, but we've had lots of rain, so they were behind. Called to reschedule and came with equipment ready to give bid and do work if I was OK with price. I thought price was very good and they did very good work and clean up.

They did a good job of cleaning up. He was a nice guy, came when he said he would. They did a nice job and I am happy with it. He was very honest and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Mr. Mitchell was very courteous and professional. They sent proof of insurance before doing the work. They cleaned out a lot of branches and when they left, there was not a sign of their having been there. Fast, clean and efficient and given the fact that there was a crew of three not very expensive.
